    Thank you very much for your tutos... I've started windsurfing since july 2016 and I've learned everything from your excellent videos...! (Of course I mean every intermediate skills, such as waterstart, tack and jibes)... I didn't need any help from anyone ! I still drop in the planing jibes but getting better and better everytime... I've watched your tutos thousands of time ! thanks again and keep posting

    I keep returning to the video to improve the gybe. I like how you explain, mostly the footwork is fundamental and also where to put the feets. Thanks.🎉

    Hi! I was wondering what do you mean by extending the front hand. Ia this always the hand closest to the mast (left) or is this the hand that is in front at a certain moment? So sailing clue first in this video the right hand?

    Why do you need to kick up the dagger board?

    • @GetWindsurfing
      @GetWindsurfing  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Martynas Mickevičius
      The board will steer downwind easier if you kick up the dagger board. You can use a daggerboard for the gybe if you wish. It is just harder to do and the fostering is reversed.
      With the daggerboard up the footwork is very similar to the Planing Gybe and a great move for training this.

  • @thomasd.192

    Why to kick the dagger up before? That i didn’t learn in my school? Is it easier then?

    • @GetWindsurfing
      @GetWindsurfing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Makes it easier for the board to go downwind. Especially if you have more power

    what board do you use? ( the green and black one )

    • @GetWindsurfing
      @GetWindsurfing  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +manuhelgan man The green and black board in the video is a Starboard flare. It is a freestyle board.
      You can find more about it on their website here www.star-board-windsurfing.com/2015/products/boards/flare

    He nearly dropped the sail when flipping. That's not good technic, and will end up with trouble with larger sail or stronger wind

    • @GetWindsurfing
      @GetWindsurfing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thanks for the comment. We disagree, but would be interested to hear your thoughts on it.
      I can't see where you are referring to with dropping the sail. Why do you believe the technique is bad?
