I can understand why newer armys who don't know BTS very well might feel like there is discrimination between rap and vocal line. Old armys already know this and new armies need to deep dive and understand this before voicing there concerns:
1. BTS was supposed to be a hip hop group so obviously the focus was rap. And even though it diverted to become a kpop group, and vocals also became a focus, still it wouldn't take away the focus on rap. So it's natural and nothing to be concerned about. It doesn't mean that rap is more important than vocals. And their diversity in rap and vocal based songs proves this.
2. Rap line is the musical pillars of the group. This is very obviously true. And we can see the proof of this from the song credits of the members. Most of the songs have been written by the rapline. Another thing to note is that while all the members are talented, rapline is the only one who had prior experience (mainly RM and Suga) in the music industry and knew the musical direction they wanted to go in. The vocal line actually did not even have singing experience when they had joined, forget knowing about song writing or musical direction. They were yet to discover their own voice. And actually expecting them to contribute the same as the rap line is stupid and unjustified. They already worked way too hard learning both singing and dancing from scratch (except for Jimin who knew dance but still he did have to work on hip hop since his background was mostly contemporary). You expect them to contribute in the songmaking process as well? I know we call them angels but they are humans only... not robots.
3. Some of the members have early solo projects while others don't. The last point also explains this one. The rapline was ready to release solo projects earlear because they were ready as they had already been heavily working on bts music for a few years. Vocal line didn't because they weren't ready. They were still learning. And they still are. Expecting them to release music on the same timeline as the rapline is like asking someone who knows how to write essays to write a whole novel and of the same quality as a novelist. And that's not logical.
4. Finally... saying that Bighit is not giving them equal solo work. You need to decide what you want. BTS to have artistic freedom and control over their work or equal projects. Either Bighit can hand them songs and ask them to just release work as the company says or they can be in charge of their own solo work in which case each member's solo work will be different, at different level, at different pace and have different musical direction. Also if you are expecting the vocal line to have as big(in terms of no. of songs and depth of songs) albums as the rap line, please don't. This is their first time working on solo project, so cut them some slack. It must be nerve wrecking and a lot of pressure as it is for them. The rap line already have experience in this but the vocal line doesn't.

Thanks! It helps a lot! So frm what I have heard they are incredible solo or as a group! I figure it is up to BTS. They can make or get another record company. I plan on listening to their music! Since I am new I barely got started with their previous music before I found out about everyone's solo albums. So I am in the very lucky position to have 10 years of music to catch up!
@@jacklynhartwell4026 Yes. Every single one of them is incredibly talented. So as a group and as soloists both they are very good. What makes them so good together is that each one of them brings something different to the table. So it's not like 1 or 2 main members and the other members are supporting theose 2. Each one of them is equally important. There is a saying among armys... "7-1=0". Also what makes them stand out is not just their talent but their personality as well. They are incredibly hardworking, humble despite being super famous, kind, care for each other, respect each other.
If you are just starting to get to know their music I suggest blood sweat and tears, tear, black swan, mikrokosmos, run bts, spring day, love myself: answer. And make sure to check the lyrics. They are half the beauty. Also there is a guide by Taylor Marie you can check out. It's really good though a bit long.

@@jacklynhartwell4026 Also they are currently focusing on their solo and enlisting foor their mandatory military service. Jin released a single "astronaut " and has enlisted, Jhope released an album "Jack in the box" and a single "on the street" and also has enlisted, RM and Suga also have released their respective albums "Indigo" and "D-Day". Jimin released his album "Face" very recently as well. Jungkook has released a single "Seven" and is about to release his album and V is yet to come.
Don’t worry too much their reputation is already well out there,no one can stop them now
BTS are huge stars all over the world nobody can destroy them army's they wait for them return from their service to their country so don't worry too much we love them 💜💜💜💜💜🇬🇷🇬🇷🌻

