I've had to stop watching half way through because I'm in the library and there is a high risk I might burst out laughing at the Rupert-Grint-in-Dan's-bedroom fiasco
Although I loved watching this, I can't help but feel this pang of jealousy for how well made and chronicled your memories will be. Even if you never uploaded these videos to TH-cam, this feels like it would have been a worthwhile project just for yourself. Even though its clear that you're pleased with how this has turned out, I don't think it'll quite hit you till later how grateful future Jack is going to be.
That's why I'm doing it. I'll let you in on a secret. At the end, before it cuts to static, it's muffled but you can hear me say "you're making these for you, not for them."
JackHoward Keep that mantra. I know its hard in the TH-cam sphere with stupid numbers and such, but this one thing is for you, we're just lucky that you're sharing it :).
I don't usually comment in TH-cam videos, I actually don't comment at all, but I just fell like Jack's content deserves a comment. So amazing, thank you for the few incredible minutes that you give us. From São Paulo, Brazil
I feel like even if Jack only posted videos (not necessarily only this series, but any kind) once a month I would watch them more often than videos from TH-camrs who post weekly. This was thoroughly entertaining and while it would be nice to see other TH-camrs who vlog try and do something similar to this, I'm not entirely sure they would be able to execute it in the same way. It's not necessarily the editing style that I come to this channel for, it's more so Jack's personality and the fact that his videos seem to be about whatever he wants them to be about, like his general interests, which is far more entertaining than tag/challenge/relatable videos.
I was smiling throughout this. Then you mentioned being lonely and brought on what sounded like the UP theme tune and I went all sad.... :( Can't wait to see your future. Possibilities are endless.
This was so good. The Rupert Grint made me laugh too loud at work, just brilliant. The little songs by people were also so good and the last one especially with the clay you and the camera, yes. Great first episode, Jack.
Jeez. I never, ever comment on vids, but this was fantastic, and I just wanted you to know that it had an impact on a shy TH-cam viewer. So beautifully filmed and such a small but meaningful glimpse into a creator's daily life. This was gorgeous, and I can't say enough how lovely your cinematography style is (and also, a+ music). Thank you for continually raising the bar for content creators on TH-cam. It makes life so much better for us simple viewers. (also, whiplash for the oscar. that's all.)
I keep hearing that there is a disturbingly misogynistic bit at the end of Kingsman... can anyone elaborate? I probably don't want to go and see the film if that's its tone. Also, awesome 1st PMS Jack!
Dreamy Things The whole film is a hat tip to old Bond films. At the end of those films, Bond is always in bed with whatever lady it happens to be. This film does the same thing but takes it a step further. I found it very funny but could see why people wouldn't respond well.
Just so friggin good. With everyone documenting their life daily now, it is so great to watch this new format of vlogging that you have come up with. It's so well thought out and I massively appreciate the effort you've put in and your new ideas! Especially love the varied little 'Jack's Pretentious Monthly Scrapbook' bits that ran through this. It really did feel like I was watching your nostalgic home video! Clever Jack!
That was brilliant. The cinematic feel, the editing, the personal and wonderful way you catch the daily vlogging aspect, all of it was beautiful. Well done!! I look forward to more JackPMS :P
Jack, this entire video was really beautiful but the back and forth between 1995 and 2015 for your sister's birthday was really incredible. I may or may not have shed a tear. The amount of effort you put into your work truly shows :)
This is going to be so amazing for you to look back on. :) I know I used to keep journals for years (from when I was 7 to 18) but when I was 19, I decided to I didn't want to remember all of my past and I threw them all out. Now at 23, I really wish I hadn't. It's nice to occasionally look back on things and see where you were in your life and how it's changed. This PMS series will be such a great way of doing that. :) This was wonderfully done, Jack! :)
Jack Howard: raising the bar for vloggers in 2015. No but seriously. I'm a sucker for anything nostalgic and this felt so sentimental and beautiful. Really loved it...I look forward to the next video xx
This reminds me of Carrie Hope Fletcher's letters to autumn, but in a very condensed version. You have the same nostalgic resonance and also offer a little glimpse of your life. The result is authentic and emotionally dense, and the potentially pretentious aspect is neutralized by the ironic title. Congrats :)
I love Dan's entire reaction to Rupert so so much lol RIP Jack's Amazing Beard 2015-2015 12:43 and onward affected me and I can't really put into words how, but I like it. Nostalgia is probably my favorite feeling.
Came into this thinking I'd moderately enjoy the series, but was pleasantly surprised to find that I genuinely and greatly enjoyed it. It's clear that a lot of time and thought went into crafting it. The pacing and the division into sections truly felt like the digital media equivalent of flipping through a scrapbook. Job well done.
