@@sidselalbertsen898 There's a significant price difference between Chanel ($200) and brands you mentioned like ($50-100) Prada and CK where I live, so I was a bit baffled especially since she mentioned the Chanel first. Once she introduced the other brands, that was when the title made a bit more sense. However, I was still expecting price points like that of The Body Shop Black Musk ($25) and Yves Rocher Ambre Nuit ($30), both of which are actually affordable but still just as classy. :)

People are allowed to feel their feelings. Obviously if so many people were offended, what she meant, didn't come off the right way. I was one of the people who didn't like the video because it did come off very highfalutin. Most of us in the real world are stuck with having to only having access to cheap perfume. She also says she watches luxury videos and was trying to replicate that. Obviously the majority of us don't watch what we will never have. It's her channel and she can do what she wants but her subs don't have to stick around if they don't like her content. Im not a hater at all. I really like and respect demi. I LOVE Valentino Donna Born in Roma AND Donna Aqua!! I LOVE Prada La Femme!!!! Maison Margiela's Lipstick on is a tricky one for me because at first sniff it smells very waxy like unscented chapstick, crayons or an empty crayon box lol and it takes forever to transition but BOY OH BOY when it dries down IT IS A STUNNING STUNNING SCENT!!!!
Your videos expose me to fragrances I would normally not know about and in many cases not afford. Thank you for opening my eyes to the possibilities. I love smelling like a million bucks. Keep up the good work.
I appreciate the effort you put into making these videos and getting the knowledge you have out to the general public. One tip however that I think would make your videos a bit better would be the audio. You may need to move the mic further away or lower the amplification. I've noticed audio clipping on most of your videos and it takes away from the great info you are putting out. Keep up the good work!
I like the fact that the criticisms inspired/pushed you on to make this great video. You continue to do what you feel will benefit your viewers and even those who criticise have their role to play. I missed the 'tacky' video am intrigued rushing to view now.
Coco Noir is my fave. I feel so confident when I wear it, it’s also my everyday sort of fragrance. I wear perfume whenever I feel like it, so sometimes I do wear it going for a walk or even picking up dog 💩
I used to wear CKIN2U in my early 20s; it was my every day fragrance. I think there’s a confusion here bc there’s no way it is similar to Santal Complet; not even a bit lol. This is a lemon/vanilla fragrance. Anyway, I do appreciate Twilly & Donna getting some love.

Dior Addict, Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc & EDT, Prada La Femme & L’Homme, Mon Guerlain, and Alien and there are so many more that I want to get. You started my fragrance journey and I’d like to thank you for it.
Because of this video i bought the ck into u and gosh it smells amazing and the price is very cheap! It is an addicting kind of perfectly blended sweet citrus. I also have Prada la Femme in this list and it smells classy and expensive too. Curious about the hanae mori one though😊
Love your list. Coz I have half of your list here and I totally agree. Balenciaga Florabotanica is like a gem to me because it's super good and super long lasting
Twilly is my favorite perfume! It just smells different, sometimes a bit mysterious and androgynous, yet still inviting and comforting. I personally don't know anyone that wears it (apart from the ones I have influenced too buy! 😂) or a similar perfume, so I actually find unique.
Wow! I have Twilly and everything you said about it...ON point, I agree 100%. I smelled it the first time by chance and I couldn't stop going back to the shop to smell it. SO after a while, I decided to purchase it and I love it every time I use it. I really like the vintage aspect of it. And nobody has never heard the name (which I prefer it stays like that hehe).
im not trying 2 bash but scent is subjective. so if your taste is more refined ofcourse it can be more expensive. designer perfumes arent bad but to me its just too mainstream or they are all like very similar. like the stereotype fruity floral sweet. but there some hidden gems
Totally agree! I only own 5 fragrances in total and the designers that I do own are designer exclusives because most designers just aren’t that unique to me, but there are some amazing gems like Mon Guerlain, Versace Crystal Noir edt, Miss Dior edp and Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme
I’m still in love with aromatics elixir by Clinique. That’s my Christmas fragrance. Love Chloe 💕 and hot couture by givenchy, it’s like sexy candy. But my all time never gonna change favorite is Anais Anais by cacharel. Still adore this fragrance💗💕
My only "problem" with your video, and it is coming from a place of protecting you, is that you shouldn't be making enemies with brands because you never know how who is going to buy who and it could be one of your favorites. You like what you like and that is perfectly fine. You do not need to justify anything to anyone,.

