Plane spotting at Newquay airport on Thursday 19/7/18

- While I was on holiday in Cornwall for a week, I visited Newquay airport for two reasons, one for a bit spotting to see what I could get second to visit the Cornwall aviation heritage museum. The airport was surprisingly busy. There was some great diversity in the movements. There was Military aircraft training, light aircraft training there were private aircraft coming and going. There was a lot of royal navy aircraft presumably because of the close proximity to the ocean and RNAS Culdrose. All I a very interesting airport to visit. it's also peaceful and the scenery around the airport is lovely, so it makes it pleasant one to visit. The spotting location is brilliant. it gives a view from the sort of above and to the side of the airfield. You can see the entire runway from here.
The reason for me choosing Newquay was that it was the closest airport to us. It also had more aircraft at it I wanted to capture and of course the Museum. I arrived at 10:10am to 14:20pm. This all the information you need about the aircraft featured in this video:
1. Departing at 10:16 on a training flight was an RAF Grob Tutor.
2. Arriving at 10:20 while doing circuit training was a Robin3000/140
3. passing through while presumably heading for RNAS Culdrose was a Royal Navy Merlin.
4. Departing at 10:22 presumably on a training sortie was Royal Navy AS365N.
5. arriving in at 10:25 after another circuit is a Robin3000/140 for a missed approach.
5. Arriving in at 10:27 is an RAF Grob Tutor after a training flight.
6. Arriving in at 10:37 presumably for fuel stop from Bournemouth was Cobham Falcon 20.
7. Departing at 10:41 on a training flight was a Robin3000/140.
8. Departing at 10:43 on a pleasure flight was piper pa-28-161.
9. departing at 10:46 on yet another training flight was Robin3000/140.
10. coming in 10:47 for a missed approach was a Royal Navy Avenger t.1.
11. coming again from a circuit was a Royal Navy Avenger t.1.
12. Departing at 10:59 on a training flight was RAF Grob Tutor.
13. scheduled to arrive at 11:10 from Birmingham was a Flybe Q400 actually arrival 11:25
14. Arriving at 11:45 from East Midlands was a Cessna Citation 525 CJ2+.
15. Scheduled to arrive at 10:45 from London Gatwick was a Flybe E-195 (Welcome to Yorkshire livery). Actual was late 11:57.
16: Departing at 11:58 back to Bournemouth Cobham Falcon 20.
17: Scheduled to depart at 11:35 back to Birmingham was Flybe Q400. Actual departure at 12:00.
18. Scheduled to arrive at 12:40 from Dublin was Aer Lingus regional ATR2. Actual arrival 12:39.
19. Scheduled to arrive at 12:30 from Manchester was a Flybe Q400 (Ex Brussels airlines livery). Actual arrival 12;46.
20. Scheduled to arrive at 12:55 from the Isle of Scilly was Skybus DHC-6-300 Twin Otter. Actual arrival 12:52.
21. Scheduled to depart at 12:05 to London Gatwick was Flybe E-195 (Welcome to Yorkshire livery). Actual departure 13:01.
22. departing on a pleasure flight was a piper pa-28-180.
23. Scheduled to depart at 12:55 back to Manchester was a Flybe Q400 (Ex Brussels livery). Actual departure 13:20.
24. Scheduled to depart at 13:10 back to Dublin was Aer Lingus ATR72. Actual departure 13:22.
25. Arriving at 13:47 after a circuit was Cessna 152.
26. Scheduled to depart 13:50 back down to the Isle of Scilly was Skybus DHC-6-300 Twin Otter. Actual departure 13:53.
27. Departing back home at 13:54 was Piper pa-28R.
28. Departing at 14:11 on training rescue mission was Coastguard S-92.
29: Scheduled to depart at 16:15 to Manchester is Flybe Q400 (Ex Brussels airlines livery ).Actual departure 16:32. Filmed while on then beech before heading back to our place of stay.
Well, that's what I could get. I enjoyed my visit to Newquay airport. I met a very nice chap down there. His name was Ben you can probably hear him and me in the background now and again.
