I have the utmost respect for the designers, engineers, and even the pure heritage of the Porsche marque. Legendary mainstays, like the 911 series, are true testaments to what the drive can and should be. But this - this humble, simple little car is a true star in my eyes. It recaptured some of the essence of what made Porsche, well, Porsche. They may have little value right now, and perhaps they have aged a little worse than their pricier counterparts, but they are pure driving enjoyment in an attainable and moderately reliable package, and that deserves true respect. These are the Boxsters I grew up with and will continue to love forevermore!
Now, that's what I call a great salesman. Laid back, not pushy, just singing along the song of my money going into his wallet. I could listen to him selling me stuff all day.
Bill sounds like a super salesman with all the pitches and buzzwords to go along with it. I have seen a few that are just as nice as this one. There are PLENTY out there that are in pristine condition with low mileage and garage kept.God bless you Bill! Cheers!
I picked up one 2 days ago, Dec 2021. '00 silver. Funny thing mine has... 56K miles as well and it's in pristine condition. Mine has missing covers of the mirror on the sun visors indeed. I was considering a brand new Miata but being 6'5" the choice was clear. Love this car.
Easy, I have a 1998 Boxster, 57k miles, servicing from a dealer is expensive but I want to keep the Porsche stamp on the log book, insurance isn't bad, less than 500 euros fully com
The Boxster S came out in 2000. I think the Bose option also came out in that year, or it came out in the 2003 refresh. The interior looks way dated, much more so than I remember, but the chassis and the way it handles is amazing. The 201 HP flat six is underpowered for sure, but that makes it a slow car that is fun to drive fast, as they say. Just don’t get the tiptronic.
I have seen a nice 1999 2.5 ..... would you recommend this over a 2003 Boxster S. I realise the S is a way more powerful car but is the 2.5 in a way more of a classic ?? ...
I'd say the 2.5 is the true classic Boxster. It still had a throttle cable. Much more of an old, mechanical Porsche experience than the '00 and up with their computer controlled throttles. Simple, unseen details like that mean a lot.
You dont even know how to close the 'fronk' properly. NEVER close it over the emblem... NEVER!!! learn to close the trunk just below, thats how you do it properly.
Why would you be ashamed in a car like this? They're not expensive cars by any means but if you let people know "hey I wanted a fun car and this is what I could afford" nobody would bat an eye. You'd definitely be ashamed in this car if you're trying to act like you're rich though, because then people will be judgmental "oh yeah, if you're so rich then you should've gotten a 911"
@@RickyG225 read my comment again lol. I meant the only way he'd actually be ashamed of owning a 7 thousand buck Porsche is if he tried to pass it off as a 100 thousand dollar Porsche when it's clearly not. Aka flexing what you don't have.
This used to be my car. Thanks for calling me a creep.
Lol
Hahaha, this was in positive way, at least that's how we take it.. God bless you for keeping her like new..
“You got a great little ash tray here if you wanna take up smoking” lol
Hated by people who know zero about cars

Great video! I love watching your videos (50% for the car 50% for Florida, I lived near Miromar outlets last year and I miss the weather!)

Is a Porsche as reliable as a Lexus like I used to see on surveys--even after the factory warranty period?
How much is the car?
Thats great
Why drive it in such a run down neighborhood 🤔
hows a a car like this with 90k miles on it for a 26 year old. Insurance and maintenance ??

Um the S is not 'way more powerful'. It's not even noticeable.

I paid £2150 for one 2 weeks ago
@@kingofthewestmidlands4049 I just paid £1600 for one. What kind of condition was yours in for that price?

It's a strap on leather cover for the front portion of the bumper and hood.
They were popular is the 90s and 00s you dont see them anymore
Frunk’em!
You got a couple of warning lights on the dash, might need some work
