First time Tig welding on my new AHP Alpha Tig 203xi

Well oh well I finally broke down and just shelled out the cash for a new Tig welder and this is me trying to weld with it,, enjoy!

YES......air cooled torches get hot after awhile in the hand!!! Get a water cooled torch and enjoy welding more!!!!! I put a water cooled torch on my AHP200X and love it!!!🤗

@dewalt57 oh yeah, it would help a ton, and I'd like to get on sooner than later.. it is a pretty enjoyable setup!!

I have the same machine, seems to be a great rig. Although I am having issues running it on AC for my aluminum projects… it sputters like a MOFO. I can lay beads but it cuts out something awful. Getting help from the AHP Techs via email but so far no improvements. Definitely look into a water cooler for this thing. Definitely makes it more enjoyable when you’re doing big projects.

@Justforfun-ek7et absolutely, water cold is a nice add on, as you said. It would be great for big jobs.
