Belerick's tankiness/reflect damage and taunt in the current assassin meta (where zoners are special)

I agree with the reduction of mana, but the guaranteed CC would be too good. He has his own niche against certain comps.

@@roronoazoroa3052 but he is underwhelming if we compare to other roamer like tigreal,atlas,hylos,even lolita. Want a super tanky roamer? Pick hylos. Want tank with a lot of crowd control? Tigreal,Alpha,Kufra exist. The only thing belerick excels is against enemy mm,but nowadays most mm are not META,instead it was assasin META,and belerick aren't very good against them.

He's a bit niche but definitely not unusable, and it's just oh so satisfying whenever you perfectly time an ult and then follow it up with a 1st skill taunt.
To be fair, he's a good counter to diver heroes cause he can hold the enemies near him. Though I miss the old ult where he can give damage reduction to his team, especially during this meta so much damage, a tank that can provide damage reduction will be fun add to tanks
old belerick wasn't dmg reduction for the team, it was absorbing percentage of dmg from the team and also gaining dmg reduction for himself

@@mehshutup3041 in a way, yes but also different because the more teammates inside his ulti radius, the more DMG belerick receive, meaning belerick may die much quicker if he absorbs the DMG from 4 teammates in a team fight
His 1st skill needs to be buffed for guaranted cc instead of delay.

Agree and also a bit wider taunt AoE. I noticed how easy his opponent dodge it coz it's narrow compared to Gatot's taunt which is easier to use.
I think guaranteed taunt on his first skill might be a bit too much. Either slightly make it faster or make it similar to Gatot's 2nd skill (charged but guaranteed cc)
You just ain’t doing it right. in order to do it just need to timing the first skill Know the enemy movement were they be heading next, The mana consumption just slap that with Clock of destiny no more mana probs but in early team firghts just add one necklace of durance for a little bit of mana regen.
The second they make his ult instant CC, he will be perma banned.

The skill delay was the one slowing him down, and also his passive which is by chance, if they could tweak his passive that the lower his hp, the higher the proc, it would be better and i wish that his 2nd skill can intimate too since it only targets 1 hero, they could've done it
Belerick cant act as a proper roamer, you either use him as the hyper or exp laner. Compare to other roamer, he cant shield his teams much after his skills on cd. Take Mino for example, bro have knock up on first, and then he ult, and then his first skill resets it cd and you have another knock up. And then heal. Belerick? Slow taunt. Abysmal mana usage, passive activate by 0.25% right? Compared to his old version where he can activated it everytime he got damage. The thing with this current Belerick is, he's way better as the exp laner and can be a hyper. And then the old one is better as a roamer since he can protect the team with one single ult. That damage reduction one. So, if you want to play Belerick, think if him as a much tankier Uranus and Hylos, yes i mained all three and yes, Belerick is tankier than Hylos too.
He's actually pretty good in late game but he should be played more as a defensive hero where you'll only use the taunt when enemies approach you or your teammates rather than a setter

lesley still can kill bele as long as lesley keeps distance the tank that could kill lesley is hylos 1st skill makes u dash + ulti speeds u up while slowing enemies u wont see lesley be able to escape without flickering and 1st skilling to be fair hylos is the unkillable just use heal spell+ulti+ regen ur going to keep healing back to max since heal spell boosts 25% more healing
To be fair twilight armor wouldn't fair much if the lesley can always keep distance along with endless battle ur getting 500 extra true dmg with full weapon build no boots

I mean he's good but lackluster compared to better tanks. His taunt skills are pretty unreliable to be the team's main source of cc. He gets countered by slows and bursts. Lastly, he works better against high dps heroes so you wouldn't pick him in every match. In my opinion, Belerick is pretty meh in this current meta and this is coming from someone who's favorite tank is belerick. I think he works better off in the exp lane than roaming plus he's probably one of the more fun tanks to play. Hororo is kinda exaggerating by calling him "useless".

There is no useless hero, only player/s who don't know how to utilize it.
But there is, there's the reason why all game have meta, some weak heros can be situation but it doesn't mean said hero's good, And some get pick more than the others because it stronger, like kaja used to be so OP he can one shot MM, Fighter, Mage and Assassin with only First skill + Normal Attack, Now i don't pick him anymore.

he's greatly recognized in Brazil, also, his my main! he got many flaws tho, his ult is a lot unreliable at times, also too risky to go in teamfights.