For me, it reminds me The Venice Carnival, e.g. something classy, vintage, elegant, majestic, mysterious, fairy tale-y. And I have N. Rodriguez Essence for 7 years? I got a sample. I never thought I could like powdery iris, but it is so creamy, sophisticated and elegantly mature ❤️🌹J'adore! Thank you Demi. I was a person that was disappointed in the other video. I would never be nasty or call you names. I did express disappointment tho. We obviously respect your opinion and I feel excluded when it's all about expensive perfumes. I'm a single mom and a lot of the times, all I can get is the super cheap ones. I feel like there is no point in watching something I will never afford.
Once The niche videos start on a TH-camrs feed I stop watching. Bc I can't afford the Over $100 perfumes either girl. I watch Demi though be cause I just love her!
Hey Nadine- my kids love my “least expensive” fragrance: Vanilla Fields!!! Try drug store scents and pair with some nice body washes and lotions!! All affordable! Proud you’re raising your kids on your own! What a Mom!!! Yay You
There are other channels that may be better suited for your budget. I don’t think she should change the content of her channel just because some folks feel excluded. That’s just me though.
There is absolutely no reason why you should get any hate for just voicing your opinions. I like hearing what you like or don't like and I understand that my opinion will sometimes differ from yours and that's okay. I hope you keep doing videos like this. I was playing around with my samples and I mixed GRIS CHARNEL with TISENDDU and my god!!! It smells like a sweet, boozy, creamy, gingery, warm spicy chai. It is absolutely decadent!
I have the Balenciaga Florabotanica and I agree with you that it smells classy and trendy. The smell is so unique that you can use it as a signature scent.
Really like that 3 of my favs are on here, Mon Guerlain, Valentino Donna and Coco Noir. My absolute fav frags are from Hermés (Jour d'hermes) and Guerlain (Idylle and La Petit Robe Noir)

I thought it was actually entertaining and funny to watch you roast those perfumes hahaha, people are butt hurt over nothing, why does a strangers opinion bother them so much.
It’s because not many people can afford the perfumes that she likes. So the fact that she’s calling some perfumes that people enjoy ‘tacky’ is insulting to some people.
It goes both ways. Her fans are watching a video where she calls their favorite perfume “tacky”. Of course they will be upset and say things that disagree with her opinion. Demi needs to understand that and move on. Did she honestly expect everyone to agree with her?
I personally find Botega Venetta, Donna, Kelly Caleche really nice and own 2 of them! BUT I don't agree that they always smell elegant and refined. It is all about the combination of style, make up, occaision and personality. I have seen so many women wearing such overpowering perfumes that don't match their presentation/job/style and actually this makes someone look tacky. Not Black Opium :D I have 12 perfumes at home and use them depending on so many things! It is very superficial to say a fragrance smells tacky or classy: it is like saying the color pink looks cheap. Every color can look expensive if it is well combined.
I never tried Ylang in Gold so I can’t speak on that, but my niece and I both used to love Hanae Mori and agree that it smells a lot like the dry down of Mont Blanc Signature as well. It’s a lovely fragrance. 🦋
Florabotanica is a beast! I use it to spray my fresh bedsheets as well because there’s something addictive about the scent in the air. I can still smell it 3 days later. Such a keeper!

I love your selections. I have purchased Florabotanica.. I loved it but the fragrance did not have any longevity. I have purchased Lipstick on and I love that one as well... a sophisticated sweet powdery floral? yes.. I know.. it was lovely. My daughter loved the bottle and the pink color so I gave it to her. I have always worn Prada Iris.. is it powdery fresh amazing and I get a million compliments. I have worn the Dior fragrances which are nice but I pretty much needed a change from my Chanel No 5 that I wore out. I have recently discovered Panheligan's . This summer I have gone through an entire bottle of Lancome Oud Bouquet and rotating the MFK fragrances Oud Satin Mood, Oud Silk Mood, Bacaraat Rouge, A La Rose, And Femme Pluriel - keep the recommendations coming!!

People are easily offended. I feel you on your opinion of those fragrances being tacky. Although I do like Fantasy and Pink Sugar but I don’t own them at this time. And I like Viva La Juicy, I purchased it for the first time in my life this summer. Sometimes I would want to wear these fragrances but I’m not going to wear them to a fancy dinner or to an event, more just to lounge around.
I had Bottega Veneta and I absolutely agree with your description. I would like to buy it again, but it is not affordable for me at all nowdays. And It isn't available in a country I live in now. But if someone has an opportunity... Should give it a go.

