    Super helpful ~ many thanks!
    Nerdy musician joke for you:
    B flat, D flat and F walk into a bar. The bartender says "We don't serve minors.” So D flat leaves, and B flat and F have an open fifth between them.

    Really useful tip to twist. My wrist had been suffering from the 'death grip' I was using previously. Thank you.

    Notes for myself: Can play with a full bar or a partial bar. 1. Rotate to bony part of finger. 2 Move up and down until you find your spot where no strings are escaping the bar in a valley in your fingers. 3. Curve the other fingers and only use tips to prevent muting. 4. High nut equals high strings and no slack in the first fret. Thanks for a great video! So few videos on technique! This is great!

    I have been struggling with Bb chord, one of my favorite song has fast switch from F to Bb and back to F and it´s been impossible for me. These recommendations really can make difference. Thank you so much!

    I learned it with my finger to low and I was really struggling until someone showed me to keep my finger high up AND moving my thumb more to the right. Nailing it since then :-)

    Thanks,Really good explanation and demonstration but I still couldn't do it.Using a partial bar with first finger my 3 third finger is too short.Using a first finger full bar was better but still muting first 2 strings even moving finger higher or lower.Also tried dropping my wrist as low as possible too help curl fingers which I don't think you mentioned.Maybe my wrist and fingers will stretch out eventually.

  • @chrisw5742
    @chrisw5742 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    You could hit that first string but it is the same note as the fourth. Skip the first string and use the last 3 strings. for E chord slide that up 6 frets so first finger is on the 7th fret. E minor remove second finger and bar the 3 strings

    • @chrisw5742
      @chrisw5742 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bar the 3 strings always. It makes it easier to quickly change to minor.

  • @destiny8967
    @destiny8967 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I still gotta press down super hard to make any sound even right behind the fret...i can go as far as making sound with all the string but the fourth string
