ShipMonster, rent a jeep type vehicle and go to Lighthouse beach at the south end of the island. Be sure to google earth it and get your bearings straight before you set off. You can easily spend a large portion of the day there(pack a cooler). The Queens Bath is just south of you on the Atlantic side. Very cool place. Preachers Cave to the north is nice for a short visit. The beach there is nice too. Twin Brothers in Alice Town(just south of you) was good. I had lobster there. The Buccaneer Club in Governors Harbor is a nice stop for lunch. You should be able to find Ricardo rum for $12/bottle. Kalik is $40/case. We did some grocery shopping at "Big Rock" just north of James Cistern(we stayed in Rainbow Bay area). Take it slow and soak it in!
Nice vid! Great footage! What is the name of the song you had for background mx? It really fit the video! My wife and I are going there towards the end of the month....looks like it would be a good idea to rent a jeep to tour the island...thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jeff. The song is Sunspots by Jeremy Blake. Good idea to get a Jeep. You will get more access than with a car that way. The hidden beaches can be hard to find.
Thank you for the wonderful video. My wife and I are in the midst of planning our first trip to the Bahamas and trying to decide on a destination. Eleuthera appears beautiful. What is the name of the area you featured in the last minute or so of the video--a gorgeous, seemingly deserted beach beneath the cliffs?
Al, if you’re looking for seclusion and privacy with a slowed pace of life, Eleuthera is for you. LB has been bought by Disney. So be warned, it may not be accessible any longer.
@@mikehowardcincy2306 Last time I checked it was already private property, no? Doesn’t that mean it was never really technically, legally accessible? You were never stopped but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t technically illegal. Disney plans to give access to the parts not donated back to the Bahamian gov’t by Disney (as in the developed part) to citizens or residents of the Bahamas.
Great question@@ericwiliams9634 I had obtained the proper paperwork for bringing my drone to Eleuthera and was prepared to declare it and show customs the paperwork. When I stepped up to the counter, the customs agent asked what I had in my soft sided cooler, I replied, "meat". She asked why I would bring meat and I told her because I like certain cuts that I can't get on Eleu. When she opened the cooler to inspect, she saw my humidor(and my meat) with about 15 cigars in it. She then asked why I need so many cigars, I said, "you never know how many you'll need". She proceeded to take 2 and said, "move along". True story.
Beautiful Eleuthera! Was just there and now want to go right on back! Just left a like and a sub. Look forward to more great content. I also just published a video from Long Island Bahamas today. Hope you’ll get a chance to check it out. Thanks!
Beautiful 💗 thank u soooo very much for sharing
Name of the house at the beginning? Thank you 🙏
Dolphin House in Rainbow Bay. Excellent in every way.
This video is amazing!! Just like Eleuthera!
Thank you! It would take a 2 hour video like this to really showcase what all Eleuthera has to offer. But let's keep that our little secret. ;)

Mike this is a very nice video and has helped me with my review of the area. Can you share what kind of video device or camera you used? Thank you!
Thanks Rich. I used a GoPro Hero 5 and a DJI Mavic Pro drone.

I went back and looked again--and then saw the tag--Lighthouse beach...

Any issue drinking the local water or ice drinks?
We had bottled water and packaged ice. Didn't have any issues.
We stayed in that same house in May.
We loved it Kenny. Had everything we could possibly want and more. Hope to return someday.
@@mikehowardcincy2306 we are going back again next Spring.
you have any problems droning over there
No. Just use common sense and you'll be fine.
@@mikehowardcincy2306 how about at airport ? did you report having it