believe the problem w belerick is basically his skill delay; his ult is very dodgeable, and his skill 1 is extremely dodgeable. It also doesn’t really help that like most people use vengeance on him when he doesn’t have a dash only a run at you skill, so he’s very immobile with already hard to hit skills. his mana consumption isn’t nearly as bad of an issue as I see people saying bc he can easily abuse the new clock of destiny item. And belerick can easily go 30-40% cdr effectively especially because clock of destiny has 10% cdr in built and he could easily abuse the oracle t belt combo. People are still building him like tigreal, and not an ap tank juggernaut like hylos so.
I somehow agree. He's my main tank before but when I used him recently, it's so hard to deal with really fast assassins, they can easily dodge your ulti which is slow. They should have also removed his mana dependency, without that you can build a better mobility or increase his HP further.
i agree with the UlT, i unleash it in pointblank range yet the enemy can just "What did you even do bro?"
playing a solid 12 minutes of 0 stats and just fighting for towers, minions, and poke damage is the ultimate sustain exp laner experience
belerick is the best tank imo. the meat shield tag is made for him. pump hp and def and nothing can go wrong. passive increases hp equipment and auto counters. consider it a win if you can drain all the enemy ultimates and distract them for a good 5 to 10 seconds
Glowing wand is good on him cus his passive activates it all the time
Honestly, I use Belerick as just a counter-setter.
I equip him with Purify, and when that Atlas/Tigreal/Khufra catches me, I purify and counter with my Ult. But other than that, I have a had time making plays with him 😢 He could use a good 'blink' like Khufra or an 'unstoppable' dash like Tigreal and Grock.
For a tank his mana consumption is worse than mage

don't hate hororo guys, what she meant't is in this current meta most of the Heroes have mobility and dash skills which can escape or ignore him most of the time since belerick skills have a delay before he can apply taunt, sure you can use flick ult but most of players will probably just use vengeance since it's more useful dealing with mm or basic attack heroes, with this current meta most of players prefer using gatot as a replacement for him because belerick is just a situational hero, you can't spam pick him anytime that you will give an advantage to clash unlike gatot who has an absurd damage and sustain and can properly set anytime rather than saving his ult in the clash
he is more like a situational pick now only good when enemies have lot attck speed or continues dmg and they really need to make his mana consumption low like he cant even spam few skills in late game you have recall after like 5 minustes
Belerick, adjust ulti delay into no delay like Atlas.. but may make it delay 4 longer CC.. Hilda, adjust ulti based on enemy current hp, the less hp the better the damage became (no need to hit all of that stack).. Carmilla, set her ultimate to no delay, but may make it delay 4 longer CC.. Aamon, make his invisibility immune to CC so he will sustain much more in early and mid game (that's what Magic Blade is all about, immunity and invisibility).. Florynn, should add more shield each time she heal skill (passive effect) , Estes should also get aoe mini shield for allies when he cast ultimate, his second skill also had mini stun like 0.5 second n then slow by 50% for brief 1 second

Dude is most likely the 5th or 4th best tunder belt user, he benefit in every way from the item, movement speed, tanky, damage, he under rated
They need to add slow debuff in his 1st phase skill (before the root materialized) and reduce his skill mana consumption. I think that pretty enough

He's a pretty decent tank jungler imo. Maybe not in the very high ranked lobbies, but when you have a squishy support and an exp that can't withstand a beating then he is the perfect choice. Clears buffs super quickly after getting Cursed Helmet, and he has tons of HP for bonus Bloody Retribution damage. He does a lot more damage than people expect, and he has pretty decent sustain with his S2. Mana isn't as much of a problem if you have your blue. Plus his ult can help secure objectives by stunning the enemy jg. He's just not very mobile, so your ganks would need to be more brute force tactic or ambushy. Amazing in teamfights
When I play belerick I buy elegant gem first then build blade armor so that the passive effects of mana and health regen of elegant gem would help me sustain in early team fight
I use him as a sustain tank against dps heroes because of his passive, he is just weak against burst type heroes. It really depends where you use him.
One could imagine belerick manaless or the ultimate turned back like the year before
Belerick is definitely one of my favorite tanks. He REALLY need some adjustments though.
I agree to you, yes he is useless to mainly tough fighters and tanks, but hes meant for marksmans, he damages when taking damage, combining him with bladed armor, vengeance and any tough or build with high hp, you can kill marksmans, even tough hp drillers like miya, claude, karrie, and even zilong if attack speed fighters are included
As a mm main, that uses characters with trinity build, I see it as an absolute win that he is not meta and not been used cus when he was used, it was hell for trinity build users
Buy thunderbelt first if you're going exp. It helps a lot

If it's unkillable that mean it's not useless
He should have used Guardian Helmet as first item, then since Belerick is exp lane, he should use Glowing Wand as Belerick's passive activates the burn effect. Alternatively, he could use Thunderbelt to stack up fast. To account for mana loss, he should build Mana Boots

Belerick isn't useless, especially against mm except(lesley, aspd Trinity build, anti hp magic item's) and with the right player and item counters, he can be viable tank.
TBH his old pre-revamp ult in this meta is looking kinda good...
I am a Belerick user, Incan kill up to 15 enemy using that tank in Mythic Rank or higher because teammates are capable to backup. And also I have a secret combo and builds.
His HP regen 2nd skill should be based off his missing HP. This will make him viable for outplays.

