I have the P5/S5 combo and I can say it is AWESOME! There is a readout on the amp face for temperature and I've not been able to push the amp hard enough to raise the temperature 1 degree. Absolutely love it!
Great infos. I had a chance to listen a pair of Michi monblocks with the P5 on a pair of 802 D3 and it sounded so great. Very detailed and balanced. I currently own a Hegel H590 with the 802D3 and thinking to upgrade to the Michi's. Thank you for this unboxing.
I would like to know where the fresh air comes in, I hope the ventilation slots aren't on the bottom of the amp, they would collect dust like a vacuum hoover
The rear off the amplifier looks like a fan, but this is an extruded aluminium heat sink. The fan is inside the amplifier, drawing air out. Because of the size of the heat sink, only a small amount of air movement is required and dust should not build up. (I guess it would after 20years , but should not be a real problem)
@@TLPCHC I've seen it in photos. The fan in in the other side of the vent. Nonetheless, I wouldn't recommend to put this on the floor, better in a high platform. The intake of fresh air is through the holes in the bottom of the chassis. They are a real bargain.
It handles only down to 4 ohm max.. And we all know all speakers are a dynamic loads even an 8ohm speaker goes down to 2ohm & 4ohm one will go below 2 sometimes... So for 14k it better should be perfect.

Thanks Jean
Very good video about unboxing Michi M8. Very beautiful devices. Congrats from France.
Hello from New Zealand

@@TLPCHC -- Thanks for clarifying! I was curious myself

It is stable well below 4ohms. Don't let written spec's get you confused.
Connect The Kappa 9's by infinity to see if this monoblock survives. :)
That wristwatch is extremely dangerous when moving these heavy objects
Yes. But in 20 years of running a HiFi store, I have not scratched anything.
60 kilograms says it all! And it is one channel amp only!!!
And you need two!
@@TLPCHC No less!
This guy needs to go to the gym!
It is 60kg!