I have a little tip - go to Amouage. I haven't discovered all yet, but that is how they feel. The longevity is variable, some last forever, some evaporate within 2 hours... ( I tried Honour, Journey, Love Tuberose, Ashore - feminine ones, and 1 Dia man - as Demi wears it. And despite being the male fragrance that one, it is truly beautiful).
Been using Bottega Veneta and Flora Botanica for years! I recall peope asking me what I was wearing and when I'd tell them they didn't even know what I was talking about 🙃

I had a CK perfume form my dad when I was an ignorant teen and couldn't find it again after I had used it up and didn't, so I was on a youtube hunt to find it again and I'm pretty sure it's the CK in2u for her. I'm happy to find it, I want to buy it again.
I love Mon Guerlain. I have super pricey fragrances but every time I wear this, my husband comments on it. Beautiful. It’s like Coco Mademoiselle’s friend who wears a lot of pink. 😂

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and fragrance is such a subjective thing. Not to mention that the way a fragrance smells on your skin has a lot to do with body chemistry and our tastes change throughout our lives. I have Mon Guerlain Sensuellle and Hanae Mori EDT and they are both very nice and affordable. Do you prefer the Hanae Mori EDT or EDP? Prada La Femme is on my radar, I really want that one. ❤️

I have two perfumes from the other video in my collection, the way I see them and the reason I have them is different from Demi, I actually thought it was hilarious and did not think she was calling me or people who wear them tacky, she called the fragrance tacky, it's her opinion and she's entitled to it😁 I repeat, she called the fragrance tacky, not any of you, so taking it personally is just silly.

I like the fact that the criticisms inspired/pushed you on to make this great video. You continue to do what you feel will benefit your viewers and even those who criticise have their role to play. I missed the 'tacky' video am intrigued rushing to view now.
Coco Noir is my fave. I feel so confident when I wear it, it’s also my everyday sort of fragrance. I wear perfume whenever I feel like it, so sometimes I do wear it going for a walk or even picking up dog 💩
I used to wear CKIN2U in my early 20s; it was my every day fragrance. I think there’s a confusion here bc there’s no way it is similar to Santal Complet; not even a bit lol. This is a lemon/vanilla fragrance. Anyway, I do appreciate Twilly & Donna getting some love.

Dior Addict, Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc & EDT, Prada La Femme & L’Homme, Mon Guerlain, and Alien and there are so many more that I want to get. You started my fragrance journey and I’d like to thank you for it.
Because of this video i bought the ck into u and gosh it smells amazing and the price is very cheap! It is an addicting kind of perfectly blended sweet citrus. I also have Prada la Femme in this list and it smells classy and expensive too. Curious about the hanae mori one though😊

Twilly is my favorite perfume! It just smells different, sometimes a bit mysterious and androgynous, yet still inviting and comforting. I personally don't know anyone that wears it (apart from the ones I have influenced too buy! 😂) or a similar perfume, so I actually find unique.
Just got the ckin2u perfume from tjmaxx. Tested it on paper smells really good, can’t wait to try it on my skin!!! Good recommendation
Wow! I have Twilly and everything you said about it...ON point, I agree 100%. I smelled it the first time by chance and I couldn't stop going back to the shop to smell it. SO after a while, I decided to purchase it and I love it every time I use it. I really like the vintage aspect of it. And nobody has never heard the name (which I prefer it stays like that hehe).
im not trying 2 bash but scent is subjective. so if your taste is more refined ofcourse it can be more expensive. designer perfumes arent bad but to me its just too mainstream or they are all like very similar. like the stereotype fruity floral sweet. but there some hidden gems
Totally agree! I only own 5 fragrances in total and the designers that I do own are designer exclusives because most designers just aren’t that unique to me, but there are some amazing gems like Mon Guerlain, Versace Crystal Noir edt, Miss Dior edp and Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme
I’m still in love with aromatics elixir by Clinique. That’s my Christmas fragrance. Love Chloe 💕 and hot couture by givenchy, it’s like sexy candy. But my all time never gonna change favorite is Anais Anais by cacharel. Still adore this fragrance💗💕
My only "problem" with your video, and it is coming from a place of protecting you, is that you shouldn't be making enemies with brands because you never know how who is going to buy who and it could be one of your favorites. You like what you like and that is perfectly fine. You do not need to justify anything to anyone,.

