Just a heads up, all 4 shifter balls have been claimed!! You can still order a Gnarly Speed Pack but it won't include a shifter ball. Thank you guys so much for your support! ❤

Getting emotional when one of your babies leaves is how you know you are a real car person. You are authentic and that’s why people are drawn to your channel.

Watching your car drive off on that trailer brought back a sad moment in my life when I sold my 1970 Ranchero 500 so I could buy my daughter a car for school. It was taken away on a trailer too. I know the feeling but am glad I did it for her. Thanks for sharing your video.

I've found thinking of selling and going through the process is emotional. I remember watching the guy loading up my Cadillac V16 onto a car carrier and seeing the door close to the car carrier. But not long after it was gone I hardly think of it anymore. New projects to take on and take our attention.
A lot of the nostalgia for old cars is simply boomers wishing they were young again. But people of our generation truely just love these cars for their look, design and simplicity. The mourning is because its hard to find that same car again. And of course the memories we make with them as well.

I hope you're happy beautiful young lady, you almost made this 72 year old man cry when you got emotional about getting rid of the 56 , I wish I was there to give you a hug. But just be happy you have smart man like Danny for support and to guide you. Lots of love from pa ❤❤ maybe with a little luck and prayer the man that bought it will see this video and see your emotions and fix this 56 up and present to you as a gift, what a great video that would make ❤❤❤

Liv. I also get attached to cars. Bigtime. I have had my '56 Buick Special for 39 years. I was 32 years old when I was first gifted my '56 Buick. I am now 71 years old and I still own and drive it. My wife gave to me as a Christmas present the year after we were married. I also have a 1965 Buick Skylark sedan a friend gave me back in 2010. I have now had it for 14 years. So believe me I understand exactly why you feel the way you do.

My first car was a 1956 Chevrolet (actually my Granddaddy gave it to my Dad for us kids to drive, but I glommed onto it as mine). My Granddaddy purchased this car from the original owner in 1962. The car was an original 1956 Chevrolet 150 two door sedan with the 235 and three speed transmission and the only option it had was it had a heater (Yes heaters were an option as well as any other luxury accessory back then, even an oil filter). He gave this car to my dad in 1968 as he was not driving it anymore because the engine was smoking pretty bad (the explanation is another show). Of course once we got it home and commenced working on it I learned a fair amount (and my dad was not going to have any of that hot rod mess done on that car) We repaired the engine with what was needed and of course put a new clutch in it. My dad did allow me to take the car apart to a point where it was stripped of all of the trim and bumpers and such. We took the original paint down to the bare body as it was in bad shape with the exception of the doors and front fenders. My dad repainted the car (he could rival any body shop in town with his painting skills). It was a good car and the body was original and minimal rust (it was a Georgia car). Why I am relating this to you? The reason is I myself have a soft spot for these tri-five Chevrolets and they are basically a good car, but the model years on these cars are approaching seventy years and there are not many that are in good original shape. If you are really bent on having one then try to find one that is original and unmolested (and try to find the body style that interests you the most). Stay away from this cobbled up hot rod junk (think with your head and not your heart). Of course these cars can turn into money pits and trying to bring one up to the levels that you see in car shows are prime examples. There are of course many, many aftermarket parts available for these cars and try to find one that is original and unmolested to base your build on and keep it simple as a driver. Now that you have gotten your feet wet it is an advantage to have some experience of what to look for. You already bought this car from the first time you saw a picture of it, but going and looking at it and knowing what to look for and adding up the cost of bringing it up to par should have told you to pass on this car, buy with your head and not your heart. It is a common pitfall for people buying these cars. And remember this' if you do not know the seller and you have no history on the car, you can wind up with a piece of junk that is just got you in way over your head. Other than that I hope you find a good one.🥸👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I know stinky cheese was rough but that's what made it it had the perfect stance there was a guy down the street from my older that had a 56 show car and I loved that car he drove the car on the street it was a rust free car I haven't seen the car sense it was in the world of wheels car show around 1978 or 79 the guy passed away around 2004 and in 2005 we had that super bad hurricane here in louisiana and all of the area I live in was under water for around a week. The guy who built the car his daughter had the car but I don't know if she sold it or still has it. I would like to find that car.

We all secretly get attached to our classic and vintage cars, that’s why we buy them. May I offer some words of wisdom from a qualified mechanic for nearly 40 years. Your white car had brake problems and you changed the master cylinder? Well this is a couple of tips, when I had a car with trouble bleeding brakes, this tip will 100% quickly give you brake and save you wasting loads of brake fluid threw constantly opening and closing the bleed nipples on the wheel cylinders are brake callipers. So there is a special tool you can buy called an easy bleed of your car go to a vets or place where they sell farm animal medicines. What you need is the biggest hypodermic syringe you can find, cost, $2, attach a piece of rubber tube to the syringe, such up clean brake fluid into the syringe, invert the syringe and carefully push out the excess air and connect to the furthest away rear brake bleed nipple and undo the nipple. Make sure that the brake master cylinder reservoir is empty of old brake fluid. Then empty the entire syringe of brake fluid through the rear brake cylinder and if the syringe is big enough you should see fresh brake fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir. It is imported that you don’t press the brake pedal until you have done all four brake cylinder and callipers. You may have to suck out some of the brake fluid out of the brake master cylinder so it doesn’t overflow over your paint work as brake fluid will damage your paint on your car. Another thing is is you want to check if you have any brakes working on your car, do this, black the wheels so you can release the handbrake so the car will roll. Once you have stopped the wheels from rolling, jack up the car, one of you sits in the car to operate the foot brake. With one wheel off the ground, rotate the wheel and get your assistant to slowly push the brake pedal, you should feel the brakes come on and lock the wheel. You then know that you have brake fluid getting to the wheel cylinder and operating the brakes on that wheel, do this on all four wheels to assess which brakes aren’t working, hope this helps from Gary in the UK
