Good question. Well these Carribean countries were English colonies before. They are descendants of Africans but different from Africa. Antigua, Saint Lucia,Barbados are actually wealthy countries because of tax havens and tourist on cruise ships from usa uk Canada…. Also these countries had the option to be part of Canada or be free. They choose to be free instead. With Jamaica very close to joining Canada. They were all under the commonwealth in the 1970s and believed in the queen. These days it’s more modern. Most Antiguan + Jamaican peoples live in NYC and Florida.
