I’ve actually seen some bama fans try to somehow spin this into a positive which is insane. Last year the team had to figure out their identity after they got embarrassed by Texas. This year they were at home and Milroe played the whole game. They certainly started meshing better in the 4th, but they also had better opportunities to do so after usf turned over on downs twice. If usf actually had a qb that could throw the ball accurately at all, this would’ve been a completely different game. Yet this defense still allowed points despite the qb pretty much just running it the whole time. And when he was forced to throw in the 4th to play catch up, they failed simple as that. Bama should be embarrassed.

Mistakes like penalties and fumbles can be game wreckers, no doubt. But they can be corrected. Getting bullied on the line of scrimmage is a much more serious issue. Alabama has deep issues on the offensive line.
Bama was playing 2 backup lineman, however that many penalties is inexcusable and if Byrum Brown could throw the ball that game would have been a lot closer in the 4th. Not gonna say they would have lost cause Pritchett came in and offense started clicking. Defense honestly got exposed Byrum Brown just can’t throw the ball.
Cade Klubnik crushed it 24 of 26, 378 Passing Yards with 7 TD's (5 Pass/2 Rush), and Clemson scored TD's on all 8 possessions in the first half. He didn't play in the 2nd Half, and App State is one of the better group of 5 programs. You should check out the highlights. Clemson 66 App State 20, this is the best half for a QB in the history of Clemson by so many metrics, it's as perfect a half as you can have.
IMHO losing Ryan Grubb, OC and Scott Huff, OL coach to the Seattle Seahawks hurts Kalen Deboer's offense much more than anyone realized. One thing that was immediate apparent to me, the variety of pre-snap motions, the shifts, and disguises were missing from the Bama offense. That is the core foundation of Kalen Deboer's offense. The variety of screens to counter overly aggressive defensive fronts were also not there. Maybe Bama's existing personnel isn't the right fit? Milrose struggled. Maybe thinking too much? Kalen Deboer's last 2 QBs were Michael Penix Jr and Jake Haener. Very different skill sets, and certainly don't have the physical talent of Milrose. Nevertheless, both are in the NFL.

Everyone outside of Alabama knew they would struggle this year. The G.O.A.T. former Alabama Coach Saban was the big motor for the team. After the G.O.A.T. Bear Bryant retired it took a while to win another National Championship. They won one under Gene Stallions in 1992. Than Nick Saban came along and started playing great football winning many national championships starting in 2009.
Defense definitely played better than the Offense, but their QB should take most of the credit, overthrew multiple wide open receivers that were basically free TDs from the defense.
@@deathgrinderb3284 I wouldn't really say bad, but it definitely wasn't as good as Matt is making it out to be. USF QB running all over them, multiple plays that would be TDs if he could hit the wide open receiver, just average play all around, but they did hold them to only 16 points, so can't really say bad.
@@SadGhstyea defense did ok but not that good I give them 3 points is all usf should’ve got we can’t play like that against a good offenseive team because it’s gone be about 4 or 5 games where the defense gone have to play A+ game
O-Line play and the secondary got smoked a ton of times the USF qb can’t throw. We need to be really worried about Wisconsin. We’ll see if DeBoer can right the ship. Believe it or not even Saban never fixed those same problems last year. He just coached at another level even for him to compensate for this team draw backs.
It shows that saban is the 🐐 for many reasons. Bama is not in the same era anymore like the last 17 years and last night was the 1st indicator of the beginning of that
14:51 I have to disagree because if USF’s QB could throw the ball the game would have been over, I can recall at least 6 times last night USF had WR’s running wide ass open down the field.
matt just wanted to say as an ou fan i feel this video so much, i just hope this was some fluke week and next saturday our teams will be back to the standard of each others programs
You should've gone with your first thing you said. This is a different team from last year alot of new pieces and young pieces. This is actually a good win for the team. Games like this is the reason why we best Georgia every year. We get every teams best shot. I'll tell you this getting tested is good, and there is a big difference between a tested undefeated team and a team whose games are over before the 4th starts.
