In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd (Dave Franco), aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
I love that in this movie Zane is totally a robot, the way he walks, talks and the fact his mother is a fax machine, I'm not complaining since this movie is separate from the series.

This is definitely one of my favorite movies. It really doesn’t deserve the hate that it gets. People need to understand that it’s not supposed to be like the show at all, it’s a different universe. Like, the same universe as the Lego Movie and Lego Batman Movie.
I for one love it BECAUSE it’s so different from the show. And I’ve always wanted Warner Brothers to make a movie about Ninjago, I was not disappointed!

If its not the main series' universe then why make it a ninjago movie? Just make a different movie at that point. Why take the name, branding and hype from fans just to bring out something that isnt the name brand or anything related tk it. Imagine someone says they sell great hotdogs, you go and buy one and they serve you a normal cheeseburger

Are you talking about Lloyd’s mom well in the original Lloyd’s mom wears glasses has gray hair and has her hair in a braid but in the movie Lloyd’s mom doesn’t wear glasses has orange hair and has her hair in a bun and to me she looks cooler in the lego ninjago movie than in the original series

I have found that the only way I could bring myself to watch this movie is if I look at it as not a part of the canon show because of how different it is and how it is not even a part of the show timeline.

ok so for the peeps that keeps debating about which is better between the show and this movie: they're both great!
has an animator who studies animations, i can tell ya they both got their qualities and weakness.
(and before you continue reading the rest, i can assure you nostalgia won't affect my arguments, because i simply didn't grew up with ninjago, i recently started watching the show and can easily be objective in subject like this. and has i am writing this comment i'm at the end of season 3 of the main show, so plz no spoilers)
the movie qualities: everyone can watch it and understand it without having any knowledge of the show, so new people can get into ninjago. the animation is just perfect, all the 9 principles of animations are there! the fight scenes are dynamic (with the help of jackie chan). the character designs are really fun, original, interesting and makes each character unique in their own way! still on the character aspect: their personnalities got more intensified, and by that i mean everything that makes them different from the other is more present! like Jay's shyness and 'anxiety' was there in the tv series but just not THAT there enough to make him more 'shine' (in the world of animation, exageration is a good thing, you want to take something at it extreme to make it enjoyable to the public).
the movie down sides: it's a movie so they don't have much time to explore all of the character's stories and lifes of course. They mainly centered it around lloyd (not that it's a bad thing, he's the chosen one). The scenario is great yeah, but because it's a movie it cannot go too deep unlike the show.
the show's qualities: the scenario is really great! Really complex, going deep and emotion wrecking, i was really surprise by how good it is! Same for the characters, i really love them, they got a good dynamic. they work on the character's relationships and their backstories. You see a lot of every one of them. they change, evolves.But let's not forget it's a serie, they have a lot more time to developpe those than in an 1h45 movie! ;3
the show's down sides: the animation is good, but can be better. tho it is a series and the budget isn't the same as the movie so this is understandable 0v0 and quite normal. but some fights are weirdly animated, like they were slow down when it souldn't: i supposed it's a censoring technique to make the fight softer. the visual designs of the ninjas could be more interesting, they are not bad, but the one from the movie catch more the eyes don't you think? ;3
so please stop insulting people for enjoying this movie or for having a preference for the show, they both are ninjago just different. and different doesn't always mean bad or worst or better! but if you want to debate, i am all ears but i must warn you: i don't have much of a social life except animations so i know my stuffs ;3