Yes, it is true this issue has been around since the beginning. The message suggests that Hybe’s philosophy is around team, however, now that the maknae have matured, the bias still exists. Now it is a double bias. Number 1 is JK. Hybe seeks to make JK their #1 super star. Then there is the members of the rap line. New Jeans is a focus. Bang PD is seen as an extraordinary businessman but I see a company with extraordinary bias. It seems to me that for Hybe to keep growing, each subsidiary should be focused on gaining the competitive edge. Having the entire company focused on Jungkook and New Jeans Demi is he’s the benefit of a Holding Company eg Hybe Labels. What am I missing?
Hybe is first and foremost a business .. and business needs strategy for longevity. BTS has entered its 10th year and even though the group is still very strong, all members have reached maturity and chapter 2 has entered the scene. As a business, Hybe must choose an artist(s) that has the most future bankability to put the highest focus and investment on so they get maximum sustainable returns. This is how any business works .. they usually have many products but there will be that star product(s) they will showcase more, and in this case, it does look like Jungkook and New Jeans are that for Hybe.
@@BlooBoop Don't tell that to V's "fans". The separatists will insist that V get all the best songs and lines etc. They should stop calling themselves Army. Real ARMY support all of the members as equally as possible. The one thing they dont do is put other members down. Jk isnt my bias but im voting for him and playing both versions of his song. Crazy and Vibe start my morning playlist. I play Jin's Astranaut, I dont like rap that much but i play Rm, J-Hope and Suga songs, and V's Christmas song rounds out my Daily playlist. Borahae
@@blueangelsfan4072 - good on you. I understand when V’s ‘fans’ get upset with Hybe for what they feel is mistreatment or unfairness towards him, but what hurts my head is when they start attacking Jungkook for being the ‘favoured’ one. You’re right, that’s not Army behaviour.
@@BlooBoop I do not believe Jungkook is the favored one. Has anyone else noticed that Jungkook is not as visible as he was before. The favored one is Jimin. They or at least Bang Si Hyuk want Jimin to be the most popular. They held V back for years and now it seems it is Jungkook.
Fans need to understand bts are grown man who can speak for themselves. When all 7 bts members renewed their contract they all hired their own personal legal teams to negotiate their individual contracts. All 7bts members have college degrees in business and music. They have creative freedom and control over their own solo.
All 7 bts members are shareholders in hybe and also have voting rights in the company.

Tae has made the same amount of money from representing companies in one year as he made in 9 years in BTS. BTS income financed the building HYBE is in.

You most be new because all 7 bts members have control over their own solo. They decided their own promotion. All 7 bts members hire their own personal lawyers to negotiate their contract. All 7 bts members are shareholders in hybe and have voting rights.

OMG!!! BTS members are all SMART, STRONG and IN CONTROL OF THEIR CAREERS. It's annoying and serves no purpose to say things like this. To begin with, fans are fans, they only see what BTS & Big Hit share, they don't see everything, they are not privy to everything, nor should they be. I think with BTS members doing solo project, solo stans are getting way out of control. BTS members doing their solo project, they decide the direction of their music, the promotions they want to do for their solo project, they decide from beginning to end everything about their solo project. BTS as a group, they decided within the group what they want to do with their music, concepts, lyrics, composing, again everything from beginning to end. I don't get trying to stir up trouble amongst the fans; if you know BTS and HYBE, you know they are in control, they are smart and strong and speak up for themselves. To try to always make HYBE/BIG HIT the bad guys, really??? BTS & Big Hit have been through enough, people. Solos that are trying to make trouble, you're not doing the members any favors, you're not protecting them, they can do that on their own and do. Solo stans, you're only serving a personal agenda, that's not BTS. If you as a person, has more than one kid, each kid will have different ways of doing things. No two kids/people will have or even want to do the same thing the same way. People who have more than one kid, will also have different relationships with each child because each child again is different, similarities but doing things their own way. People with more than one friend, will have different relationships with each friend. People, THINK! If you're going to yell favoritism all the time, that's so immature, are BTS yelling/talking favoritism, any of them? It's been very annoying seeing more and more posts about them not being treated right, going after GWR (Guinness World Records), because they didn't get something right, really? Use your time, energy, words and actions on something that will actually help them, make real changes, like working together to come up with ideas and resolutions in the industry, like the BBMS, Grammy's, radio play, something that actually will help them in their careers. ARMY, stay connected, stay strong, work together and support ALL of BTS members as a whole and individually in a good, productive, healthy way. BTS members do nothing but support each other, so we should.
