Hello and welcome to today’s video and what a video it is! We are doing so much in today's video, we are decluttering, we are doing some extreme cleaning! Lots of cleaning, days of speed cleaning motivation! We get into some in depth conversations, mostly pertaining to decluttering, you won't want to miss that! We also try and review some new, and may I just add, AMAZING new cleaning products/tools! And we decorate for Fall! This was by far the best Fall decorating I’ve ever done! I'm not the best decorator, I don't do trends, but I LOVE to decorate, esp. For the holidays and seasons! I also forgot to mention that the DIY I did on the candle sticks are for decoration only LOL I won't be burning those. Lastly this video is SUPER chatty, there's a ton of motivation in this video (days of motivation LOL) but I also touch base on a lot of important topics and in-depth discussions, so its chatty and long (per usual) hope you enjoy it! I have to tell you something so neat. We just finished up the family size Oreo cookies. I was noticing how sturdy the three sections were that held the Oreos. So I got it out, washed it, dried it and put it in my makeup drawer. It fit all my eyeliners in one section, my lipsticks in the middle and all my makeup brushes on the end. It probably saved me $4 + at the Dollar tree. Who knew a Oreo container of cookies could be so useful in my makeup drawer. Now all my makeup is neatly contained, I'm thrilled 😄😄😄!!!
Also, I love your rants, repeat sentences, chaos and all. I mean that in thee most positive, kindest way possible. I am the same way. I'm extra, have a lot of chaotic, all over energy, I'm super impulsive too! So this speaks to me. Great job on this! I can't wait to start on my home.
Perfect comment “I do Danni’s decorating”- that is what decorating one’s home is about- your tastes and esthetics, not influencers or marketing trends everywhere. My late mother was an avid seasonal decorator, especially Christmas and Easter, but all 4 seasons (I was born and raised in Maine) had decor in every room and it drove me nuts when I was a teen. In my own home, I only had a Christmas tree, I still held childish rebellion regarding my mom’s style and decor. Now, I have introduced small seasonal vignette’s in the living room and changing out the lightweight blue throw blankets for some plaids and brown ones, and kitchen and exterior front door, for fall it’s a few pillows and florals and a decorative pumpkin for two in my living room, the kitchen will get a change of towels and oven mitts, and switch out my wooden napkin holder for a copper one and a fall wreath on my back door and my front door will also get a wreath , a harvest welcome sign and door mat with fall leaves on it. Christmas is an entire different story, that’s where I now manifest my mother 😅. One of the main reasons for my minimal decor is I am too lazy to move things while dusting and cleaning, it annoys me, it’s not about money anymore though the first decade of our marriage, money was a huge consideration in seasonal decorating, we didn’t have it and it wasn’t even a blip on my radar back then. I moved in to my husband’s place 3 years ago when we just got married, oct 2020 and today, almost 3 years later i decluttered at least 80% of our total stuff. I combined mine and his stuff and we didnt need duplicates and things that do not fit to where we are living now. So my situation is the opposite lol but who knows, once we get our permanent home things might accumulate naturally until i go nuts and declutter again 😂
I love love *love* the way you respect the belongings of those around you, and the fact you don't sell your kids on your channel, seriously, I have so much respect for you and your process!
I swear my mother did me psychological damage by throwing out my belongings without asking, and it has given me attachment issues with my belongings my whole life.
Re: the basement, sprinkle the floor with bicarb soda mixed with an essential oil you like, leave it overnight then sweep it up then vacuum, it should help with the moisture factor..

Have you thought of putting privacy film that sticks on windows for your daughters room. That was you just cut to size stick on and it’s removable but private with no damage to door. I put that in my garage and my kitchen. I love it and it comes in different styles. Enjoy the day.

What a pretty view out your 4 seasons room. Such a difference where I live in Texas. Our neighborhood is brown, we are so hot and dry. We just received notice this week no outside watering. Fall decorating at 107, not! I will enjoy your view and decorating 🤗

How to GYST recently made a good point about Maybe boxes (Time Will Tell bins) that they were a bad idea for her because it had a similar effect on her that toy rotation has on children. After not seeing these possessions for a period of time, it was like finding treasure and she wanted to keep it all. I've never tried that strategy so I don't know but it makes perfect sense.

