That first Muskie was a Battle Royale. Fighting the trolling motor. Fighting the transducer. Nearly losing the net multiple times. Epic. Question: When a fish tears up your expensive lure like that, do you glue it? Melt it? Just leave it how it is?
It definitely was not happy with me! It’s normal for them to get bit up in the mid body. If it doesn’t affect the swim of the bait I don’t glue or melt it. If the tail gets bit and is hanging off usually heat works well to melt it back together. Really depends on where the damage is and how bad. Thanks for watching! Man tap!
Wow, great day! You should capture & save that early morning background sky, in a photo that look so cool. Was out there last Friday. So damn windy I thought I was going to lose my trolling motor off the front. Literally the plywood on the front was flexing so much with the motor bouncing. Had to move closer to shore between Velgers & Gino's. Seen about 3 or 4 out there trolling for Muskies. Couple of them did the ole' brush by my boat, thinking, "I was catching Perch, there might be some Muskies by me?" I fooled them, barely caught a handful of throwbacks, 8" max (lol). Damn, should have packed the Musky equipment on that day. Good luck with the opener (Always thought, the anticipation of Nov 15th felt like Christmas Day to me)
Right on. Great job. I’m still waiting for my first all season. Been frustrated, so I took a long break from it. But I’ll giver this weekend coming up. Cheers.
Thank buddy! It can definitely be difficult to grind through a slump. Once you break out of it is when the addiction really starts. Keep grinding it out brother!🤘🏼
@@TheOutdoorConquestI live 30 mins from Clinton river spillway going there in a few days thanks so much for the info! Last thing Im new to baitcasters any recommendation on one that’ll handle Muskie running 65lb braid under $150? Thanks in advance & tight lines brother! Keep up the great content
