Just what I've learned as a recovering alcoholic who's in AA but also researched on my own: alcohol addiction is not about self control at all. It's about being the one in twelve person who has the opiate response to alcohol. If it was seriously one bit about self control, there would be no alcoholics or programs. I'm not dissing the video, I think it's fun and informative. I just feel like outside the meeting rooms, the general public really doesn't know much about the nature of addiction.
Pisces moon here. That was spot on. I usually tend to space out a lot when I'm bored and my imagination just runs wild. A small bottle of wine also helps me to deal with bullshit sometimes. I limit this to twice a month though.
Scorpio moon here-The control thing is on point :)As I can't stand when someone messes with my work,it drives me nuts.I sometimes crave for pain and will punish myself in different ways to feel it.(nothing crazy, just like fasting for a few days or going on a long road march just because...)I also sometimes isolate myself from new friends I make(usually online friends) so I can feel the heartbreak of loosing them. This may all sounds really weird to most but living in darkness is like that. The best way to describe it...it is like tempering your mind.
I identified with Moon in Aries, but that was me in my younger years, action, working out. I found the moon in Sagittarius interesting, re liking change and experiencing new things. After knowing two moon in sag males, who are both players, that made sense.
I see moon in Capricorn people less addicted to work and...more addicted to having and keeping control. Taurus moon can be quite addicted to everything pleasurable in a mundane way, scorpio moon and sex addiction can be a thing, cancer moons and the need to please people, Pisces ..everything that takes you to a different realm
I think focusing on the destructive aspects of addictions is more important, and using the Natal chart to head those off is what we should focus on. If you look at Charlie Sheen (Moon in Sag), Chris Farley (Moon in Pisces), John Belushi (Moon in Sag) and Stevie Ray Vaughn (Moon in Sag), you'll notice that Farley, Belushi and Vaughn all have the Moon trine Neptune or Pluto. Sheen has his Moon trine Mercury which may account for why he hasn't succumbed to his addictions yet. Interesting that Belushi had Moon trine Pluto, sextile Neptune, sextile Mars and square Saturn. Thanks for sharing your insights tho - I found your talk interesting.
I have my natal moon in Cancer (along with my Sun, Venus and South Node), and I agree with all of this. Also, Neptune transiting through my 5th house in Pisces made really into spirituality, esoteric stuff, and obsessed with the notion of romance. I'm a Scoprio rising with Pluto in the 1st house.
My moon is in Capricorn 6th house. I think it's more than just the moon sign: house placement and adverse aspects to the moon play a part in addiction. As well as other planets' aspects and house placement. I have mars conjunct Neptune in Scorpio in the 5th house. Each square my Aquarian sun in the 8th house. Escapism to the max! I'm an artist so that's helpful. However, I get addicted to almost anything. I've had bouts with drugs and alcoholism, video games, music, as well as, food addictions...rockstar energy drinks, aloe vera juice, caramel m&ms, iced tea, combo snacks and right now it's white twix. Gotta have it every morning, if not, then my moods are seriously off kilter. I go from one addiction to another.
Hello Rux, as a moon in Pisces I don’t day dream too much. I’m spiritual Pisces love to meditate, love spiritual Astrology, tarot, everything lol. Interesting. Most of all I love listening to my music. Love it! Have a great day Rux. Love your videos.
I associate the moon, pluto and south node with addiction. All are about the deepest currents of the psyche..where we need to feel held, supported, and nurtured. and where we need our deepest needs met. these 'shadowy ' areas can point to deep karmic triggers which are often the most upsetting, immediate, and subterranean disturbances. If there is fear and uncertainty in these areas, then we resort to addictions to seemingly restore balance and safety. ...Also theres a clear connection between the 12th house, pisces, and self undoing...wanting to return to source and experience oneness by dissolving the self
wow this coorilates SO well with what I learned yesterday on youtube about the nodes where it signifies where you were in your past life and where you should head towards in this life. what made that click, wasthe issue and challenge my leo moon has to deal with the need for a center of attention, that was my last life and for this life I should challenge myself and go the opposite way which would be aquarius and that's where my node is to aim for the direction in this life. I'm sorry this is worded SOOOO poorly it's just a deep thought blowing my mind and it's hard to be more articulate about it but it's a huge "ah ha!" moment
I'm also a moon in Gemini and I can relate to your comment. For the beginning part of my life let's say from my 20's up until my early 30s I watched TV with the captions on. (I no longer watch tv) I did not like noise, I'm still the same at 40. But I also believe that in your natal birth chart it may explain why.
I consider addiction (alcohol or drugs) to be difdicult aspects to Neptune. I have seen this consistently in peoples charts. I feel Neptune is our blindspot wheere we have rose colored glasses. Pluto is obsessions. The moon is our emotional needs where we need emotional security - so in a sense this could be addictive especially if difficult aspects are present.
Interesting topic. I’m a moon in Aries but weirdly I identify more with moon in Capricorn unhealthy patterns. I just have Capricorn in the “less important” placements like Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. I’ll dig into this addiction subject. Thanks for sharing what you know.
Pisces moon & totally spot on. I definitely relied on substances to escape in my early 20s & am now getting deeper into spirituality... Hopefully I can keep my feet on planet Earth at least occasionally 😅😅