U nailed it right there. Matt always said he first watched bama football as a fan in 2007 that’s when saban was hired. I wish more ppl would wake up and realize that what u said is the most accurate statement ever. Like seriously life without 🐐 saban is very different Matt hasnt seen bama before 2007 so I don’t blame him for his reactions in that regard. But make no mistake about it, this is only the beginning of reality hitting for bama nation post saban.
tbh, it felt like they really wasn't trying. Then in the 4th when they actually needed to finally start playing they did. Also that offensive line was so damn shifted around and people playing different positions, it took them awhile to try an get used to it. Especially against an explosive defensive they was up against.
Ladies and gentlemen y'all get ready because your future presentation has just started.... what is the movie which some of us have already seen and some of these young ones like young Matt here have no idea about before Nick Saban you have no idea the Alabama World from 1995 to 2005 everybody get ready this is about to be the most spectacular Fall From Grace you have ever seen and much love from Clemson South carolina..... I would have kept my mouth shut but since everybody else wants to run their mouth about stuff that does not concern them if you know what I'm saying. Enjoy your future presentation anybody that has something wrong with what I've said you're probably 10 years too young to qualify to even speak to me
I have never seen a program set itself back years trying to force a square peg into a round hole like BAMA has done with JM!! JM couldn't run Saban's offense, and he can't run KD's offense. We are relegated to drawing plays in the dirt and backyard football!
Bro, you can’t buy into one game too much! Think back to last season, we played like ass against Auburn and then came back the next week and beat Georgia! This is part of it when you have a young team without excellent leadership! Played worse than tonight last year vs South Florida! Don’t lose hope, I think this team can be really good if they clean up the stupid mistakes and get healthy on the line!
This is pretty valid. The big problems I’ve noticed this year so far from Bama are penalties and fumbles, both of which can be cleaned up with a little discipline. If they can clean those up, watch out for Alabama
Disagree with analysis of Milroe. USF played 2 safeties most of the game with 9 guys within 5 yds of the LOS. Bama was running a deep route on one side and a square in on the other side of the field. The square in was open time after time after time. Nobody within 15 yds of him. Milroe chunked it deep into double coverage every time. He isn't reading the defense. If you throw that square in route in makes the LBer's play softer which opens up the run game. USF was DARING Milroe to throw the intermediate route and he wouldn't.
Hey Matt, I'm with everything your taking cause they aren't playing as a Team(HIGH SCHOOL) BAMA isn't playing with TRADITION /STANDARD /PRIDE. They need to get together behind doors like last year and Finish STRONG For themselves and the greatest coach of all time but what do I know. I have been a Bama fan for all my life(58yrs)
Every year we are supposed to have the best O line but somehow it never pans out. Same with the D, we were going to have best D for years but doesn't quite work out!!!! Their Quarterback broke 10 tackles at least, probably more, I lost count!!!!
100% agree with you again. It’s funny cause I said the react same thing. We ain’t played this bad since we lost to Clemson I 18. One thing that wasn’t mentioned though…. Thank god that qb wasn’t accurate with the deep ball because if he was…. Man we might not have got out with the W.
This needed to happen, get this bullshit out the way; early I can tell when a team is not focused. Especially Alabama. Credit to USF though they fought as hard as they could
Texas doesn’t play bama this year. I wish they did tho bc Texas would beat em by at least 3 TD this year I think. Texas and UGA are the 2 clear cut best teams in the SEC and it’s not close atm they both complete teams nobody else is and I’m saying that as a LSU fan.
You are right Matthew!! Our O-line was PATHETIC!! I could not believe what I was watching!! We all watched, we saw. Jalen is STILL getting sacked every other play, while he is scrambling around trying to find space so he can throw!! I hope Formby has been benched until he learnes how to block !! This was the worst our Crimson Tide has played in a very long time. I hope & I pray the practices this week are tremendously tough and the guys will focus and start back playing BAMA football!! Good grief!! ROLL TIDE!! 🐘🐘🐘🐘
Our OC was up in the booth absolutely losing his mind. I don’t blame him because I was too. The penalties we were getting were completely uncalled for and not up to the Alabama standard. That has to be fixed. No excuses.
We've taken a step back on offense for sure. The o-line needs to get these penalties and blocking issues fixed. I have faith they will but it needs to happen ASAP
I don't trust Jalen. Never have, never will. He can't think quick enough and can't see the field. The line is so slow , they couldn't stop a high school team last night. We need to play the 2nd team more to try and find some better players. The last time I saw them play that bad was against Louisiana Monroe in 2007 when they beat us for Homecoming!