I can't tell you how grateful I am that you're creating these. I can only say that it's beautiful, and you're giving a great gift to yourself, by preserving your memories like this.
I LOVE the way this has been arranged and edited, like literally watching little scraps of things you did in january. I didn't understand the concept at first, but i'm glad it's not just a vlog. But of course i did not expect *just* a vlog from Jack Howard. So pretentious, jeez.
Literally nothing I've ever watched has made me want to film my life more than this video. I want memories like this to look back on when I'm old and boring. Even though now I'm young and boring, I still love this idea. Thanks for sharing your life with us Jack.
I LOVE this. It really is the perfect amount of funny, fuzzy nostalgia, and pretentiousness! All without feeling too over the top, ya know? Like it doesn't feel super try-hard, it feels genuine. I'm very excited to see more of PMS and how it develops throughout the year!
Well, this is the first video I saw of you and I already subscribed. It's wonderful and imagine the thought when you watch these scrapbooks next year or even in ten years, it's just an amazing way to save memories and I envy you a little bit for that. I'm already looking forward for the February scrapbook! (sorry if I made any mistakes)
Jack, I love the way you edit your videos but this PMS series especially is a step up a (if that's even possible) in your editing skills. I look forward to February :)
1 episode in and this may be my new favourite series on youtube, the weird "I'm so excited for pms" tweets were worth it bc this is amazing! Well done Jack
I thoroughly enjoyed that and the weird thing is that I'm feeling like empathetically nostalgic. Like I can't actually feel nostalgic about these events because they didn't happen to me, they happened to you. But this video kinda of makes me think about what I've done and accomplished in the last month and maybe thats why I'm feeling this odd pseudo-nostalgia. Anyways, it was cool to see what you were up to and I can't wait for your PMS next month. :)
Oh god is it bad to say I got a bit teary-eyed during that last part? That was so beautiful and touching. Well done, Jack! Not that you need anymore praise from the masses. (Kidding, of course.)
I know lots of effort go into youtube videos, but the quality of jack's videos just seems so superior, and they feel so sincere. This video just warmed my heart, especially his last comments, and I just thought I'd put the effort in for once to comment and say I really enjoyed this video and I cant wait for the next PMS
A great and effective story is meant to grab your gut, pull at your heart strings, bring an explosion of laughter to your lips and make your eyes a little watery. You manage to bloody brilliantly execute every bit of that via what is virtually just a (pretentious) vlog. Completely ace Jack.
You did an excellent job and I'm very proud of you. Well done.
Shit me that was sincere.
love you louise 🌙💕
😄😄
YES. THIS IS PERFECT
Ciaran is the real protagonist of this vlog. And the real protagonist of your life, Jack.
why did you leave out all the bits of me being a professional amazing director and leave in all the bits of me being a silly boy
Hey am new!!
great first ep. so glad I got to see the pay-off to the Ron Weasley-story since I was there for the set-up :P
thank you buddy hope LA is good I'm cold right now and hate you a little bit actually fuck you
JackHoward that escalated quickly...
Love this idea.
Hey Nathan.
Love you.
JackHoward I feel like my comment is in the way of your guy's love.
You and doddleoddle are the only TH-camrs I see on vids beside their own
JackHoward baeee
This was absolutely brilliant
What an honour, thank you.
This PMS eased my real PMS, something only Nutella has thus far managed to achieve. Congrats Howard.
I don't know how this comment hasn't got more liked omg 😂😂😂
I've had to stop watching half way through because I'm in the library and there is a high risk I might burst out laughing at the Rupert-Grint-in-Dan's-bedroom fiasco
imagine watching this video and skipping all the funny bits. That's what I'm having to do right now
so basically just not watching the video then 😉
msmoodlexxx teawiththreesugars BOOM THERE'S THE JOKE
Well you just changed the vlogging game.
Brilliant
Aya Elomrani Whoa. Thanks!
Seriously! It looked amazing and the 15 minutes flew by!
That was 15 minuets! Wow it didn't feel like that at all. AMAZING :)
This was the best PMS experience I have ever experienced.
IKR?!?! hahaha
Oh man, it's so weird and brilliant to see this from a different person's perspective. Really great pal, looking forward to the next 11.
He only made three that bugga!
I fully expect you to blow birthday candles out like that from now on.
Also yeah this is lovely, well done
Although I loved watching this, I can't help but feel this pang of jealousy for how well made and chronicled your memories will be. JackHoward Keep that mantra. I know its hard in the TH-cam sphere with stupid numbers and such, but this one thing is for you, we're just lucky that you're sharing it :).
