I agree. Genuinely don't get why people is being pissy on their behalf. It's just friends having a bit of a goof with each other.
I feel like it would have been better if he vamped a bit before leaving, he left so quickly and quietly I think lots of people missed it (inc. Gavin). If he wanted to stay he would have, he was clearly happy to go and start his weekend and didn't want someone saying he should stick around.
I feel the same way towards the bit. However, the constant "Fuck you-fuck you" is not easy to take sometimes, even as a joke from a friend. I genuinely felt bad for Geoff in this episode and hope he wasn't putting himself down.
@@Eclipse0317 I understand what you mean but watch the recent sloppy joes bingo VOD. It's just how their interaction online usually always goes. I'm not saying you should agree with it, but I don't think people should react the way they should when Geoff himself seemed to not mind at all.
But yes, when you are with a friend the constant "Fuck you-Fuck you" is not a nice thing to say or have in a friendship.
And honestly, I think they view their interaction online with each other A LOT with how Howard Stern does it, which is whom both of them are influenced by too. But it's just my two cents.
Edit : As an additive, Geoff has said in his Podcast "So.. Alright" that he really wants the old company to just stay in the spare bedroom. So I think his sense of humor between him and friends has always stayed that way. In ANMA, Geoff and Gus had told stories of how much of an asshole they are with each other as best friends. So, I think Geoff doesn't feel too badly about what's happening in this stream. So, just have fun watching them. If something went way out of line then call them out, but I don't think what's happening here is one of those instances at all, I think Eric is just pulling a bluff on Geoff, and Geoff just pulled a fast one on him. I'd like to think that Eric hates it even more because Geoff doesn't get to suffer through it but he does. 😂
These chained togethers etc have replaced the time I used to watch the lets play channel and I'm so grateful you guys are having fun and bothering to record it
Geoff's whole bit in this video and a lot of other ones is to intentionally piss people off. If there were genuine hurt feelings when Eric snapped at him, I would be shocked.
I enjoy Eric but I also just feel like a LOT of people are here for the Geoff, Gav, and Andrew interaction (Sorry boys I skipped the LP's where its just nick and andrew or something like that). When Geoff left I just tuned out, I just don't necessarily care to listen to Eric rant on and his demeanor, especially after seeing some of his choices in Pico Park. Just gonna look for some highlights in this vid at like 1.5x

@@csys690 For me, it doesnt matter that he has more of a social role, honestly, the gameplays with all 5 of them are probably my favorites. I know Geoff leaving was a bit, but it still felt a bit off with a producer "pushing" a founder out like that. Pico parks were great but I just wish he didn't get in his pouty attitutde of "im gonna stop playing and sit here for a minute and a half." It may also just be a bit, if so it's one that doesnt resonate with me. To each their own if it does with you.

Geoff was being intentionally annoying to get under their skin (funny), then said "well if you want me to leave, i'll leave," and Eric called him on his bluff (funny), then Geoff called him on *his* bluff and left (funny). You wanna talk about pouty attitudes, that's incredibly a Geoff thing. Not to mention that they're BOTH founders of the new company, not a founder and a "producer". You don't have to like Eric, but it's ridiculous how many people are "defending" Geoff like they're not both full grown adult entertainers.
Hilarious that they didn't learn how to use the easy mode checkpoint. They just have to hit escape and spawn to highest point or whatever and then they are put back close to wherever they fell

I'm just 5 minutes into the video and I'm already laughing at him dunking on Nick and Andrew for their controllers not working, and then his own A button not working immediately after.
This was a really good one. Eric did a great job wrangling everyone and calling out the insane moments. Andrew did awesome once he got into the rhythm with the counting off. Gavin took a bit to adjust to being on the end of the chain but he did great later on. Nick doin good as always. Geoff had some fun commentary, enjoyed his bits

I know this vod is getting older now, but you guys need to take a breath. Geoff and eric are fine, this is how they are. Thats why their main show was called f*ckface. Pretending like you know whats in their heads, speaking on their behalf and creating drama out of jokes is a huge part of what led to the downfall of RT. The community manufactures drama because they have a parasocial relationship with these people. Remember, these are entertainers and friends, they know each other better than you know them, they have thick skin and they can recognize a bit. It's not that deep. None of it is that deep. It's a fucking comedy channel, guys, stop pretending like these people are your age-old friends and need your protection, they dont even know who you are.

I've enjoyed him for years, but that's always been a huge thing. He can be very spiteful and nasty sounding for no good reason sometimes, especially towards friends or fans, who you're meant to get along with. In fairness, Michael was the same in AH for ages, he just needs to chill out a little it's not really that entertaining to hear someone often fly off the handle and act like everyone else is wrong all the time.
Eric has steadily become more indignant and bossy during these videos and it's kinda insufferable. Repeatedly yelling "shut the fuck up" at the guy not playing because he's engaging with chat doesn't make for good content.
I think Michael always had a really good balance where as Eric seems to have an ego and as you guys say will be nasty when losing his point or control on a situation

Did nobody in chat tell them that they can teleport back to their highest point after falling? That's the point of playing on beginner mode. Checkpoints are just for saving/loading between sessions.
They did but then Goeff was like "that misses the point of us doing this!" And I don't think the information was ever actually deseminated to the rest of the group. So we're still in hell
well that's exactly it, they're not using beginner mode for beginner mode itselft, its for saving and loading between sessions. i assume that's why they didnt want to do beginner mode at the first place because they thought its a checkpoint for every safe ground (which is what the teleport to the highest ground is basically is), when its actually just at the middle point of each level.
I think he misunderstood it as they can teleport back to the highest they've *ever* gone, judging by how he said he wanted this to be a new run with this specific group.
You can teleport to the highest point from the current session. Each time you restart, that point resets and you need to load a checkpoint.

Seeing all the comments re: Geoff. It must be reiterated that their whole plan with doing gaming videos again would be that it would be very relaxed, to avoid the burnout that Let’s Plays could cause, for example, if two people playing and if someone is free then they’ll join, but is also open to leave too.
