A VISIT TO OUR BROTHERS IN AKURE, ADO AKURE OR ẸDO N' ẸKUẸ

After the British occupation of Benin in 1897, they started to balkanise our empire thereby separating our people from us and introducing them amongst alien peoples. Many over a century have been fully absolved into these alien cultures while only a very few have managed to retain the Ẹdo cultural heritage irrespective of the fact that that has also been greatly influenced. One of those very few are the ADO AKURE or the Ẹdo people of Akure whom we know and call ẸDO N' ẸKUẸ. We have decided to begin reuniting with our people and this has led us to pay the first visit to ẸDO N' ẸKUẸ on the 19th of January 2025