JackHoward I picked up on that and I actually started crying... this is beautiful Jack, I loved this video so much :)
So much more effort went into the Rupert Grint thing than I was aware of and I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse.
I don't usually comment in TH-cam videos, I actually don't comment at all, but I just fell like Jack's content deserves a comment.
So amazing, thank you for the few incredible minutes that you give us.
From São Paulo, Brazil
Thank you São Paulo. I appreciate you doing that for me.
From Jack Howard, England.
JackHoward Pretty sure Sao Paulo is the name of the city they live in haha
He knows that
Felix Parsonson Haha I know, Jack's sarcasm is beautiful
The most pretentious thing had to be the little transition slides constantly reminding us that we were watching PMS. Bravo, Mr Howard.
Magnificent as always Jack.
You really hiJACK'd this genre, didn't you.
...I'll leave now...
HOWard do you feel about yourself after making that pun?
jk this is so much worse. i'll put on my JACKet and let myself out
ginaheartscupcakes Felt a bit like a jacksie...
+ginaheartscupcakes HOWard dare you do that
yeah i know it stinks
which one's you?
The ending was so so great
Also wow did that girl rhyme "jack look" with "scrapbook" at 10:20? what a brilliant wordsmith
yeah she seems like a superb human being
i agree
cassie, was...was that your jingle?
yes cassie, yes it was, thank you for noticing
***** ha! It was pretty good. Cassie will you tell Cassie I said it was good
That was wonderfully put together.
Jack watches Jack oh my
Hey Jack, thank you for using our song for your intro.
What a lovely surprise that was to hear!
-K&O
sweet baby JESUS ON RYE this was phenomenal
Jack Howard, making girls look forward to PMS like never before.
Nothing like starting off a PMS with Sammy yelling at me. I love it.
I was worried this was gonna feel long and dragged out but I could genuinely watch something like this for hours on end, very cool indeed
i felt my heart getting warm and giggled like i'm a family member remembering little jack and charlotte, don't know what else to say, i felt cozy
I miss this so much :( they're so good
I feel like even if Jack only posted videos (not necessarily only this series, but any kind) once a month I would watch them more often than videos from TH-camrs who post weekly. I think this is the first time I've heard Ciaran say anything much longer than "iya"
Only jack could create such nostalgia with a month of his life. Feeling the need to give everyone a hug right about now...
I'm sooo excited for this series! Thanks ***** for passing the torch to Jack!
Now I'm feeling nostalgic for memories that don't even belong to me.
You are so talented, Mr. Jack Howard. I can't wait to see where it takes you :)
Phrase I never thought I'd say, I love PMS. I'm so excited for the film!
Just watched this for the 5th time... still super impressed by the editing and I still laugh really hard too :)
Jack Howard, one of the greatest things to have happened to TH-cam.
Ciaran weirdly looks like the 3 year old I babysit but with stubble. That is all.
This is such an amazing idea. Love it!
-A,x
2:53 Londons quite.... big _anyone got that?_
YESSSSS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What are you talking about? You do talk some shit in interviews.
What do you do on your days off? Lol I didn't catch it at first.
Stomps to my bed and hides under the covers.
I love everything about this comment and the replys. Everything.
I was smiling throughout this. Then you mentioned being lonely and brought on what sounded like the UP theme tune and I went all sad.... :(
Can't wait to see your future. Possibilities are endless.
this was brilliant but Charlotte's birthday made me almost tear up
This was by far the best video I've ever seen of my life.
I just noticed this is like PMS-ception for me.. Damnit Jack we have synchronized..
Shit, now I feel like I have to make memories and save them some where. I want to compete with that level oft pretentiousness. Damn you Jack Howard.
This was so good. The Rupert Grint made me laugh too loud at work, just brilliant. The little songs by people were also so good and the last one especially with the clay you and the camera, yes. Great first episode, Jack.
i just realised that you've never done a collab with dan howell. that would be such a good video :)
Him and dean did with dan and phil a while ago
georgia eve that was a sketch. i mean a vlog or something :)
ah okay :)
+Blue Kicks Why does everything about British TH-cam have to be about danisnotonfire lmao
Leslie Crafton it doesnt. i just think their personalities would work well together on screen
I love this so much, can't wait for more!
You remind me of my geography teacher
Jeez. I never, ever comment on vids, but this was fantastic, and I just wanted you to know that it had an impact on a shy TH-cam viewer. Am I going insane or is that Ron Howard at the dinner table?!
