I feel like this song can have a lot of different meanings for different people. For some, it's about losing a loved one to a disease or suicide, and for others, it's about being that loved one that is or was close to dying or committing suicide. Personally, I can relate to the later,- I was, and still partially am, going through a really hard time with depression, not being able to get out of my room or out of bed for days at a time, and staying up insanely late despite being so tired. Despite still going through stuff like this, I feel like I'm getting better, and I don't want my loved ones to have to worry about my mental state anymore. As cheesy as it sounds, things can and will get better, you just have to put in a bit of effort, even if it's hard. Anyway, I feel like that's one of the amazing things about music, everyone interprets the meaning differently.

My dog died from old age, when we put him to sleep he was on my lap laying down. When we 1st put the needle in it takes a second for the stuff to kick in, before it kicked in he was looking at me with his eyes watering.sad that’s the last thing we did together.

We were so happy, we were both at the hospital. I was way more sick than him, I always thought he was gonna make it and I wouldn't. I had a kidney problem and he had a heart problem. Turns out I left the hospital and am living a healthy life now, but without him. I still feel like he's with me, I wish I had never lost him. Everytime I listen to this song it makes me cry imagining that's what he was thinking about. I miss you Samuel.

I feel like this song can have a lot of different meanings for different people. For some, it's about losing a loved one to a disease or suicide, and for others, it's about being that loved one that is or was close to dying or committing suicide. Personally, I can relate to the later,- I was, and still partially am, going through a really hard time with depression, not being able to get out of my room or out of bed for days at a time, and staying up insanely late despite being so tired. Despite still going through stuff like this, I feel like I'm getting better, and I don't want my loved ones to have to worry about my mental state anymore. As cheesy as it sounds, things can and will get better, you just have to put in a bit of effort, even if it's hard. Anyway, I feel like that's one of the amazing things about music, everyone interprets the meaning differently.

My dad was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago, and was declared terminally ill today. Losing somebody is one of the toughest things in the world. I can’t imagine feeling happy again. If you know somebody that’s going through this, give them a hug for me, because they need it more than anybody else.