When we visited China, I loved their typical bathrooms (not the squatty potties so much 😂). They are entirely tiled and made to be a “wet bath” so one may spray them down if desired. It makes so much sense to me compared to our standard American style bathrooms.
Hi Danni! Thank you for the video, again. I'm here in the middle of the packing for the upcoming move and I'm soooo stressed and overwhelmed... The moving will happen next Wednesday and after all the decluttering, how is this even possible that there is this HUUUUUGE amount of stuff in the cabinets and it just doesn't end... you ARE a wonderful decorator! the table looks magical and my favorite is the home pillow covered by the round pumpkin so it looks like it says “hoo” like an owl! 🦉 not a fan of the FALL sign because to me that word sounds like a command instead of a season 🍂

Also, I watch some car detailing videos and sometimes they use a clay bar to remove things from the paint that normal washing won’t remove. I wonder if something like that would work on your tub, as well?

"For crying out loud" did you know that in Europe, they actually have a drain on the floor in the bathroom, and you CAN hose down everything? I don't know why here in the states they don't have that. I think antibacterial and antimicrobial is two different things, not that I'm an expert, but during Covid-19 a lot of experts explained a lot about virus and such, but I don'tknow if I remember it correctly, but I think the one you got is anti everything, and antibacterial is just against bacteria. I have been looking for one scrubber like that for my tub too. I love the pumpkin you decorated ladt year.

I don't blame you LOL that's warm 🥵 I have this itch to decorate early, I also needed a distraction from my house literally falling apart 🤣 My kids weren't super thrilled with me decorating for fall, they said it reminded them of school time lol I usually don't decorate until the beginning of September at the very earliest the last week of August. It just seems more fall, I sometimes have to be in the seasonal mood to decorate per season. That Autumn wreath candle is a great candle, I was not upset when I realized that that was the one that I got. Thank you so much for watching and being here with me 🥰

Antimicrobial (pronounced like anti micro bee al) is the larger umbrella that houses antibacterial under it. Think of antimicrobial as being just a step or two below sterile-it kills a lot of things that could make you sick, but making things sterile will remove everything that could make you sick. It's the difference between boiling a baby bottle to get it clean (sterile), running it through the dishwasher (antimicrobial), and just rinsing it out (antibacterial).

I think I enjoy those bits even more than your voiceover, because I could actually see you whilst you explained things, including just how much you really love your re-crafted pumpkin. Btw I really liked the new wreath and acorns you added to your fall decor this year, and I think your tablescape looked great. Also, I get why you got a little nostalgic over that fact that your daughter’s decluttering of her stuff meant she was really starting to grow-up. The first stages of childhood go by in the blink of an eye, don’t they! However, if you focus on this new stage of her life where your daughter will truly fully blossoms into her own self-identity and expression, then you’ll be comforted by the fact that this brings with it wonderful pleasures to behold and even more fun experiences to be enjoyed together. Finally, as well as burning sage to cleanse your home, why don’t you plant a pot full as well.

Don't know if anyone already answered, but antimicrobial is good against all microorganisms: like bacteria, viruses and fungi, while antibacterial only kills bacteria, does not kill viruses or fungi :)

Love bath and body works candles, they are super strong, but they are spendy, I only get them on sale, what's nice is bath & body works has quite a lot of sales, my absolute favorite is the bath & body works leaves candle it's on my coffee table. It’s literally 115 with heat index here in Texas (the feels like temp was still 107 at 9 pm HELP 🥵) and I decorated for fall today. Even my daughter was like “I ain’t mad at it,” LOL. If I build it, fall will come, right?? Beautiful decor!!

The decor looks lovely - very homely and warm. Your very talented Danni and you're right - less is more. On a completely different topic, have you ever considered turning the four season into a kitchen diner? It's such a large, airy space, already has cabinets and a sink and has a much better 'atmosphere' than your current kitchen which seems dark and claustrophobic in comparison. Your current kitchen could then be transformed into a laundry/utility room and you would never have to visit the basement again!
