The Chito vs Suga rematch is a great story as it’s a chance for Sean to get a win back. Good story hopefully translates to more buys, plus Chito and Sean are both pretty big names. Money talks
That matchmaking is more for justice purposes, more than "business". The clown already died in that cage against the better man, this is just an event that everyone needed to happen for the service of the universe future.
@@almazingsk8er It's a shitty story. Suga got dropfoot in a fight 5 years ago and then gave up immediately. Nobody talks or cares about that fight from 5 years ago, Chito is not a big name at all. If this was a "money fight" the UFC wouldn't have felt the need to STACK UFC 299 to make up for the shitty main event.
Really like the insight that you give, you're a really smart fighter so it's cool to get your intricate breakdowns. They way you've been putting everything together inside the octagon is making you a real problem for the division and i really wanna see you vs O'Malley,or even merab for an interim Incase that let Sean the and move up
Hey Cory, I was actually at this fight and saw you walking around with your friend in the VIP section. Couldn’t bring myself to interrupt the conversation you were having with Belal at the bar to shake your hand and thank you for your content so I guess I’ll do it here. I’ve learned a lot from your channel and watching your fights. Hopefully I get another chance to meet you and shake your hand. Thanks!
Sandman getting stunted for that title shot is really bizarre. Good luck if you fight Merab next in between Vera-O'Malley, Cory. Take him out early like Cejudo tried to.
Hey Cory - do you have merch or posters for sale? Checked out your website, looks like all instructionals unless I missed something. You're one of my favorite fighters, thanks for the content
Hey Cory, one more thing to note that I noticed is Henry’s foot position at 9:34 as well. He’s not only got the knee area locked down with the triangle, but the foot wrapped around making it even more difficult to transition out.
It was a great fight and unfortunately merab does have the better claim to the title, the only way I see you able to get a shot before merab is if you beat merab. But the ufc is weird sometimes, the guy you 5-0d is getting a shot now
Brought the biggest smiles to my face, Cory... to see you paying homage ---- simultaneously tongue in cheek and in earnestness ---- to the late Bruce Lee with these captions... in this latest series of videos of yours...
Everything was impressive by Merab, but how crazy is it, that an Olympic gold medalist in FS wrestling, last round gets that deep on a takedown on Merab and he just defended with one arm and denied him completely like a seasoned pro vs a newbie?!!!
Hey Cory, I would like to see a breakdown of your fight with Aljo, like what went wrong, what you would do different in a rematch and openings that Aljo have. Cheers from Brazil.
Come on Corey... Have some dignity you are 3-2 in your last matches and Merab has retired 3rd Ufc former champion... You are a good honest guy... Do not do it especially it's decided anyway already
Wealth of knowledge, you are! Amazing how you break this down to something digestible. "The definition of genius is taking the complex and making it simple." - Albert Einstein
Man I wish I could be there to add some commentary for you to go off of. That head oustside single that henry switched to a back take, is the same exact thing Khabib did to Justin. He tried to sprawl like a normal wrestler would do, but Khabib turned it into a jujitsu advantage.
Let’s be honest neither of you are getting Dana’s boy yet. You’re probably gonna end up fighting merab for an interim belt while they set up Sean and ilia
I’m a huge fan of you and Suga and you’re the only guy at Bantamweight that has the length and the striking to go toe to toe with O’Malley. That’s the fight I want to see!!
Great breakdown! The outside single to back has definitely helped me in the practice room before when dealing with larger teammates. Can't wait to see you get back in the octagon!
@@chidoriman20 Aldo and Whittaker used the limp leg defence and they have the best takedown defence. Of course they combined it with the pivot. In freestyle wrestling "the limp leg isn´t all that at the highest level" but there you wear shoes. Much harder to get away.
This division is so stacked and yet Vera gets the title shot. SMH
YOU MUST NOT UNDERSTAND BUSINESS. ARE YOU NEW?

Hell yeah bro! I'm eating some fish live.
Nice
Honestly i love these videos. Its great to see a great mind walk you through the nitty gritty of fighting. 10/10
The climbing analogy is spot on.

this is my new favorite mma breakdown channel!
You in my top 5 favorite fighters. Great work! Fudge suga up for all of us and grab your belt!

Q and A vid?

Def should be next in line
For sure Merab has to fight for Title. That is not even a serious question...
p.s. Interesting breakdown 👌

Aljos a really good wrestler and Cory wasn’t he’s a lot better now tho.

Nice job sandman. Been watching and rooting for you for a long time. You and omailey would be fire!

Hi Cory could you break down D. Zellhuber vs F. Prado from last weekend?
idk who deserves the title shot more but you vs Omalley would be so fun to watch.

As a kickboxer I do miss a lot of the beauty of grappling. Thank you for this
Great breakdown, I was genuinely surprised by Dvalishvilis cardio. Can't wait to see y'all cross paths one day.
CardiEPO
Had my Testosterone tested for the 1st time. 785 was the number LFG!!
Henry said he's not retiring. Can you cory just go knock him out really quickly so we don't gotta hear him anymore lol
I know 99% of what uncle chael says is not true but it's kinda funny that he outright denies that singles can work in MMA.

How do u know what u need to work on when trying to improve in martial arts?
Got a vid on my channel!
@@CorySandhagenMMA Thank u!
Can't really say Merab is undeserving of a shot but Cory vs. O'Malley is just a much more compelling matchup to me.
I appreciate these technique breakdowns
These breakdowns are much more interesting than other mma content
i think you should wear cloth with color other than the gym wall (blue)
i wish you broke down that counter takedown henry pulled of in the first round
Man id love to come to your gym and train for a few weeks during or before a camp
Yeah, Merab is number 1 for a title shot but after that you deserve to fight the winner for sure
you’re have great breakdowns i’d love to see you as a commentator one day
Great job breaking down the motions. Love this stuff, keep them coming.
Awesome breakdown
We want Sandman vs Topuria 😊
Great breakdown! The outside single to back has definitely helped me in the practice room before when dealing with larger teammates. Can't wait to see you get back in the octagon!
13:51 nice voice crack hehe
Love these breakdowns
Another great video, Cory!
awesome
You’re my favorite BW but Merab deserves the title shot more
Cory grow that stash and grow a mullet. Gaurantee your numbers would explode. You might be like that wont work. It would.
I think you should rematch Vera for the title since the judges thought it was so close the first time around.
Subscribed! Cool channel
Can you do a video on how to improve while injured
glad it's here so soon 🙏 great breakdown champ, can't wait to see you on the opposite side of the octagon someday
But the single leg is weak against: 1-The limp leg, 2-The fence
Limp leg isn't all that at the highest level, if your ankle gets caught you're just giving up the ideal position to finish it regular
Also weak against the third leg
