    Did you know a oil manufacturer can call a lubricant a Full Synthetic when it's only 25% synthetic? AMSOIL is different because it is 100% Synthetic and has a higher film strength keeping the metal parts separated. AMSOIL allows less friction, less heat, less wear on the component. AMSOIL Signature Series motor oil will last 25,000 miles on 1 oil change!

    Wow, you spent months and $ reaching out to forums and other Mercedes mechanics to find the reason it wouldn't work, finally you found someone who knew what they were doing! Incredible and love the video thanks for sharing Eben

    Major Props to Jesus for spending the time going through the wires and finding the issue. Most techs would pass this off to someone else or give up. He deserves major appreciation for finding this!

      I love it if you want your car to run better than the day was brand new I highly recommend checking out this playlist on everything I've done to my car since the day I bought it you will be so happy with your car afterwards when I got my car in Road like a Ram 3500 pickup truck it had run flat tires that were bad 500 treadwear 19 inch wheels I went to an 18-in wheel toyo Praxis Sport tire super soft 240 tredware it rides about 35% smoother I also did all the fluids and it shifts about 30% quicker and it makes about 11% more power to the wheels it also averages about three and a half average miles a gallon better truly a transformation and quite the process to do but when you not your way at it one step at a time it's pretty achievable in a few weeks you could easily get it all done.
      My car went from driving like a 7 out of 10 and now drives like a 9 out of 10.

    I use a dedicated circuit tester to find a broken wire as it's faster than measuring for continuity but still that was the proper repair and the proper job done. 👍🇨🇦

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I mean I think those wires have quite a bit of stress on them I think ideally both wires should have been replaced with a better wire bundle however it would have taken more time and each wire from Mercedes would have probably costed a ton of money so I'm happy with what I got done but I think if you really wanted to bulletproof it you would go with the new wires on both sides👍

    So crazy how Mercedes cut corners on cheap wiring. Everything ever needed so far on my SL I've done myself
    Just last week I fixed my wheel tilt mechanism.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think the wire bundle was twisted too tight basically the outside wires strangled the inside wires and cut right through if there would have been more play in Slack I think it wouldn't have worn out as quick

    Hi! Thank you for your SL experience sharing. I think I have the same problem. Where should I go to fix it? Electrician or car Mechanic? Also, How much did it cost you to fix the wiring, if you do not mind asking. Thanks.

      Great questions I would get a mobile mechanic that does electrical and have him fix it as far as cost it was very inexpensive.

      Wouldn't surprise me a bit

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  ปีที่แล้ว

      If they would have reprogrammed the rear Sam and bought a new one at factory retail along with the harnesses and the tech charge for install I bet it could have touched $11,000

    • @toinfinitiandbeyond9209
      @toinfinitiandbeyond9209 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Syntheticoilprotection wow....omg....that's why people are scared to own a German car unless you find a good mechanic like yours.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh yeah it's amazing what the dealer can do if they want to they can basically make it so expensive that you just have to trade it in.....
      And that's why most people drive a very inexpensive car and low quality but they always buy a new one because they're afraid to not have a warranty.

    Mercedes needs to do something better about the quality of their electrical.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In the plastic parts that break in the coolant area really rough. This car all of a sudden just had tons of little plastic parts that broke and it looks like Mercedes is now making them metal to rubber hose instead of metal to plastic back to metal I'm sure they're having a lot of breakdowns.
      I would assume it's all about making money on parts in the parts department for Mercedes and labor.
      The horrible part is all those parts will keep you stranded if the coolant line breaks where the wiring in the trunk will not get you stranded so definitely a big difference.
      Now I know why most people say don't keep your Mercedes till it's 10 years old get rid of it before then because of all the little plastic parts that break tons and tons and tons of little parts

    Wow, both sides have multiple broken wires? Seems like a poor design

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct what happened was the bundle was twisted tightly as it opened and closed it squeezed the wires together and the chafing cut right through them the wire bundle was not designed correctly.
      Most likely a first year problem they probably corrected it later because they made that car from 2013 to I believe 2021

    Dam German cars poor engineering who runs wires near hinges and on a trunk that open and closes.
