Yeah. Concerning this I can recommend SMOOREZ. On his channel he tests these kind of devices (cheap, but legit phones or clones like the one in this video)
I dont think I will ever buy an iphone, but I must say, the internals look very nice. So orderly, no wasted space or anything.
They actually put in a headphone jack. That's courage.
Yes, send the seller this video to see his reaction because I wanna know what he would say. 👀😶
I'm curious as well. My guess is the seller doesn't know the full story of the device but I could be wrong.
Likely wont give a single crap since he got the money
Chineese are afraid to loose their face. Thetefore they reject any weong doing. It’s time we sink china!

Soooo what happened to the apple self-repair video? I just finished the video and it was taken down?
When you realize the iPhone 13 is also made in China
Yes but they go through strict check in each hardware department and the process is precise. These bootleg 1 are like something came out someone back garage playing around with after school equipment.😂
Foxconn uses the cheapest parts,,,it cost Apple $20 to manufacture a device and then Rob it's customers
@@edster8416 oh. That explains a lot.

1+8 gb would’ve even been low end in the Android 5 days. And a 480p screen? My Motorola Triumph had one of those back in 2011, and that was a mid ranger!
In fact my Nokia 701 running with Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 (based on Symbian^3) back from 2012 is better than this.
heck my kindle from 2014 is better
My old iPad from 2016 was way better than that and my old iPhone 4s from 2014
Thank, this was revealing. I myself was shocked not only by the number of Samsung s23, 22,21 clones, but also the sheer variety of "Porsche Design" Huawei phones. What an industry!
The prices are incredible... Under $100 Canadian.
Cheers 🍻
Hugh, if you do factory hard reset, then clone phone usually will show its true specs.
Did you try loading files on to the phone to determine its memory capacity? And do you have an usb charge monitor to see what capacity the battery is? Would be nice for future videos.
Android studio can determine its true memory capacity, and theres programs on PCs that can do the battery capacity thing, ik he did the first but not the ladder
Ah yes, I'd fear the Android has been modified extensively to misreport those values...
@@Peter_A1466 android studio can bypass the values in the modified OS to get the true values because it tests every API version on the device when you open it, if one fails, and its the version just ahead of the one its on, it knows the real android version
since to my knowlege it tests for android 1, then 2, then 3, and so on, it would test for android 6 on this device in the video, it fails, and knows its android 5.
@@Lunaero accubattery can calculate the charge of the phone that comes, and it compares it to max battery capacity to determine health of it. I use it a lot, and I am on 95% after a year of use. He could use it to see how much it reported charging from 1% to 100%.
That type of motherboard was used in producing the Samsung S5 up until the s10 model replicas. I saw a lot of this on my repair bench.

the dude know EXACTLY whats up. I lived in Shenzhen for 7 years, just down the road from Hua qian bei electronics district. ive seen it all there.
One thing to consider when buying phone online is that, if it's too cheap to be true then it is probably a scam. No sane seller that would sell their stuff below MSRP, it is always close or higher....
Aliexpress never claims that this is a genuine apple product. And that's why aliexpress is much reputable website than wish and those other scammy websites
It's an obvious scam phone but I'll give them 1 star for combining parts from multiple old smartphones into one functional unit lol
I’ve been seeing this “iPhone” around. Shame people keep falling for this scam

@@hepotiricly The moment you advertize something but sell something entirely different, is where it becomes a scam.
Even if it cost 20 bucks, it still is a scam, because you are advertizing selling a legit phone.
Either way, people that fall for this forget the ´´ too good to be true ´´rule, but that does not make these kinda practices not a scam.
Furthermore, as several people stated, you can get way better for less nowadays.
So, again, definitely a scam.
You can desolder the battery connections and do a timed drain test to determine exactly what the battery capacity is. It's pretty simple.
Thanks, I'd buy one but for the camera. I am disappointed that you never tested the most important thing, the actual phone / call experience ☕️
That unused connector seems to be a debugging port, judging by the test points leading to it at least.
My god the bottom bezel on that is massive. My guess is it's an LCD
You don't have to guess, no way these knock off companies would spent huge amount of money to use OLED on their phone. Even their LCD is one of the worst and cheapest LCD

