I was blessed with Filipino nurses RNA'S and LVN'S when I lost my leg, seven months in the hospital is a long stay but after a while these women made me feel like I was worth something. I was depressed and with all the love they showed me, they brought me back to loving life. Thank God for my Filipinas...

The Philippines has contributed the skilled manpower to all nations and helping out what they lack of and making a difference throughout. It is misfortunate that some were taking advantage of and being mistreated by their employers. Some were sent home to their loved ones in a casket. All of them just want to make a better living for their families back home. Thanks and God bless

Yes of course. Education is very important to them. During the American rule from 1899 thru 1945. It was written in history book, It started when the U S colonized the Philippines, they brought education, shipload of teachers, books taught English even told them to speak English only, then Filipinos wanted to serve in the government, there were only Americans running the government, no natives but was told by the American government that for them to be able to serve they must go to school and finish college. So they did, It has been deeply ingrained that it made them what they are today, nurses, doctors engineers, teachers etc. They are even hired as teachers in the U S. Spain brought Catholic religion, built the oldest university in the world, but it was the American government who really taught them how important education was and is. English is the second language. A White House doctor was a Filipina during Bush 41, Clinton, Bush. 43rd. White House Executive chef is a Filipina. Many Filipinos works at the White House right now, mostly military men as when JFK was alive, he had a Filipino chef. When Ronald Reagan retired, then got sick, Nancy Reagan hired a Filipina to help them. Filipinos are caregivers, they are well-known for their patience, hard work.

Wow I think that's true I was also admitted in Singapore Hospital for dengue infection and we were asked to leave comments in a sheet of paper and many patients who are leaving the hospital talked so much good things In favor of the Filipino nurses. That's why Filipinos are like related to each others.

Equally amazing is the percentage of Filipinos in the world maritime industry. I read somewhere that more than 20 percent of seafarers in the world are Filipinos. I don't if it still holds true today but it is highly possible.
