- This piece was inspired by the birth of my first daughter, & as of recent, the passing of my father.
If I hadn't gone to dark places in life and explored as much as possible the extremities of music, then I could never have understood the true essence of life & the importance sound has + it’s connectivity to us all.
I’ve learnt after all these years training, performing and experimenting that this was essential in order for me to finally understand, appreciate, and truly bring to life the simplest of melodies to orchestrating the most complex of soundscapes - it feels like an awakening.. an awakening within us & the world we live in - it’s a unique & very powerful time to be alive - as an artist, my job is to help us get through these times.