***** That is Ron Howard at the dinner table. Check my twitter or instagram for a better photo of us together @JackHoward :)
That was brilliant. The cinematic feel, the editing, the personal and wonderful way you catch the daily vlogging aspect, all of it was beautiful. Well done!! I look forward to more JackPMS :P
you were actually more pretentious in 1996 than 2015...
and of course the video was brilliant (also I took your advice and watched Whiplash and it was bloody brilliant)
Jack, this entire video was really beautiful but the back and forth between 1995 and 2015 for your sister's birthday was really incredible. I may or may not have shed a tear. The amount of effort you put into your work truly shows :)
That anamorphic lens is stunning. Great video Jack, looking forward to next month!
This is going to be so amazing for you to look back on. :) I know I used to keep journals for years (from when I was 7 to 18) but when I was 19, I decided to I didn't want to remember all of my past and I threw them all out. just when you think you're gonna laugh until you cry, you cry because jack was a sweet big brother and made you having feelings... good job
That one little text to Bertie is going to be so amzing. I just feel it in my bones. Jack great content.
x
This felt like the most natural flowing vlog. Jack my man, you've done a fantastic job.
It's been a year and I still think about how magnificent this video is. The ending was beautiful.
I'd spend 15 minutes watching this every day to be honest. Love it. Now stop being so wonderful.
I love Dan's entire reaction to Rupert so so much lol
RIP Jack's Amazing Beard 2015-2015
12:43 and onward affected me and I can't really put into words how, but I like it. Nostalgia is probably my favorite feeling.

The pacing and the division into sections truly felt like the digital media equivalent of flipping through a scrapbook. Job well done.
It becomes even more pretentious with the multiple opening screens throughout the video, I love it.
I can't tell you how grateful I am that you're creating these. I can only say that it's beautiful, and you're giving a great gift to yourself, by preserving your memories like this.
This made me feel happy and warm. This isn't even my life, but seeing a month out of yours makes me feel nostalgic. This is really nice. I love life.
Didn't realize that other people's experiences could make you feel so warm and happy till this video!
I LOVE the way this has been arranged and edited, like literally watching little scraps of things you did in january. I didn't understand the concept at first, but i'm glad it's not just a vlog. But of course i did not expect *just* a vlog from Jack Howard. So pretentious, jeez.

The "bumps" bit at the end properly made me tear up. I don't even really know why. Great video Jack!
i did tear up towards the end and i barely know u or ur sister. love this new segment, jack.
the piano music at the 11th minute was so beautiful!
I LOVE this. It really is the perfect amount of funny, fuzzy nostalgia, and pretentiousness! All without feeling too over the top, ya know? Like it doesn't feel super try-hard, it feels genuine. I'm very excited to see more of PMS and how it develops throughout the year!
"Pretentious" in that cheeky smirk, "ohh this fucking guy" way. Not in that side eye, "oh this fucking guy" way. Loved it! Can't wait for more!!
I got so emotional, it felt like watching a short film and I loved it. Will always wait for this monthly gift.
Well, this is the first video I saw of you and I already subscribed. It's wonderful and imagine the thought when you watch these scrapbooks next year or even in ten years, it's just an amazing way to save memories and I envy you a little bit for that. Jack, I love the way you edit your videos but this PMS series especially is a step up a (if that's even possible) in your editing skills. I look forward to February :)
Jack blowing out the candle was one of the funniest things ive ever seen
"Blow the candles out for Charlotte, Jack" or just spit on the cake......that works too ❤️ so adorable nothing's changed x
Genuinely think this is one of the best things you've made. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I laughed. I got sad. I got nostalgic. It had everything.
1 episode in and this may be my new favourite series on youtube, the weird "I'm so excited for pms" tweets were worth it bc this is amazing! Well done Jack
You are so incredibly talented. Well done. This was beautiful to watch.
I thoroughly enjoyed that and the weird thing is that I'm feeling like empathetically nostalgic. I was not emotionally ready for this. Cried at the end. Well done jack.
I know lots of effort go into youtube videos, but the quality of jack's videos just seems so superior, and they feel so sincere. This video just warmed my heart, especially his last comments, and I just thought I'd put the effort in for once to comment and say I really enjoyed this video and I cant wait for the next PMS

That was really something else!!! also that last part was especially beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these :+)
Jack this was the perfect mix of charming, endearing, and sarcasm....fantastic job!
Charlotte's birthday bit was so beautiful! So excited for months to come!
Okay so that ending with the birthday got me crying. Thanks.
I am really loving the layout of this video it's such good quality and very professional well done
this was so beautiful, beautifully shot, beautifully edited.
Simply put, i'm very glad that you've taken on PMS.
I really want to thank you, Jack, for sharing all those memories!! :D
Really liked the more creative style of editing, rather than just a standard vlog. Can't wait for the next one!
this has been the best 15 minutes of the year so far.
Jack that was so sweet showing us clips of you guys as kids celebrating 👍 happy birthday to Charlotte!
