excellent job. As I I've seen on the video the generator is an AC synchronous gen, 12,4 KW, 3~phase, 220V. which is weird. Because all the gens that size produce 480 V if you use a single comando socket or 220V per phase, ( or per winding ) X3 if you use 3 normal domestic plugs. Anyway if that Chinese gen tag reference is correct I am still missing the specs of the flywheel and the motor
Just like the old magic tricks - note how after about 4.45 you never get to see the other side of the frame (where the external power supply is discreetly connected through the 'spare' bolt hole and runs into the steel square section tube) and also given away by no loss/dimming of lightbulb power when the alternator is connected at 5.35.
I think because there was enough momentum in the wheel between the motor and dynamo due to which the dynamo was spinning at the same speed and notice how he immediately plugs the motor in so that it's spinning doesn't stop if you think it like that then there was enough momentum in the wheel to spin the dynamo and due to that there was enough power for the light bulb to shine if he didn't plug the motor immediately then probably we could've seen the light dimming out and the motor not spinning when he plugs the motor into the other plug. I don't know If that is correct but I'm just guessing let me know if I'm wrong

I did this years ago, and it does work. It should be pointed out that the yellow device seen here is not an automotive alternator. It is more or less a stand-alone generator. If it were an alternator, it would have to be hooked to a battery for it to work. My project used an automotive blower motor to spin an alternator, which required an automotive battery. Just like with an automotive engine, once you turned on the blower motor, the alternator started putting out 13.5 volts, providing enough amperage to keep the battery charged indefinitely and supply a power inverter to run 110 volt devices. I actually made it to have a power supply for my guitar amplifier down at a river. The one obvious part that would have to be replaced periodically on mine was the battery. They don't last forever.

@@irishlad8797 the yellow bit is the alternator, this is driven by the flywheel which is being turned bu the silver electric motor. They are large enough to overcome the frictional forces.

I was looking online and they have 2000 w turbines on eBay and Amazon and they sell they charge controllers resistors inverters inverters separately and they have some very small powerful motors at 30 watts and then they have 1/2 hp at 300 watts seems like it could work

There's a secret cable underground, coming up the post nearest the multi-way outlet. The silver motor is powered from mains, but when he removes the silver motor from the mains, the flywheel keeps spinning. When he plugs the silver motor back into the mains outlet, the silver motor gets power again, maintaining spin on the flywheel again. The light is switched on by plugging in the connector from the yellow motor (which is only a load). The connector from the yellow motor (which does nothing except be a load) has an internal shorted connection so that it behaves as a switch to the mains outlet for the light and the light comes on.
This is just a pile of trickery. But I like it. It's fun to think how they did it.
The flywheel will keep spinning a long time after even after the motor is disconnected.

The mass of the flywheel is storing the energy that was initially put into it to get it moving, so it's behaving as a sort of battery.
You can see the flywheel slowing down a bit towards the end of the video after he used the saw on the angle iron.
It's not free energy. If it were, it would have started running without them needing a pull cord, or needing to plug in the smaller motor to an external power source at all.
Over time, the friction of the bearings will cause it to slow down and stop. Plugging anything into it (I.e. light bulbs) diminishes the stored energy, and will cause the flywheel to slow down faster.
It's a neat contraption, but it's not a free energy device.

If you take a small battery and then connect it to a large coil, it produces, or outputs, more energy than putting into right? So, if you can produce more energy using a coil, then what's not free about that? The coil costs money? The coil does the work. So, if you initiate energy from say a river and use that energy and also a coil, you got free energy right? Or is not a river free energy? If you use a HUGE flywheel and spin it with your hands and use something to get it really spinning... and also use a huge coil... you've got free energy. Oh, but the flywheel will eventually stop is the argument? That's absurd. Coils generate large amounts of energy, which is a higher return than input. If you use a small current to run a small motor to keep the already-in-motion-flywheel from slowing down, that's not nonsense.

So...main intrest is the components in that alternator for it to generate enough energy to keep full speed as well as working in that mannor with as much resistant tention is being placed on the generator turning the belts. Because that has to be the most frictionless altinator ive ever seen to put up a performance like that to produce that much power.

The flywheel is acting as a battery. Once the battery is used up, it will stop. A similar setup (though much more advanced) is already in testing in NASA's G2 flywheel energy storage system.

I want to see two AC amp meters showing the generator output current and the motor input current. To get free power the generator has to source more then the motor uses. Two AC voltage meters would be good too. Pretty sure this is just a trick as I have never seen any electronics that are more then 100% efficient.

I think the contraption will just stop when the energy stored im the flywheel is fully dissipated to friction and other power consuming equiptment. First law of thermodynamics. Energy can not be created of destroyed; it can only be transformed.
Was once asked by my employer's CEO to check out a perpetual motion machine (which the ex-biker mechanic inventors took pains to say it wasn't). It amounted to a magnetically-coupled gear drive. 12V battery driving a non-conductive disk with embedded magnets, driving a smaller such disk at right angles, driving a generator driving a lamp. They actually believed they were extracting energy from the magnets because the output voltage from the generator was higher than the input voltage to the motor. Sheeeeesh. It didn't take long before they suggested they could add more "power take-offs" and connect one back to the motor. It was a beautiful piece of work. I told them they should make and sell them as art pieces.

Very nice, you made an mechanical battery, the friction in the bearings will eventually cause the machine to slow and then stop once the energy stored in the flywheel disperses. I built the same unit 20 years back, I eventually used electro magnetic bearing, then super cooled magnets to get it to run for hours. Not very cost effective.

In this case the fly wheel is acting as a physical force battery. Makes for a very efficient system that instead of storing the energy it’s just constantly converting it back and forth. That being said it will eventually slow and stop on its own.

I agree ... the flywheel is essentially a mechanical battery. Actually this type of energy storage exists, be it a more advanced design in the power generation industry. This is a type of mechanical battery. In a real world mechanical battery the motor/ generator and fly wheel is magnetically levitated and encased in a vacuum sealed enclosure thereby reducing friction.

what are the specs of the alternator and engine? , that is to say the power, the voltage, the intensity of the generator and the motor?
My father used to be an inventor and his design was almost same like this, almost Identical but a few difference.... My father used this design with an alternator with two 12v batteries, an inverter, electric motor and a fast charger.. Battery A will run the alternator while charging battery B then if battery B is full it charges battery A, if both batteries has reached the desired Voltage charge they both shut off.. We used it to power our lights and not more than that.. we used it almost half a year and only maintenance done was with the gears and battery Fluid or faulty battery replaced.. The fact is that it worked but only problem was that the batteries doesn't last forever..
Capacitors can last 50 years. I have some large caps from 1970 and they still work.

Yea mate.. see the flywheel slow as he uses the cut off saw.. the saw isn't drawing enough power to cut effectively either.. cheers.
The saw did cut the metal.....and the flywheel sped back up again afterwards because it is being powered by the motor at a constant speed when nothing is connected to the system. What will stop the system is if you overload it completely. Taking all power away from the motor which will then mean the system is only powered until the flywheel stops.

They aren't using a power cable. That flywheel has a huge amount of mass and is moving very fast, so it stores kinetic energy from when they had the motor plugged in to the external power source. You can see that spin rate of the flywheel drops noticeably when they run the saw from it.
There are parasitic power loses throughout that system, so they actually used more energy than if they'd just plugged the saw and the lights directly into the power source.

The tested it on dirt first, no problem if it will go on concrete. Only make the anchorage.