They show flashes of greatness it's just the small things, the distractions like Saban, Julio Jones & all those old Alabama QB's on the sidelines distracting them and having to play musical chairs on our OL because we don't have good depth on the OL & the problems go on.. the flags & fumbles are the biggest things to fix.. if we fix those 2 things I think we will be the most dangerous team in the country.. we can block at times when they aren't bringing all sorts of pressure with smaller faster players & were stuck with backups on the line.. Pritchett came in and played like a champ when they pulled formby.. we'll be alright #LANK
First off Roll Damn Tide. So I'm just a layman but in MY OPINION I think maybe the issue is lack of accountability. It seems to look like the talent is still there and DeBoy is a good coach, but it almost feels like some of the patients may be running the asylum. Penalties .... fumbles..... The days of Saban Control are for sure gone. You made the comment they didnt look like Bama football and sadly I dont think we will ever see our Bama again atleast the version we all knew. Doesnt mean we cant be great ....just that it will not ever feel like what we got to experience for the last 15 years or so. I really cant see that level of Dynasty exsisting in this age of college football with NIL ( which I agree with) and transfer portals ( which I feel need to be ammended a little). I still love Alabama Football and will continue too. Roll Tide Roll #mattbesadd
For too many seasons, the Tide seems to play with a sense of privilege, depending on sheer talent. But when SF lines up for the second year and shows no fear whatsoever, it makes you wonder what will happen against teams that can bring the talent.
I like Daboer but the lack of discipline on this team is really showing. It doesn't seem like the players fear or respect him. Anytime you see our players on the sideline or practice its all laughing, goofing around dancing. Just saying things were soo different under Saban
Deboer has had the most disciplined teams throughout his career. Washington hardly had any penalties either when he was there. Bama played well on both side of the ball, but the penalties hurt them a lot, otherwise it would've been another 60 point game. Bama had discipline problems under Saban.
We had discipline problems under Saban the past 4 years and it’s embarrassing that it continues to go on that’s not Bama football some of these kids just not focused no more
Well Clemson looked 1000% better than Bama this week. Maybe Clemson is finally putting it all together, but only time will tell. Bama has a lot of work to do.
We just witnessed Pritchett take over the RT battle & he's now our guy.. and when Proctor comes back and we move Booker back to LG we will be straight on the OL it's just the depth I'm worried about
Welcome back to reality Alabama Fans! Your nigh on 17 years of dominance has spoiled you to the point of expecting this kind of perfection from a new coach and new team.
Yo jus be grateful Bama made the right adjustments eventhough it took the Tide 3Qs. Could have struggled like Oregon or even worse looking like Auburn and Arkansas 🐘🏈
Crazy part is they scored 21 points in like 6 mins once they put Pritchett in for Formby! The line can be really good when we get Proctor back and keep Pritchett at RT. But moving dudes around and having 2 guys out caused absolute chaos on the 0-line. I love Milroe but I’ll be ready to have a on field leader/coach at QB again. I like really smart QBs who keep everyone in check and are constantly talking to everyone on the offense…and can audible at the line without needing a OC & are calling out the blitz before it ever comes!
I would also say that Milroe needs to learn when to give up on a play. I feel like there was twice where alabama could have punted and pinned usf deep, but milroe ran backwards like 15 yards trying to make something out of nothing
If we play like that against better competitions it'll be a long night. Defense can only hold up for so long. Bright side is they won, Wisconsin up next hopefully everything will get better
Formby had some bad plays, but he didn't cause the 3 lost fumbles or the false starts by Booker or all of the TFLs. He did, though, have 4 penalties on himself, so that was a factor. But this is a pretty existential question to figure out ahead of Wisconsin. To your point about USF not being serious competition, clearly the last two years they have been. Nothing suggests otherwise. I dont think we'd be ranting about a game like this if it wasnt serious competition. Hopefully next week things straighten out.
