STORY/VOICEOVER TEXT: I could live a hundred lives and never forget the way I felt on that day -the joyous pounding of my heart in the crisp spring air when, at long last, we Gallowglass crested the southern hill and looked down upon this ancient valley for the first time in over two years. Gazing down at our homes and families, we raised swords, fists, and banners to the sky, bellowing, marking our victory for all our people to see.
Those below waved their arms and jumped with joy, many running to meet us and roaring back in celebration of our triumph. The air was thick with pride and a weary relief, feelings that seemed to hang about our shoulders in a dense and shimmering fog, a billowing curtain of shared exaltation that delivered us across the great valley and into the arms of our waiting loved ones.
Aye, we were hailed as heroes when, after nearly a year spent on secret orders deep behind enemy lines, our warriors returned home to this ancient valley. To the last man, each had marched with a bandaged wound or crippled limb. We had done what no other force had been able to, striking a blow at our enemies' core that would destabilize their entire war strategy -a ham-stringing from behind just as our allies increased pressure from the west.
We had hit them at the center of their power, and we had crippled their command. We had shown them our power, and, most importantly, we had shown them their fear. I accepted that mission because I thought such a blow would be worth the price, and I thought that price would be paid up-front. I see more clearly now.
We had not realized what lengths our campaign might drive our enemy to. We had cut out their legs, but desperation drove our enemy to crawl after us, fearing future raids behind their lines. We never expected that they might abandon their fortified position on the east river, sacrificing over a third of their number to withdraw their army to a new staging position in these very mountains. They came with their torches, wild-eyed, looking to burn us out at the root.
Now we face the combined might of the enemy forces right here at the southern gap, any hope of reinforcement easily a month or more away. Even now, I can hear the clatter of shields and the thump of boots on the horizon. They are coming, and if they get through, all evidence and memory of who we were will be washed away in a tide of spears. As is my duty and birthright, I take up the horn. Like my father before me, I issue the warrior's call!
Highlanders! Stand together with me at the gap and shoulder to shoulder we will spit into the eye of our enemy! For light! For life! And for Honor!

I had retired from this game and Highlander specifically.....but this....This has reawakened my purpose. I gotta keep up with all of these Highlander Gods... And rediscover my crown.

The most satisfying thing to watch is a Highlander in offensive mode dashing back and forth with enemy attacks failing to hit him. I laugh everytime I see one and Fiend is by far the best one to watch when it happens!!

I switched the jorm thinking highlander was unplayable, and let the claymore to rest at its spot. After watching this, I’ve been thinking back on when I played highlander as much as I used to. He was the one character I wanted to pick up to rep 70 and was the first character I mastered enough to hit GM. You have to leave offensive stance to parry. A lot of the HLs in this video use a variety of techniques to exit offensive stance faster than default. Check out my guides if you're curious.

Hold the heavy button after a light parry and you'll flow to offensive stance for the heavy right after. Try practicing with a bot.
just need to experiment a little. give it some time and you'll get it down in no time

From offensiv stance is the heavy attack a parry on timing? Or need to go out of stance? I cant cancel that fast.🤔
You have to leave offensive stance to parry. A lot of the HLs in this video use a variety of techniques to exit offensive stance faster than default. Check out my guides if you're curious.
