That shot of him smiling & lighting a cigarette in the dark is so ominous (it’s the first glimpse of his inner ‘Joker’ re-emerging). The movie teases his return as Joker throughout, making the sudden left-turn in the third act even more devastating.
I love the way this entire sequence looks and sounds. The way the last part is shot when the guards shut the cell door and you can still see Arthur through the window. The lights turning off showing only the silhouette of him and the lighter illuminating his face, It is SO well shot. All of this being set to a more dramatic and ominous mix of That’s Life and It’s All Theater is the cherry on top.
Joaquin really gave us the most joker we’ve gotten in media in years…. Say all the fantasy sequences were real…. And that’s your joker from the comics and cartoons
I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for this particular sound mix because when I saw the film for the three times that I did, I was absolutely captivated by it! That tone change was CRAZY! Is it on Spotify anywhere? I also love how this scene progresses ughh it’s beautiful!
@@maddiefr5437 it is not. This mix was built from scratch, fixing it a bit from the original but keeping it 1:1. I’ll probably upload it on soundcloud in the future. Its a shame it wasn’t included in the official OST.
The first 30 minutes of the movie it was good, but then comes to the trial scene and it was horrible. Actually I did like when Joker VS Gary & The Joker Is Me Musical Scene.
It was pretty good. I thought it started to be mediocre when Harley set a fire during a film that the Arkham prisoners were watching. It really fell short afterwards.
This movie could've been bigger than the first one but got wasted. But by no means it's terrible. It's kinda bad but not terrible at all. They explored Arthur's aftermath quite well.
Yeah, they could've made Arthur grab one of the guards guns and shoot them in the bathroom scene. Then made a prison riot where every prisoner is killing the guards or doing other things, but you know what the creators did instead?

Facts
even as the song slowly transitions into his joker theme, its just perfect
This movie had the potential to be just as generational as the first one😔
That 3rd Act ruined everything... 😓
Remember the intro "Me and my Shadow"?
Now look at this:
01:25: Arthur Fleck
01:34: The Shadow
Is cinematography! 🚬🎬
Goated observation 📈

Best cinematography nomination right now!!!
I love the song That's Life and the version Lady Gaga sang in the trailer. I love Joker 2, it's so underrated ❤😢❤
Did we see the same moive🤔

Beautiful song indeed
Love your reproduction of the mix !
The switch at 0:30 is so much better than it is in the film, where it’s so jarring and unclean
that's exactly what I was thinking when I heard it. Felt like a rushed edit.
It's still MUCH BETTER than Morbius & Madame Web
that’s life.

you can say whatever you want about the movie, but even though it was horrible, the beggining in prison is beautiful

It wasn't horrible.
Its such a shame how the beautifull cinematography is there only to put a pretty wrapper over a terrible story, characters and plot of a present

@@gundhamtanaka9487 that shooting was a one trick pony thing, doesn't happen all the time

Waw this mash-up 1:08
1:17 my fav part
Is that supposed to be Arkham Asylum or Blackgate or is it just a random Gotham Prison?
@@Wanderersea later in the movie, joker refers to the guards in arkham, iirc
Arkham asylum
nice
This song might be interesting (1:33)
Really is a day in a life, huh
🧐🍷🚬
Esse filme era pra ser tão bom quanto o primeiro 😢 mas e uma merda completo
