The forklift antics starting at 1:47::45 had me laughing out loud. I hope they did something about the crash physics, as much as I like seeing crates exploding into the air and forklifts spinning onto their roofs.
Cop for four years?! Kind of a baby cop! :P Hated swing shift when I worked it... I worked the same hours (1600-0200) but the rest of my department was working 0700-1900 or 1900-0700. I worked Wed-Sat while they worked the Panama Schedule (M-Tu-Fri-Sat-Sun-Wed-Thr).... being the swing shifter I got stuck covering all of the short shifts and when people had vacation. Never had a consistent schedule... go from days to nights to swing back to days more than I care to admit. At 6 years in they threatened to put me back in that schedule even though I had more seniority than other people and shift bids were by seniority. Pulled the pin on that department and switched to a similar size department in a metro area... 50% pay increase at the big end, starting pay was the same as my exit pay from the previous department. Better admin who actually give a hoot. I received more training in the first year at the new department than the last FOUR at my previous department. No regrets on the switch at all! Love nightshift! That said, half looking for an exit... finally sat down and did the math on the retirement end of things and determined it wasn't worth it basically retiring at end of life (look at the Buffalo police study... crazy data). Love the job, the department I'm with (people, admin, and citizens) and the variety of calls, but just tired of all the drama and the damage it is doing physically, emotionally and mentally. Stay safe out there!
Thanks for the comment, I am thankful my department does a good job at taking care of me. Stay safe brother and thank you for your years of service, I can definitely relate to you