Matt said it best last week: Championship teams do the fundamentals at a high level. The performance last night was HORRIBLE!!!! This team has major issues and has not played to the standard for 4 seasons now. This level of bad play by Alabama is unexpectable!!! I'm also comparing them to a standard. The penalties, the missed blocks, the missed tackles on defense, getting bullied, not winning at the point of attack. People are saying that Bama has an elite defense. I say if USF had a QB with better arm talent, this would have been a much different game! NOT THE STANDARD AND I'M HONESTLY DISGUSTED!!!! They are not doing the basics right, and they had all off-season to work on the basis. We are in for a LONG season!!!!!
i would grade down USF's coaching a level just for attempting that FG at the end instead of going for it there. The FG would've been no help even if they made it...
Bro, I love your channel, but we need to pump the brakes a bit I think. We at Alabama preach and prep play 4 quarters. We didn't play well for 3.5 quarters but......we freaking dominated that last half of the 4th. I think we need to talk about that more, maybe? Jmo
I still believe last year was worse than this year as far as offense goes especially from a 4th quarter standpoint when it comes to points other they were literally shooting themselves in the foot as to the reason why they couldn’t score this year last year I feel as if it was just completely an ugly display throughout the game offensively we actually got to pass on them and actually had passing tds against them last year we didn’t we accumulated much more yards than last year dispite the flags. The defense looked more exposed this year than last year, but I’ll say this the running backs really couldn’t get opened up cause as soon as they took the ball they’d be nailed in the backfield. I believe they underestimated a smaller team and go handled til the 4th
Penalties are what killed USF in this game. They played a great defensive game. If they were better on passing that final score would’ve probably been a 1 point game. October for Bama is gonna be a tough one if the UGA game isn’t close.
USF coach said they took the 3 points cause the defense had been playing well and believed they would get the stop and they could get 1 final drive for the chance to win.
Matt we not gone blow everybody out and sometimes we will be battle tested USF is a really good team and it’s jus game 2 not to mention we struggled with this same team last year

You would be surprised at how much of a difference one O-lineman can make. With 10 minutes in the fourth we brought in Elijah Pritchett for Formby.
Once Wilkin Formby came out we scored 3 straight touchdowns. That’s insane
Insane that Bama's backup is that bad. Hopefully he just had a bad game and is actually better than that. O line is extremely important.
@@coreygardner59 he’s a complete nepo kid from Tuscaloosa. He’s has no business on the field. Looks like the fucking pilsbury doughboy
You didn't have a QB battle this year, but you had an OL with new people in 3 positions until the last 6 snaps where we scored 6 TDs.
I expected this type of recap video Matt. Gotta get these things cleaned up fast. But the quick strike capability is sick!
We are such an undisciplined team right now and it shows big time.
While I was watching the first 3 quarters all I could think was how great it is to not be a Oregon or auburn fan
Hope it continues.
And yall still gonna suck this year lol he’s that portal
Definitely disappointed in our performance tonight. Take it to the chin and focus on the next game though!
That's because we don't have the right ryoe of lineman for that yet. We using power lineman

The offense was a night and day defference as soon as we benched Fromby.
Kalen daboer is an amazing coach
As a Michigan fan, welcome to the couch
We couldn’t run the ball because they weren’t respecting Milroe’s arm
Now I have to watch the LOWLIGHTS of the Alabama game.
Defense definitely played better than the Offense, but their QB should take most of the credit, overthrew multiple wide open receivers that were basically free TDs from the defense.
so bama played bad d also? i was watching the vols nc state game.
@@SadGhst thx for the info.
@@SadGhstyea defense did ok but not that good I give them 3 points is all usf should’ve got we can’t play like that against a good offenseive team because it’s gone be about 4 or 5 games where the defense gone have to play A+ game
@@deathgrinderb3284 yes... not Bama standards
We had the most penalties of all time, 13-120yds……sad,sad,sad 😢
Some were BS, and there were many “missed calls”.
Those refs were horrible and nit picky, while ignoring lots of holding and PI by Florida.
matt just wanted to say as an ou fan i feel this video so much, i just hope this was some fluke week and next saturday our teams will be back to the standard of each others programs
11:06 im dead😭😭 I ain’t paying peacock neither😭😭😭
You should've gone with your first thing you said. This is a different team from last year alot of new pieces and young pieces. This is actually a good win for the team. Games like this is the reason why we best Georgia every year. We get every teams best shot. I'll tell you this getting tested is good, and there is a big difference between a tested undefeated team and a team whose games are over before the 4th starts.