Thank you Demi. I was a person that was disappointed in the other video. I would never be nasty or call you names. I did express disappointment tho. We obviously respect your opinion and I feel excluded when it's all about expensive perfumes. I'm a single mom and a lot of the times, all I can get is the super cheap ones. I feel like there is no point in watching something I will never afford.
Once The niche videos start on a TH-camrs feed I stop watching. Bc I can't afford the Over $100 perfumes either girl. I watch Demi though be cause I just love her!

There are other channels that may be better suited for your budget. I don’t think she should change the content of her channel just because some folks feel excluded. That’s just me though.
There is absolutely no reason why you should get any hate for just voicing your opinions. I like hearing what you like or don't like and I understand that my opinion will sometimes differ from yours and that's okay. I hope you keep doing videos like this. Carven is also a very underrated house, it's designer, they don't have a lot of fragrances but they're all amazing in humble my opinion.

I thought it was actually entertaining and funny to watch you roast those perfumes hahaha, people are butt hurt over nothing, why does a strangers opinion bother them so much.
It’s because not many people can afford the perfumes that she likes. So the fact that she’s calling some perfumes that people enjoy ‘tacky’ is insulting to some people.
It goes both ways. Her fans are watching a video where she calls their favorite perfume “tacky”. Of course they will be upset and say things that disagree with her opinion. Demi needs to understand that and move on. Did she honestly expect everyone to agree with her?

I personally find Botega Venetta, Donna, Kelly Caleche really nice and own 2 of them! BUT I don't agree that they always smell elegant and refined. It is all about the combination of style, make up, occaision and personality. I have seen so many women wearing such overpowering perfumes that don't match their presentation/job/style and actually this makes someone look tacky. Not Black Opium :D I have 12 perfumes at home and use them depending on so many things! It is very superficial to say a fragrance smells tacky or classy: it is like saying the color pink looks cheap. Every color can look expensive if it is well combined.
I never tried Ylang in Gold so I can’t speak on that, but my niece and I both used to love Hanae Mori and agree that it smells a lot like the dry down of Mont Blanc Signature as well. It’s a lovely fragrance. 🦋
Florabotanica is a beast! I use it to spray my fresh bedsheets as well because there’s something addictive about the scent in the air. I can still smell it 3 days later. Such a keeper!

CKin2U was my college perfume, I’m 35 now and still buys a bottle. Rarely use it now but spray it sometimes just to get a whiff :)
I love your selections. I have purchased Florabotanica.. I loved it but the fragrance did not have any longevity. I have purchased Lipstick on and I love that one as well... a sophisticated sweet powdery floral? yes.. I know.. it was lovely. My daughter loved the bottle and the pink color so I gave it to her. I have always worn Prada Iris.. is it powdery fresh amazing and I get a million compliments. I have worn the Dior fragrances which are nice but I pretty much needed a change from my Chanel No 5 that I wore out. I have recently discovered Panheligan's . This summer I have gone through an entire bottle of Lancome Oud Bouquet and rotating the MFK fragrances Oud Satin Mood, Oud Silk Mood, Bacaraat Rouge, A La Rose, And Femme Pluriel - keep the recommendations coming!!

People are easily offended. I feel you on your opinion of those fragrances being tacky. Although I do like Fantasy and Pink Sugar but I don’t own them at this time. And I like Viva La Juicy, I purchased it for the first time in my life this summer. Sometimes I would want to wear these fragrances but I’m not going to wear them to a fancy dinner or to an event, more just to lounge around.

I have a little tip - go to Amouage. I haven't discovered all yet, but that is how they feel. The longevity is variable, some last forever, some evaporate within 2 hours... ( I tried Honour, Journey, Love Tuberose, Ashore - feminine ones, and 1 Dia man - as Demi wears it. And despite being the male fragrance that one, it is truly beautiful).

I had a CK perfume form my dad when I was an ignorant teen and couldn't find it again after I had used it up and didn't, so I was on a youtube hunt to find it again and I'm pretty sure it's the CK in2u for her. I'm happy to find it, I want to buy it again.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and fragrance is such a subjective thing. Not to mention that the way a fragrance smells on your skin has a lot to do with body chemistry and our tastes change throughout our lives. I have Mon Guerlain Sensuellle and Hanae Mori EDT and they are both very nice and affordable. Do you prefer the Hanae Mori EDT or EDP? Prada La Femme is on my radar, I really want that one. ❤️

I have two perfumes from the other video in my collection, the way I see them and the reason I have them is different from Demi, I actually thought it was hilarious and did not think she was calling me or people who wear them tacky, she called the fragrance tacky, it's her opinion and she's entitled to it😁 I repeat, she called the fragrance tacky, not any of you, so taking it personally is just silly.
