IT’S COMPLETE!! BUILDING AND RIDING THE FULL DIRT JUMP LINE!!

- This is a huge episode with loads of trail building, build lapses and riding on the brand new dirt jump sections. This backyard trails line is insane, I love all of it and this is definitely the most progressive video from the series so far. In this mega build we have built new rollers, berms and a step down feature and I test rode it on my dirt jump mtb and it’s amazing! It’s like a return pump track section. This location is so sick for mountain bike jumps, and the FPV drone shots look incredible of the whole place and features. I love how big I can go on the trick jump now too. Enjoy the build lapses!

Unreal line Matt! Could be straight out of a museum 🔥
do you reply?
@WHY! jit trippin, me must be from dirty docks
From a museum haha why? Do you mean a gallery?
Red bull always makes sure to compliment Matt in every video, it is repetitive
@WHY! how did you not understand?
The split berm could be called the “lip-out”. It is when a golfer putts the ball and it touches the inside of the cup, goes around (sometimes almost 360 degrees) but never goes in. Fits very well with the berm being that shape. Love the content!
I concur!
Yes to lip-out describes it perfectly
Haha just come here to write this! Great shout!
I'm nearly 60 and I'm enjoying the effort and rewards you guys are getting keep it up going to be an amazing place when finished
Same here…56… and I’m serious thinking of building a pump track at my place now just so I can get better at jumps!
@@joecasalena8263 do it!
@@joecasalena8263 I’m 19 but I’m building my first pump track rn and it’s been by far the best thing for improving my jumping and tricks I’ve ever done. It’s really great to be able to constantly change features and make them more difficult and bigger as I’ve gotten better, and to create the features I haven’t ridden yet but want to try. If you have a yard for it you should do it! Pump tracks are the best
@@jchrizzy6995 Thanks for the encouragement! I knew pumping helped maintain speed but now I’m starting to realize it sets you up better because you not pedaling which can upset the balance of the bike just before the lip.
@@joecasalena8263 Go for it, it'll be done before you know it. Adding just one or two little pump sections to a line can completely change how a it rides
Matt you could use the turf cutouts to form a few "benches" for guests and other riders to sit on and watch people progress on the line. Cover them with fine dirt and pack it down and you'll have a few great spots for people to chill
Like dirt sofas!
You guys are amazing, you really are. The work and time you put into your passion and the joy that can be seen on your faces when you finish a new jump or a new line is great. Can't wait to see this project finished.
I hope this project will never finished!;-)
@@yvessutter1558 exactly!!
I have some experience fighting bush fires so if you are looking for a small, portable, but powerful gasoline water pump I'd recommend something along the line of the Honda GX160. also your best place to ask about what you need is probably you local fire department as small portable pumps is one thing they are probably experts in.
I only just found your channel this week... You're killing it with the builds. Truly inspirational
the amount of content he makes is amazing im never not looking forward to one of his videos love this
Hey Matt Jones! Call the pond "brakeless lake" because Ben will probably end up sinking to the bottom! Ride ride ride!
10/10 😂😂😂
You guys are incredible for pumping out all these insane build vids and so quickly. Massive appreciation for the effort you guys are putting in, love it🤙
Mad building, I cant believe you've done all of this coming off the back of a broken collar-bone. Incredible 🤘🤘🤘
hi blake
We have watered our local jumps with a bigger transfer pump hooked to 3 garden hoses. Works great having multiple people out watering at once when you have alot of jumps. Just doesn't work as well if your trying to pump the water up hill, better to have the pump at a top of a hill
Matt, I think it would be cool if you made a massive flat drop at the top of one of the hills, but made it out of squared-off dirt instead of wood. And/or a step up to an on-off "box" thats made of dirt. It would be cool to see a giant dirt rectangle rising out of the green hills.