This dude’s tasting reality for the first time since 2007, and I love every second of it😂😂😂
TCU: 7-65 FSU: 3-63 Alabama: 0-???
Could've been worst. Could've been like Notre Dame.
Alex Golesh is a really good coach. As a Tennessee fan I hated to see him leave.
I was shaking so much after the fumbled snap I for sure thought it was over
Disagree with analysis of Milroe.
The talent has been spread around college football! 1. Georgia 2. The Ohio State 3 Texas and then the rest!!!! N.I.L. has made it closer!!
This needed to happen, get this bullshit out the way; early I can tell when a team is not focused. Especially Alabama. Credit to USF though they fought as hard as they could
MILROE SAID LAST WEEK THAT HE PREFERRED THE SOFTER DEBOR APPROACH IN PRACTICE COMPARED TO SABAN HALLERING AT EVERYBODY
Such a sloppy game for alabama
Many schools in the top 15 struggled today. We'll chalk it up to them just having a bad day, especially if they won as in the case of Bama and PSU.
Quinn Ewers is about to have himself a few heisman moments when he plays bama😂
No excuses.
We gotta start putting respect on some of these non power 4 teams they competing and deserve some credit.
Invasion of Body Snatchers!!! Old Dawg
Matt we had two starting ol men out.
I miss you Matt
We wont win many games if we play like that it's sad but true...
For too many seasons, the Tide seems to play with a sense of privilege, depending on sheer talent. But when SF lines up for the second year and shows no fear whatsoever, it makes you wonder what will happen against teams that can bring the talent.
Nothing will happen 😂 Bama will still continue to win and get better
I like Daboer but the lack of discipline on this team is really showing. It doesn't seem like the players fear or respect him. Anytime you see our players on the sideline or practice its all laughing, goofing around dancing. Just saying things were soo different under Saban
Deboer has had the most disciplined teams throughout his career. Washington hardly had any penalties either when he was there. Bama played well on both side of the ball, but the penalties hurt them a lot, otherwise it would've been another 60 point game. Bama had discipline problems under Saban.
We had discipline problems under Saban the past 4 years and it’s embarrassing that it continues to go on that’s not Bama football some of these kids just not focused no more
Well we ain’t under saban anymore get over it brat ass fan lmao
@@Trap9510 thats why Saban left...
Well Clemson looked 1000% better than Bama this week. Maybe Clemson is finally putting it all together, but only time will tell. Bama has a lot of work to do.
I was critical of you last week after wku but i completely agree with you this week white randy
Not even gonna make any bald jokes 😢
We just witnessed Pritchett take over the RT battle & he's now our guy.. and when Proctor comes back and we move Booker back to LG we will be straight on the OL it's just the depth I'm worried about
It was the o-line, they had so many holding penalties and they brought more pressure for Jalen . We need procter back really bad.

Welcome back to reality Alabama Fans! Your nigh on 17 years of dominance has spoiled you to the point of expecting this kind of perfection from a new coach and new team.
The DC was texas DC 5 years ago. Bama o line couldn't pick up blocks from differnt ways.
i’d say 2022 vs texas a&m last time we’ve played this bad
Vs Tennessee, because they had 17 penalties that game
Still waiting on your video on Ole Miss. Your take on LSU would be interesting also.
Man it didn't matter if milroe called out the blitz or not.. formby was getting manhandled..no audible is fixing that protection 🤷🏾♂️
tide has 4 losses coming this year and no playoffs
I would also say that Milroe needs to learn when to give up on a play. I feel like there was twice where alabama could have punted and pinned usf deep, but milroe ran backwards like 15 yards trying to make something out of nothing
😂Only thing that help was fresh legs come in but better play don't thank so
@@KerryCarson-r3n Georgia gonna take them out back and then tell bama to be quiet or they'll get it worse
A W is a W. Be glad for it.
i would grade down USF's coaching a level just for attempting that FG at the end instead of going for it there. The FG would've been no help even if they made it...
Peacock is not worth it you couldn't even the 4th quarter😭
Matt did you notice how serious our pass rush looks? Not even being biased we may have the best past rush in the nation. GO GAMECOCKS🤙🐓
