There is NOTHING shite or whatever about this lovely little film. It has been chosen by the film federation of India, since it is a rooted Indian film, small, meaningful, funny, charming . It is different from All we Imagine -- which is sort of Europeanized view of urban India presented to the world by a group of producers who are mostly European, with one Indian added to the group. I am not dismissing All we Imagine. But stop dismissing LL .
Whether it gets even shortlisted, forget nominated -- does not matter. LL team is doing what they are meant to do as India's official entry. It is a lovely little film that deserves to be watched whether it gets into the woke- intellegentsia list or not.

Read and understand why FFI chose LL and not AWIAL -- which is being viewed as a European film in India.
Aamir in case is not hung up on awards. But as producer , he isduty bound to promote his production which has been selected. I have nothing against AWIAL, which I will watch when it streams. But simply because the Western Wokes have championed it, it does not become a greater film. LL made me laugh and feel hopefully about India's rural folk. It is a sweet positive fable.