Also, the landing to the slice seems like it could be steeper, but its looking incredible.
so as a teen I rode a lot of BMX, at that time I was part of a group of kids that raised enough funds to design and build our own skatepark locally and I loved every minute of it. Now as a 35 year old dad of two, not only have you created great content for so so long now you also inspired me, all of you, to again pick up a bike a ride. I've fixed up that same BMX from 20 years ago to be able to ride it again and i've also invested in a MTB.. which feels very different. Anyway, I guess what i mean to say is thank you. The joy we all get from riding is incredible and I don't know if i would have felt that again if it wasn't for these videos. Keep it up chaps!
That’s epic mate! I’m 35 and just started riding again over the past couple of months after some 18year break, feels so good to be back jumping again and it’s down to people like Matt and Ben and other TH-camrs inspiration
Good for both of you!! Keep up the shred!
@@greggreg7400 not as easy nowadays whilst carrying a few extra lbs but have to say the buzz you get out of doing it is still awesome! Keep it up mate!
@@damonkennedy6235 Good way to shed some of those extra lbs! I've never ridden bikes but this kind of video makes me want to get back on my longboards again...
By the end of this series, you'll have the one million subscribers🤘🏻
Honestly the highlight of my day when watching these videos the amount of pure raw talent and quality of the video content in phenomenal absolutely chuffed your getting the nomad back out and can’t wait for the next video 👍👍👍
I was thinking in the place where you said you where going to build a pond you could build like a communal area with chairs and a fire pit, just a place to chill after a proper sick run of the playground, also a place to watch others runs, you could name it “THE CENTERPIECE”😮💨
When you announced a new build and location I was so excited. Haven't missed an episode don't plan too, KEEEP THEM COMMING!!! Great work boys.
The ponds sounds like a great idea ! Two of my favourite things in one place. Fish and mountain bikes
Best mountain bike TH-camr in my opinion. Congrats on finished trail.
I can’t wait to see the huge jam. Get them all down. Sam Reynolds. Bernard Kerr. Sam pilgrim. Tom cardy. Blake Sampson. Brendog. I suppose you should invite Jono too! 😂🤣
Yes, you can indeed do this water pump thing you were talking about, there are affordable and also rentable pumps that are easily capable of running a hose from. 👍👍
also electric, battery and solar. but may not have the power to get up the top.
Would recommend a honda motor
Buzzing when the lines work out. Best feeling in the world
Awesome work 🙌. Can’t wait for your Revo video backflipping the massive 50:01 wooden ramps . What an incredible rider .
fish idea is great
DEFINITELY make a pond with a gas powered water pump! Thats how we water some motocross tracks. The pumps are usually about the size of a generator. That size pump might even be over kill for your application.
To say that I’m obsessed with this build series is an understatement. Absolutely mental what you guys have done already! Cheers from Utah⚡️
I'm all about this build series. I can't wait to see the finished run!
This is my favorite series on TH-cam. Hands down
You’re killing it Matt! We all know you can do the tricks, I don’t feel we have to see them all the time. Just go watch his other videos. Love this series, keep doing you and have fun, we will just follow along.
yesssss!!!! this is so sick! would love to see a pond, fish, maybe a few flowers or something. can't wait to see the grass grow in too! such a cool place and can't wait to see every addition and a session with multiple people.
Watching Matt’s videos makes you want to go out side and ride
You guys could build a small water tower? That could collect rain water and create its own pressure to spray everything. As long as it’s high enough up it seems like it should work.
Beautiful work!! This is the most entertaining series, thank you Matt!!
The big roller with the rocks sticking out the side should be called the “fig roll” looks exactly like one 😂
Good work getting those jumps up so quick 👍🏼
Can’t get enough of theses videos, would love to see some wooden features (whale tail or a bridge) combined into the build
That epic fail at 6:42 is amazing. You think it's going to be the biggest boom ever but what follows was immensely funny!😆💥
You could call your pond “The Drink”
When golfing that’s my favorite way of saying you hit your ball into the pond. “Hit it into the drink” Plus your jumps are thirsty and need some of that drink. Thank you and love the vids!
