Thank you for talking about the responsiveness of the touchscreen controls! With how powerful the processors and FPGAs have gotten there is no excuse for oscilloscope companies to release these devices with laggy, unresponsive controls! The original iPhone has far smoother touchscreen response and it was released 15 years ago!
This is a scope in the price range of 15000$ to 23000$. The touch screen is computer driven and not by a fpga, this is pretty normal for that price range
Wow, that is some *serious* hardware! Very interesting note about the ease of use, I somehow would have expected Tektronix to have the best UI because they’ve been making scopes the longest. Good to know, although I’ll never buy a 6000 series(!) (I also _really_ dislike black test instruments, I find it too hard for my old eyes to read the white text against a black background. Most of the controls are actually on the touchscreen, but I just don’t like the dark color on my bench.)
ShOcK & AWE!! 1Ghz? Holy Batman... You've gone PRO :O) I have a LeCroy too - but it's about 20 years old :O\ But I usually don't tell people that. I don't want to overload them with the details. I bet you can't wait until LeCroy's are "babe magnets". Anyway, very COoL.
What is the use of such high power / high frequency probes? Car inverters run at lower end of kHz. Do you work with commercial broadcast transmitters? And does it make sense to combine high power work with such a high end scope?
To measure and evaluate switching waveforms of power semiconductors such as MOSFETs, IGBT, and GaNFET. Higher sampling rate and 12bit voltage resolution are very important.
@@DENKI-OTAKU I imagine it's useful for emi/rfi harmonic analysis and how square square waves really are. 12 bit, does that make the spectrum analysis software actually useful and less it doesn't cost much so we'll throw it in? The algorithm wanted me to watch this just started viewing. It worked, I'm jealous nice bit of kit :)
The lower-end models (the ones that don’t run atop full desktop Windows) are made by Siglent, but are customized. The high-end scopes are still made by LeCroy in USA.
Why going for lecroy when keysight offers better products cheaper ? If im not mistaken, lecroy scopes are good because they have extremely good memory and great MAUI which offers many features
What windows rev does it run.? and its +1½ min bootuptime and that is gonna get slower when you start filling the platform with more content & registry, though you can always clean the slade with fresh install, but often you dont. nice scope, and I hope you get a lot of use out of it for your social media incentive, as expensive labgear is like buying a new car... that inner value got a will of its own... and for the casual user, that drop is hard to swallow..
I randomly got this video suggested, and honestly, to me, this oscilloscope is too big. I'm a firmware developer, with very cramped desk. What works the best are PC-based oscilloscopes. I just plug in the probes, tuck the scope away, and view all the signals on one of the screens of my PC.
Are you serious to prefer LeCroy over YOKOGAWA ??... You have disappointed me ... Don't be surprised if you could see similar Chinese product to this model soon ...
This is just an ad for teledyne. No real comparisons with other scopes. No measurements revealed just statements like "it's quicker". How much quicker. what was the difference in price.

At 28.799,99 € a bit pricey.

$47,000..........Dude that is corporate grade prices and equipment
Wow! Looks perfect! I also give a lot of attention to the UI, and this must be of the first oscilloscopes I liked. I hope you enjoy it! :)
Very good choice, wonderful device! Congratulations!
What a beast of a scope! And here I am with an old Fluke CRT scope! But at least it semi-digital...
I just lick my fingertips and pinch the wires between them and count the pulses. It's a whole lot cheaper! 😉
Just for videos? It would be hard to justify that price even for consulting.
Good overview, thanks!
Amazing tool. But for me just a dream 😂
Me too ...

It's true that teledyne lecroy is processed at Siglent's factory, I think it uses the same board as Siglent because the board has their logo on it.
Feel free to send me your old one ;-) Great video, looking forward to your videos where you use it on projects, etc ☺

nice nice bro!
Wow!!!
So where have you suggested a book?
Teach Yourself Electricity and Electronics by Stan Gibilisco
The scope alone costs about 60k$ together with the probes that must be almost 80k$
is teledyne lecroy a undercover Siglent with new brand label?
edit: yep, I have google it. Indeed, it is chinese Siglent

Amazing
I wish I can have that your old used oscilloscope. I have a need for it but have no money.
"I chose this oscilloscope because when I fart hundred dollar bills come out from the other side" 😂
That's a $16,000 USD scope! 😳
what!!
and probes another 20 000 USD
Way more than $16K, man! ;)

1GHz ? and High Voltage Probe ,for what using ? Phones Antenna
Yikes! Sweet instrument. Wow.
Thanks
I still good use of mine kikusui Japanese brands old model good for me ..
I want one, but I'd have to stop eating.
Exactly my thought too 😂
Edit: in all honesty, a cheap brand is probably enough for my current needs though.

高すぎる。
yes, that is $33,000 US. not to mention the probes he bought
What was the price? Not for you to brag, but it's helpful for us to have some idea.
You can check the price of their Scope here in Japan. (PDF link)

@@DENKI-OTAKU ありがとう! Now I am off to dream!
Hi , How do you pay for such a scope ? 😄
How much is the price?
List price is around $50K (without the active and differential probes!), but there are always pretty big discounts on them.
excellent engineer! thanks or sharing
This sounds like a Sam Harris ai voice lol nice video tho
Pleasure. Make it. In practical. And show us. Thanks alot

I use pc based scope like analog discovery and adalm2000 too.
It works fine for low voltage and multi mega hertz measurement.
There are barely any usb oscilloscopes with 1ghz bandwith, active probes and a logic analyzer, this oscilloscope also has a computer in it.

meh, so what? do your own research, if you care. i think you just want to complain.
You bought this for home use?!?
