Good morning JP & Team. Thanks for your frontline update Jonathan although I have to say that on the Eastern front the situation is extremely worrying for the heroic Ukrainians. I’m hoping more military aid will continue to arrive speedily to the frontlines & reserves can be sent to areas most in need as some AFU troops must be near exhausted! Cheers all & Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 🇬🇧
This idea that the civilian population has a desired outcome that is different from the Russian military leadership's desired outcome needs to go viral and become widespread. It would be interesting to see what the people in Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod oblasts really want... ;-)
Thank you Jonathan ❤ Love to Team ATP ❤ Love to Ukraine 🇺🇦 ❤ 🫂 The situation in the East is terrible. I hear that reinforcements have been sent. I really hope there is a cogent plan for the troubling areas. I am certain there is method in the madness 😬
Just a heads up but the AFU has crossed in another Region! The AFU is actively crossing in the Belgorod Region! If you hadn't heard yet JP! It's pretty public...
Pontoons: They are not a commodity that can be obtained at a big box store. If Russia is losing them, and they are moving them in quickly, that implies that they have plenty and are readily available.
general tip for folks when trying to discern truth in an information vacuum, or an asymmetric information environment... one needs to focus less on value statements and more on details. I'd suggest that when reading Russian reports, any form of priming as to the result of engagements should be discarded as a value statement. thus, pertaining to reports of fighting in Belgorod Oblast, I'd ignore the "repulsed" or "met" portion of the report and simply focus on the detail that the AFU is at least feigning in an additional direction. a feint makes sense, in order to make supporting Kursk defensive positions more difficult. opening a new region of the front also makes sense, given the overall fairly low numbers of AFU forces in Kursk, the tactical and operational surprise attained there, and the value of taking Begorod offline in addition to Kursk. hard to guess what might happen, but if civilians start running, there is something more going on than the information environment suggests. either way, I'll be interested to see how this evolves within Russian held portions of the southern part of the Oblast. that will be the most telling aspect, not reports.
What shitty news on such a brilliant day here in my region. I hope and pray Ukraine has a plan B for Pokrovsk 😶🌫.. GER mil blogger T. Heinrich reported that UA soldiers complain on TG abt the bad perfomance of their own troops in that region and that these troops consist of not so well trained soldiers as UA delayed drafting for so long 😞... sigh ... Anyway, thanks for the update ATP Team.
By continuing west to the outskirts of Pokrovsk, the highway will be cut or brought under fire control in due course. Perhaps even more important (i'm not sure because i have yet to see anyone talk about it in detail) is that the only railways to the southern Donetsk area are running south from Pokrovsk, and those will be threatened very soon. We're about to head into September and this could bring a culmination for both sides by shortening days and worsening weather. Russia has essentially been engaging in offensive operations non-stop since Avdiivka in October 2023. Conventional thinking would say there has to be a culmination at some point surely?
more land in kursk and now into belgorod the russians cant seem to defend their own country , its looking very good there for the ukranians ,seems like russia has a manpower shortage
Hey Jonathan. So, I just might be spending a little too much time with you, mate. You see, last night I had a dream about you - not one of “those” dreams, mind you, but a dream nonetheless - and it was weird. 😅 In the dream, you were you, but you were also a smart black woman at the same time; some sort of professor or intellectual type. And you were speaking at a stand somewhere, underneath one of those pavilion/tent thingies, and unfortunately the roof of the thing caught fire from some hot lights. But fear not, I was there and knew about a fire extinguisher nearby, and I managed to put the flames out. So, I’ve got you, broh/sis! 👍😄 Now I’m off to the sanitarium to see some nice folks in white coat, and I might be a while, I think… 😏 🦔🦔💙💛🦔🦔
What do you think about the argument that Russia doesn't gain any real advantages by gaining ground in the dunbos? I wonder if Ukraine has decided taking Russian land is better PR than losing Ukrainian land slower
when are they gonna take it back , because at the minute they dont like they can . ukraine are removing a thousand russians a day from the battlefield ,
How many shells have the various WEST programs delivered. If there is long range guns 25 miles west of Prokovsk lobbing an ample quantity of shells and MLRS then the current pull back may not be that big a deal. Kherson needs minimal ammo Central Donbas needs a bunch. I am sure UK logistics officers are working the rat lines and getting stuff to the right spot. Every time Russia advances they have to move up a bunch of stuff. Which is vulnerable when moving!
My goodness how do you do it JP?!?🙏🇺🇦👍👏💪
Good Afternoon Jonathan JR and the ATP team

And PR matters. Since the Ukrainians took parts of Russia I am no longer hearing that Ukraine can't win this war
KorenEvo!!!
Ruskies aren't worried in Kursk they know they'll take it back. Too bad they can't force the orcs back in Ukraine.
when are they gonna take it back , because at the minute they dont like they can . ukraine are removing a thousand russians a day from the battlefield ,

Ukraine making tiny gains in horse paddock and capturing tree and now losing them too
Why do you hate Ukrainians and support an evil regime?