If your planning to keep it, then I would reccomend putting the ibc at the highest point on your site and bury some pipe work out to various location to an tapped outlet on the floor which you can plug a regular hose and a cordless pressure washer, could have numerous outlets spread out and in future you could change the ibc to a larger tank if you find a second hand old waste tank or some thing
All the hills and trees and other little features make this build so interesting. Well done Matt
It would be cool to build more of a berm onto left side of the landing of the split line, like a shark fin takeoff to shark fin landing. Then you could hit it harder and higher from the 180 berm and land left to set you up on the wave and still be able to gap down the step down to the right side of the landing.
This WILL go down as one of the best MTB playlist/series on TH-cam!
Love this series! Always look forward to another vid. Something like a Honda WH20 will probably fit the bill. You could set the pump by the 1k gallon IBC and easily get 500ft of horizontal travel, probably further. Since that's the highest point in the 'system' you won't experience any head losses due to an increase in elevation.
This is the most satisfying series.
Especially because how fast and how the build is.
Awesome line, I love the curve! But I really think the landing should be a lot more straight and then turn towards the wave. You'd get one more turn, way more speed and be able to ride the wave SUPER high!
Simply stunningly beautiful trails. 👊😎👌
Matt u legend 1st comment at time of watching dude ur killing it 👊
Well done guys what an epic build, your hard work is certainly paying off,LEGENDS.
You should pack a small strip of dirt from the wave up the hill and then move the bridge to connect the hill to the t-box, then you could ride all the way back to the start. No walking required:)
Brilliant lines. Ben's edit of build laps has been perfected. Love you guys. Such fun content.
Bring Ben to ride ard rock this year
Besides the amazing content and awesome riding I hate to say my favorite thing about this channel is your incredible dashing speech and the way you talk is mental and I love it
So sick bro but hope this isn't all you're gonna build bc there's so much more space and potential!
Plus you can keep banging out build vids & we'll watch em all🙌
He’s gonna build more he’s nowhere near done he said that before
I assume he’ll probably make a line of giant slopestyle jumps as well this won’t be it there’s like 4 acres of land
Literally said can’t wait to see what it looks like in 1 or 2 years… there’s plenty of builds to come don’t worry
@Greg Greg lol I know I jumped the gun when video said the jump is FINISHED 😄 I got spooked lad
If you branch off near the first hip jump and build another line you can make this one join back into it, you have heaps of speed at the end to do another jump.
Amazing work. The split line bowl is a Dogleg. Use the turf squares to build the pond. Grass up inside and out will help keep the water in. Plastic liner would too. The way you came off the bowl the first time could be another exit option. Need to cut back those blackberry brambles. Someone will end up in them.
This build is so well made, archeologists will discover this in thousands of years and think it's an ancient worshiping ground.
Yall bring light into my life man thank you! Mad respect to you and the crew
The Van Gaugh of jump lines! I'll happily buy an aerial view picture of that for my bike cave. Get it on Hellfare 👍
to be honest, this is probably the best You tube channel. You three are a awesome team. fun and just a pleasure... Well done and thank you
So satisfying to watch
Oh the smoothness
Best series ever! please never stop! so worth it!
Fair play to you lads. That is hard graft. It’s coming along great. Looks amazing. Enjoy.
Absolutely amazing to see it all come together. So much effort gone in to the build and the videos.
So, nearly all I watch on youtube is MTB videos and people building stuff, so when I found Matt 2 years ago you better believe I've been hooked since. I missed this upload and accidentally started watching the next one, had to go back. You guys did so much this go. Grade A wild.
Dude! I love how much land you guys have to play with.... And how many different jumps you guys build! Awesome, keep it up!
40 year old here and just got into mtb..... your content is bloody brilliant mate. I'm off to bunny hop a curb.
Love all the work keep it up. The pond in the middle would be like a water hazard on a golf course. Not the most catchy name but just an idea.
A pond would be sick
i woke up looked at my notifications saw matt jones and the playground and I knew it was gonna be a good day. LOVE the vid keep it up.
Build lapse is so satisfying...playground looks awesome!
You are actually insane, made to entertain you were, Matt. Your build lapses are out of this world keep it up!
I really look forward to these videos!! You guys are killing it! Can’t wait to see what’s next and everybody seshing the new jumps!
Absolutely amazing Matt what you and your friends have achived
Looks surreal. Runs amazing. A work of art.
