I wish this story was the primary attitude toward crime and criminals. Surely, the evil is not extinguished or negated, when the criminal is locked but his mind is still not free
Amazing story. Despite it being 2600 years ago, this message shines through like never before. This one sutta gives so much truth: - about crime and forgiveness - the Buddha’s compassion for the most outcasted and “evil” in society - the “noble birth” which all Buddhists go through when we take - compassion for the unborn + women - karma and its inescapable nature
