This is wonderful! I’m 70 and although I’ve been a freelance photographer for years, I’ve been building my professional portrait photography business since 2021. I recently joined The Portrait System and I’m learning from the amazing amount of information there. I’ve gained sooo much validation from Kitti’s story, and I plan on shooting into my 100s! I have absolutely no space for a reveal wall at this time. But, I'll try it out later on. I keep hearing more about them from different videos here; I agree on retouching. A photograph is an holistic process from concept to shooting to editing to printing. Editing is crucial; I'm restarting at 73.

im so interested to know if digital photographs come as a complementary to any of the packages or is it just product?
Where I live, people think that anything over £250 for a portrait shoot is far too expensive. Especially as there are photographers out there who only charge £75.
Because of this, I've had to resort to returning to full time work, as I was earning next to nothing working as a photographer. It's both frustrating, and soul destroying, not being able to forge a career out of something I am so passionate about. When there's 'Mr Cheap Shots', who only does it for a hobby, and is busy busy busy, churning out crap amateurish portraits for £75.
You need to offer something they dont.
When I started 7 years ago, I couldn't get people to pay $150 for a photoshoot. After finding Sue and learning how to offer something of true value to clients, I sold $2500 packages. The difference in learning how to set yourself apart and not compete on pricing is mind blowing. Don't give up.
Beautiful studio! I'm curious what's done with the physical images if they aren't purchased? Also, what's a good price range for individual matted prints like that? Thanks for the video!

Kitti, I'm curious as to the dimensions of your shooting area in this studio.
The founder of McDonald's was in his mid 60s, if I remember correctly. U started over again at 70; Amen on the perspective with age.

So, how many prints do you reveal? And, what do you do with ones they don't buy? Do you have a room filled with unpurchased photos? I have the Pro 100 just because I can't afford the 1000 yet: I'll have to pay for itself before I buy it.
1800$?? This is so underpriced....... Sue is right, your package is worth much much more.
What a wonderful inspiration. As I prepare to sign the lease on a small studio today at the age of 56 after a 10 year hiatus from photography, this was just the answer to the prayer I made last night as I lay in bed wondering if I were doing the right thing. Am I too far out of touch with current trends. Am I too old to start over? Thank you ladies for the beautiful moment of confirmation. Studio keys in hand, I honor you. ❤
