Amazing. I started watching this with a blue light filter on on my computer, and I couldn't understand why he was trying to separate colours that looked the same to me. Then I realised what the issue was and turned it off just around the time he came to the yellow glass room, then it immediately hit me that I'd actually just stumbled across the puzzles' mechanic.
My favorite puzzle biome. I’m a digital artist, so throughout the puzzle I was keenly aware of the way colors are perceived and their interactions. The puzzles were built so beautifully around this, with various challenges that kept even me on my toes. It felt like a lab where you yourself have to demonstrate physical concepts through interactive stuff like glass/artificial lights. An inexperienced person would begin to intuitively understand color mechanics without reading a single passage of theory. And that’s kinda… fascinating
The creator commented on the limitations for disabled people. It’s a bit sad that there was no way around including absolutely ALL levels of physical ability, but at the same time, I know it’s unrealistic to expect all people to finish the game 100% without hints. It would certainly take a genius for that to happen. So, in a way, games will inevitably inaccessible to some humans
Haha by the time I got to the elevator part and struggled through it I was thinking the same thing lol. Rip to the colorblind homies cause this might as well have been grayscaled for them with all the hope someone would have solving it.
I'd wager the reason why people were being so spoileriffic about the Quarry puzzles was because you were so into "ooh, new symbol!" mode that you completely forgot about the logic of the other elements of the puzzles, and ended up basically brute-forcing the symbol with faulty logic.
This is another section I completed without completely understanding the rules. I only realized it when I discovered the solution in the town with the colored door XD I think I got here relatively early in the game and I wasn't aware yet with environmental effects in the puzzles. I just went with similar shades may go together and i think I thought black can go with any color while white should be separated from any color.
The way to figure out which glass to look through is not that bad: it goes from the most obvious (huge yellow panes through which you first glance at the room) to slightly less obvious (small cyan door that moved out of the way) to even less obvious (looking through BOTH yellow and cyan combined)... Nice level design
oh nice. the last blue puzzle is the same puzzle as the elevator puzzle. so, you get to solve the elevator puzzle in a simpler context, before being aware of it, solving the same puzzle twice.
I was literally screaming at the screen: "Look through the yellow glass!", when you passed it after soling that previous puzzle for the second time. Anyway, that's good that you could solve it in this episode. But why are those episodes are so small? You started with two big ones in a day, and now it's only one small.

Today is actually also two videos. 90% of the time most of my shows get one video per day. When a series is doing really well I often try to do two but this just isn't always possible. I have to eat, sleep and go to work. At some point there just isn't enough time in the day to maintain the output. I was able to make two videos per day last unusually far into the work week this week because I spent a ton of time with the game last weekend, but I have my limits.

It's just sad that the farther you go, the less stuff is included into the episodes. Last one was only one puzzle, even if it was a hard one. Once I've "beaten" the game but am working on a bunch of optional stuff this will likely become even more true. In late parts of this series it might be several days before I get enough usable material to make even one video.
How long did it take you to figure out to look through the glass? I spent over an hour wondering around that place looking for a clue as how to solve the puzzle correctly. Did the same thing you did with the first puzzle and then got stumped on the second when the like shades wouldn't play nice.
The red boards you mentioned, were not a graphical glitch. If you look on the other side of the room, it is probably a reflection of the red light through the glass. Probably!? I could be wrong.. I just hope it is because this game is awesome :P
The light coming hitting the board and reflecting into your eyes is white when looking at it through the open door, so the board should be white, yet it appears red. You can see it clearly when he goes slowly through the door, it goes from red to white instantaneously. Also, welcome back to this video, after 7 years 😜

also you know just cus you are a head doesn't mean they will not explain backward from the ending ones to make sure to spoil it for you as happened to a youtuber i watched were the comment that spoiled the puzzles in the game was worded in such a way to seem to be talking about another game even thought it explained all the puzzle mechanics on every video and the one who made the comment have reversed the order you learn the mechanics so it would let him skip puzzles when he first found them (( yes it was for this game ))
I can’t, for the life of me, see any difference between the ‘tan’ and ‘yellow’ in there and I don’t have any issues with color blindness, it’s so weird.
then you're gonna have a lot of pain in this section. I'm colourblind and it's rather difficult to look at these puzzles. The game seems to expect you have no auditory or visual disability. It's still a really cool game though.
I may be a bit late on this discussion, but I think they ARE solvable to anyone with moderate colourblindness, by just looking through different filters or different coloured lights and memorizing which ones get darker or change significantly under different lights. The later puzzles on this area even require you to do it this way, so it is just a steeper learning curve. And even if you can't do it, this game is non linear and most puzzles are optional, so you can complete every other puzzle without going through those colour puzzles.
A couple years/months late to the conversation, but I'm pretty sure most devices have filters specifically for colourblind people that "correct" the screen so they can see the colours 🤷🏾♀️. Idk correct me if wrong

14:00 I __think__ that is RGB/CMYK thing, you have to separate RGB from each other, and CMYK from each other, but they can mix together freely?
