Yeah same here. I was at the end of elementary school life, which is 6th grade where I live, though I know some places 6th grade is the start of middle school. I remember back then Whoopie was seen as very fresh, very new and hip. Not the older lady from The View she seen as today.
Ahahahah in the french dubbed version, she screams at the cop "No one told you that you're suffering from meninges constipation?" when Marty takes her away ^^
@@geoffwilliams4478 What wonderful parents you had. Where they edited for TV R rated movies? My parents wouldn't let me near an unedited R rated movie until was 11 or 12 in 7th grade, and I think I will do the same for my kids. I doh't want them seeing strange crap at a young age, but not be too sheltered either.

Whoopi Goldberg is underrated. Comedy, drama, street smart, millennia old sage..... even if se had been typecast... she would have changed that particular role forever....

One of my favorite movies except for Terri Doolittle's filthy mouth, which is what gives it the R rating. Unfortunately that was all too common in 80s movies. Give me 5 minutes and I'll make this script a PG.
Her and Marty's friendship was one of my favorite parts of this whole movie
1:19 LOL! I can imagine the audience in the theater back then laughing their a***s off. I want to watch this movie again!
God, I would love to see outtakes from this movie. I bet this scene alone had good ones. Especially with how she was flinging water everywhere.
The young people today don’t know how awesome Whoopi was
I agree. She used to be a good actor. Now she's just an idiot who wont shutup about her beliefs.
And still is btw . . amen tho
Yeah she really was. Shame she went nuts
As an actor, thats all
Back when she was fun and entertaining then the view happened 😞
My favorite movie ever! Reminds me of my childhood
This movie was my first introduction to Whoopie, and I'll always kind of remember her like this. :)