I mean I have experienced being a marksman fighting against a Belerick protecting the other Marksman and uses Vengeance. Scary as hell. Luckily I had a great Mino that was super experienced and I managed to crush the both of them every single time. I was a Natan FYI
Whaaaa.... he's my favourite tank. Seriously tho, I know his first skill usually suck unless used after ult or in a big team fight where no one would notice it. And yes, him mana consumption is annoying. But, I still play him in mythic almost everytime I have to play the roamar. (Which is my most played lane now since mage, my actual primary role, is usually heavily crowded)
Dev must put this hero also in Mana-less for unli punching bag.
I know this is late but I use glowing wand for his first item, it’s really good against mm and mages and then build hp. Yeah I do agree belerick is slow
He is my 2nd favorite tank next to gatot. The only downside for me is that I think his skills are too slow so enemies can often avoid it.
Three words for the root of the issue:
HP BASED DAMAGE
make his ult viable with flicker and his pick rate will skyrocket, im sure of it
Its hard to to use his ultimate to initiate, but its a great defensive skill, just wait until the enemies are trying to dive in and when they did just use your ultimate to protect your teammates
As a Belerick main, they need to increase the speed of casting his ult

Well unlike Belerick,he can just return in the ring once he gets his HP back.
And sure he doesn't have CC,but he's more of a damage absorber,just not as tanky as Hylos or as effective as Edith.
I main him even if he's not in the current meta, even if he is only good at taking out marksman His taunt if land or time perfectly is also good at countering skill dependent hero while your team mate take them out.
Belerick should be played defensively, he should act as protector of backlane and taunt enemy heroes who want to kill his teammate.
I just hope his first skill taunt to be switched and the dmg and slow come after second phase... While his ult is to much miss able because it switch from immobilizer to taunt... His taunt is unlike gatot and fredrin that have little window to escape bele taunt is so avoidable it ridiculous sometimes... For his mana well it sometimes is problem but after common emblem and mana Boots revamp it manageable....
Never have seen belerick getting used in any of my classic or rank games anymore
That one moment that lunox player gives hororo a warning when enemy's jungler was trying to kill hororo was just a golden moment.
If that player was my teammate, i swear to god you can be as useless as you can be, even troll the game and I'd still defend you. That's how much i appreciate that one little moment of kind gesture being shown to me in this game (yes, moba players are way too toxic so this little act is just chef kiss)
He is a good distraction against squishy core
He can annoy the hell out of short range mm like Miya, Moscov, Claude, Karrie, Brody and other short range mm
With a good build you can actually 1 vs 3
I think it's better if his Ult creeps inwards instead of outwards, he barely hits any hero outside of a busy clash with this skill
Belerick really shines to be durable and waste their ult on him
the only issue belerick has is the delay's on his first skill and ult and the god aweful percent chance moonton decided to add to his passive for god knows why. If they just fix those he would be so much better.
As all tank users, he's not useless, he's really just a tanky and taunt that he can counter or target just like Gatot, Uranus, Grock, Johnson and Hylos, but he's also annoying to counter while facing the mm and core

Belerick is a menace

his damage is actually quite high in the early game so you can use it to your advantage
He's the kind of tank which if you can't burst him down he can stay there for a long time, and even if you do burst him down you would sacrifice quite a lot to do so

The only thing problem with belerick is his ult. It's slow to take effect. Other thing is ok for me. He's is my main for tank role.
For me the award goes to ... Uranus, he don't have enough cc, plus his tankness is useless coz he ignored during team fights. It will be better if they change his role to fighter only.
I miss his entangling vines but i like his unlimited spikes he can kill mm in an instant
for an ult that only has a low tier cc, the cast time is incredibly slow.

It's kinda wrong to say he's useless since his skills taunt enemies turning their attention from your allies into yours and also his passive reflects damage so it's actually a win win situation.
Belerick is good as he is, he can tank, do damage, has good amount of cc and high mobility and he gives enemy marksmen a run for their money. Any changes to him will either make him bad or too good imo.
I think hororo will be use the "sacred build" for belerick
The fact that you're a Grock master but you struggle with Belerick is wild to me. 😅
Side note, I love those tanky battles, especially when I make sure to get Thunderbolt first, I prioritize those interactions for building stacks.

The delay is killing him, that's the reason why his pick rate is low.
just add revitalize to one of his skills or passive, give him an explosion + immobilized after died, healing while walking on river and he will truly be a "nature wrath". after all, hes a tree, not a sandbag

I wouldn’t say he’s useless, if utilized properly he can agro the enemy just enough to cancel their skills and mindlessly attack or go to him in addition with the battle spell and items he can deal dmg while also sustaining the hits, overall he’s pretty good, in my perspective all heroes are good if used properly

Hororo, the queen's wing's new passive is really good for Aldous, you should try it.😋 The increase damage the lower your health is really good for damage/sustain heroes now

Got to MH this season with 90% WR overall maining Belerick so it depends on the meta