Addicted to being comfortable, 6th House ♉️ 🌙, ♎️ 🌞 , Mars, and Venus. ♎️ rules my 12th house. My Neptune is in the 2nd house. 😝 so yep. I love food, I love smelling nice, I love to cuddle on the couch with a movie or book, I am addicted to social media. 🙊 I’m a sloth, but I enjoy taking my time and I’m too stubborn to be rushed. Shopping gives my financial anxiety but I always feel good when I get home with my stuff.
Taurus moon. When I’m off, you’ll find me in a bubble bath, snack/drink nearby, music playing, incense burning. Am currently struggling with an addiction to my fancy espresso maker. 🤣
Moon in Virgo: can't say I'm addicted to my health nor hypocondriac (but I do need to watch my weight and be on diets often, having Jupiter in 1st). However, I am addicted to "to do" lists and being efficient.... Will not go to the grocery without making my list (same order as in the store) but also, will make sure I run all errands I need to do that are close or on my way to the grocery store.... I think I never leave home just to go get 1 single thing, that wouldn't be very efficient no.
Moon in Aries - Spot on, I have to DO something. I like and do competitive sports. even sitting in my office my mind is planning "which Martial arts should I train next?, how do take time off work and fight in Thailand. like you said my energy needs to go somewhere.
Great subject, I can attest to your interpretation of moon in Taurus. I have a mutual reception between moon in Taurus and Venus/ascendant in Cancer. I’m totally addicted to peacefully chewing my cud. Lol
I’m so glad you brought this topic up I texted an astrologer not too long ago that’s about my personal situation was wondering if there’s anyway in my chart she could tell If I Would be able to completely walk away from addictions and she told me that there was no way my chart to tell her about that when I believe it could
Hey Sara! The chart itself cannot tell what you are able to do, that is a matter of your own free will. What the chart can tell is where you can find strength to deal with challenges in your life, addictions included. Hope that sheds some light!
My moon is in the 10th house in Capricorn with Saturn in fall in Aries. My Pluto is conjunct Uranus in the 6th house in Virgo. Even with Aries rising and Mars in Scorpio (square Moon & Jupiter in Cancer), Neptune seems to be the best situated. Neptune is in the 8th, or 7th, in Scorpio trining Saturn and Jupiter. I can be a worker bee at times but I think my debilitated Saturn makes me dislike authority
I forgot - what about the abundance/excess of Jupiter? The illusion & addiction of Neptune, obsessiveness of Pluto, excess/over-indulgence of Jupiter and the subconscious/need/habits/security of the Moon. Ouch! That's a lot.
I have Alfred Witte's trans-Neptunian invention, Cupido, Я in Scorpio 2nd, said to be indicative of vanity, addiction to pleasures, and being strongly influenced by groups of people. That said, I am ashamed to admit again that I have a Scorpio Moon. Perhaps I have a carnal addiction? Or perhaps addicted to everything in your Scorpio Moon video LOL That wouldn't be great. I noticed you laughed when you began speaking about Scorpio Moons. You definitely have an axe to grind. I'm seeing it clear now. At every opportunity you're going to twist the knife. I think my crisis acting skills are leaking. My bad! So my Neptune Я in Sagittarius was not the source of my earlier escapism/drug/alcohol addiction? I wonder if I now need to rewrite my chart interpretation, being accommodating of this new information you've presented. Scorp Moon doesn't currently mention my addiction to control or toxic emotions, which could be true. The moon doesn't aspect my Neptune placement, but I accept the moon can be indicative of habit patterns. Cool vid!
Girl you seem so nervous. If this is a topic you are interested in, even if you're not knowledgeable on every facet of it, just talk about it! You always bring a lot of great information :) **now that I've watched the whole thing I think it was very on point. I am also a moon in capricorn in the 7th house**
I have a moon in capricorn, but it seems I struggle more with Aquarius moon issues, because I tend to run away from things and obsess about freedom. But I'm 100% a Capricorn moon because the time the day I land on changes to Aquarius is at like... 8am and I was around midnight. Do you think there might be any influence if the moon changes sign on that day? Not like a cusp but maybe something else.
Oh another thing, do you think the 12th house has any influence to addiction? Like certain 12th house placements? Because I feel like that would also indicate where our addictions lie.
ok whoever wrote the cc for this video, at 16:46, she says "cancerians" not "ham Syrians" i mean seriously? that doesn't even make sense, I can't believe the person who got paid to write that didn't even attempt to understand what she said. ignoramus.

DemonRazor88 this sounds so much like me I am a Scorpio moon ..
I get it! It’s like testing your own limits. Seeing how far you can go. Testing your strength
I identified with Moon in Aries, but that was me in my younger years, action, working out.
I found the moon in Sagittarius interesting, re liking change and experiencing new things. After knowing two moon in sag males, who are both players, that made sense.
I honor your insight. I totally agree, we are all addicted to something.

I only listened from 10 mins where the specifics start, and that was one big hilarious ' I love you all ...BUT...'
Moon in Scorpio.. I feel like I won’t know who I am without the darkness lol. Its kinda easy to express through art or get ideas when I’m in chaos
Pisces with a cancer moon here.
Grudges can protect you! It can help you hold boundaries
Moon in gemini here and I am the opposite you said . I love being by myself in silence can't stamd tv sound nor people.
Kathryn Bustamante I’m very much like this now, though maybe not so much when I was younger.
Yes ...same for me

So basically your addiction is just what your sign is known for --just magnified.
May I ask what you’re doing with that crystal?
I’d like to see your chart! 💜💜