Amazing, love this series, keep up the GREAT work 👍 fantastic 👏
This and Chas Kelley’s ramp build are my favorite things on TH-cam
You dont always gotta throw big tricks! Your flow on trails is just as awesome to watch!
You can build an elevated natural pond using all the turf you have. You could do a big perimeter with the turf and cover it with a carpet, then you get water and some water plants and you have an awesome permeable ecosystem in the middle of your playground. And you can get all that excess turf to good use 😃💚🍁
I really really enjoy watching these videos, there so so so entertaining and I wish I could ride it. Keep it up love the effort that you and the boys are putting in!!👍👍👍👍👍❤️🖤
You guys inspired my friends and i to start making jumps at a nearby track
So f#$%ing sick. Such creative lines. Good hard work boys. Absolutely f#$%ing rad!
What a great collection of art work you have built there !! PROPS! your ideas come together so nice, every thing looks big or small and looks llike your going to slow on some but you manage to flow it super rad! Also looks like you have a good spot for a dirt half pipe next to your scafold ramp across the gulley, Looks like you could make a sweet bowl even! or a mini dirt skate park! Cant wait to see whats new!!
Best time lapse videos to watch, filming is always great and you never miss a thing, never disappointed by any upload
Hi Matt, I reakon you should build a 3rd line after the wedge in between the cambered roller and the berm, it would be an awesome on-off whale tail thing and you can jump over the hips runway
Opposite way to the slice is a hook or duck hook for th left hip. Love the work you guys do keep on digging, can't wait for the next vids....
I'm telling you this as someone who has used the gas-powered pumps extensively. They work and they work well. Used to use them to transfer water between ponds for snowmaking at ski hills. They can move pretty crazy amounts of water. Enough water to feed several garden hoses at the same time
So sick! Looks really good! Great job guys!!!!!! Can’t wait to see more videos!
The whole line looks so good! can't wait to see all the tricks!
The pond would be a "water trap" on a golf course. Everything is looking stellar so far. Amazing work!
That's great! Loving the series. Can't wait to see the bangers go down!
definitely needs an ancient megalithic theme ! Stonehenge meets the Giza pyramids meets Mayan temples . work of art boys ! from an English man in Tasmania '
I think when this beasty of a course is done you should have a golf themed comp. Where each rider is marked based on the course par per jump, trick and execution. Would make a great little sesh series Matt
I’m gutted please start some transfer lines in and off that one nothing to watch now great effort lads best TH-cam watch for a while 🤟
Matt, in response to your water issues.
Two options I could think of as I live in a hilly, remote area with a lot of people who live off-grid.
One is an electric water pump with maybe a few totes and/or a larger tank. The electric pump could run off a battery at 12v, and there are a ton of portable battery banks on the market that could be charged by a solar panel. Reliable, and you can avoid the fuel/ oil that'll just be more stuff to carry around and deal with.
Two, gravity Fed. At 2200 pounds, that tote would have some weight you'd have to deal with, but every foot of height would gain you .434 PSI of pressure. 10ft=4.34psi Enough height could get the water to where you need it.
loving this series - totally addicted!
pump track flowing around the entire perimeter would be so sick going up and down the hills
Cheers man those trails look sick. Have fun riding them.
Call the pond the water hazard :)
What about a dozen rain collecting barrels? Feed them into 1x or 2x larger 1K L tanks, and then pump water from them to water the jumps... with all the rain it should keep itself filled nicely! The pond is a great idea as well!
The pond/water source could be a whole project in itself would be a cool sub-series for the playground series.
You could have a few ponds scattered around at different elevation points and set up a cool natural guttering system from bamboo or something to connect them all and have exit points that run into the big water tanks!
Could also use the turf piles to hide the water tanks to look more natural!
Love the series Matt! Buy a cordless power washer. You can hook them up into buckets etc and they save mass amounts of water while perfectly watering the jumps!
Best series ive seen on youtube in a while
Matt you have a perfect opportunity to build a dirt half pipe between two of those mounds… that would be epic!
Absolutely awesome 😎 trail is 👀 absolutely amazing