Always amazing how people order electronics online and get all surprised when they don't get what they ordered! Is iphones a banned or whatever item in any country that you need to order it?
I order everything online…there’s no risk at all as long as you use common sense. I’ve made over 300 purchases on eBay and I’ve only been scammed once; I got my money back in just a few days.
I don't think most chinese companies are worried about legal trouble of this sort. They 'added' a headphone jack because the board came with it. The only thing the OEM contributes is the case (not the protective case, the case the phone's board and display are enclosed in.
You should talk to TH-camr SMOOREZ he’s testing these welcome phones and can tell you more about them. As well as how to spoof the ram and storage.

id say 3000 , by the look at the size , my 3300 battery is even slimmer than that and cost only 5$
Its legitly a brand of "Welcome" phones, they are masters of crappy knockoffs and only ever use MediaTek CPUs, that boot animation is there logo, you bought a clone of a clone of a clone. etc etc etc...
and here is a question that tortures me for a long time: was there actually at least one clone device with somewhat decent hardware, like at least 3gb ram and 64bit cpu? I also met ADs with kinda qualcomm iphone clones, but i'm quite confident that these are also that 1+8 mtk bricks.

The most amusing thing is that few days ago for similar money I bought used green LG Velvet 5G in mint condition. Its an excellent bountiful phone - why the hell someone opt for fake phone from China instead?
My main problem with such devices is not even the specs or the copyright infringement but rather the fact that there is no way I can trust this phone my data. I would be heavily surprised if this phone doesn't come with some kind of malware preinstalled on the device.
It is full of malwares..
If they want to keep selling these, they will have to sweeten the pot with a $19.99 Rolex watch.
Recently a family member got one of these "welcome" branded phones, and even though they know it's a fake, they wanna use it for whatsapp only. I'm aware of the security risks a phone like this may have and i'm even considering switching the ROM. What would ya'll do in my situation?

Hi Hugh, great video… I was just wondering what the program you used at 4:10 is called?

Can you please tell me what was the software you were using for checking the Android version and API level ?
At least it has an audio jack, :) .
Oh well, at least you got free covid with the phone.
You forgot one important test: Does it make phone calls? It would also be interesting to know what model phone it's actually transmitting to your cellphone carrier. I would be 100% surprised once you logon to your cellphone carrier it will say you've got an iPhone. Anyway, nobody but the extreme braindead will think they can get a new iPhone for $100.
It's so sad to know that I've worked with one particular person that fell for this and said "Yeah, I got it for a really low price" after that and seeing the notes app, I knew that she fell for it...
It would be interesting to get a log of the outgoing network traffic. I wouldn't be surprised if these cheap phones are just nextgen spyware.
You can bet the farm these are personal information collectors for those dumb enough to use them.
USB C and a headphone jack? This is already an upgrade from the $1k iPhone.
I get the feeling that the inevitable house fire that you may or may not burn to death in that’s caused by charging it will ever so slightly offset or negate the advantage of USB-C and the advantage/disadvantage of the now totally obsolete technology that is a 3.5mm headphone jack

But curiosity bites the mind. I've been intriged by bootlegs and even if i'll get really bad ones, I could always turn them into something different.
The irony here is that you're misrepresenting the phone by calling it an "iPhone 13 from China", while the knockoff manufacturer does not associate it with Apple or an iPhone at all.
The "325878" battery does not exists, but i found one with "356080" marking, and it has 2000mAh. I think this is that battery, because china guys can just change battery model on it.

I had similar issue with a watch that I bought on eBay. It was a Gucci diver and sold as genuine at full price. However when I opened it up, I found it had a cheap Epson mechanism. I had to file a claim through PayPal to get my money back and the worse part was that although I left negative feedback on eBay describing the issue, eBay deleted the feedback knowing full well that this was a scam!
