Luv'in the hat!!
This hat has been a lifesaver this season, I love it too!
Thank you, so very pretty 😊😊😊😊
You’re welcome 😊Glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely garden tour, Pam
Thanks for visiting. It is my therapy. I need it or I would really be a nutter.
@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse Haha I can relate to that! I always enjoy your tours and how you explain about how your garden is something that will never be truly finished and its the working in it that brings you the most pleasure.
Beautiful looking rose cottage garden, its the bees knees.
If something is doing well in a pot and you have animal pressure why don’t you just put the pot and plant in the ground?
I do that and it works very well.
@@user-tj7kc5il7h Our flowerbeds are full and we don't have room for pots in them. We are lucky we don't have any animal issues in our garden but we do get slugs and snails. We use slug traps in the flowerbeds for them and copper tape around the pots. We do have about twenty pots of tender perennials that will go into the glasshouse over winter. The plants we store in the glasshouse over winter are agapanthus, alstroemeiras, calla lilies, delospermas, hebes and shrubby salvias. The rest of the pots are put up against the side wall of the house to protect them from winter wet. We do get artic blasts from time to time where it can get down to minus ten celsius or lower. All the plants in the flowerbeds are fully hardy except phygelius and kniphofia they get a mulch of leaves to get them through winter.
Thank you!
I have done that with many plants. My next garden tour I will point them out.
I put many plants into my greenhouse as well in winter, even though they are supposed to be hardy in my zone. My conditions in winter are still challenging for them. Like Dahlias, it is claimed if you just mulch them well they will overwinter in the ground but I have not had that be true. The ones I kept in pots in the greenhouse fared very well. Always a trial and error to find what works best.
I agree to move the trumpet vine. It really attracts a lot of bees and when the flowers drop it’s Very messy and a bit slimy.
Lol, your rooster was crowing along with ours.
The roses are having a great year and here as well. They are the best behaved flowers.
I love my roses and am putting in more! But then my Rose Cottage garden has room for more roses as I move other plants. I agree, the trumpet vine is really attracting ants as well. I think it will do better back by the Back Lane Garden, (in a container!).
Hello dear flower patch lady, whow, the more I see of your garden s t by e more I love them, I love the trailing trumpet flower. Its beautiful too..I think your back lane is a delightful place.and yes living their best life is whether plants are doing..oh my goodness mr gopher you really need to move on to another area.im sure I heard him chewing.?oh I cannot decide, but primrose cottage is very very elegant and appropriate. Our primrose s here are that same colour,,hmmm!.I will love whatever you decide. But certainly love primrose cottage.what a pretty place. Sending love and best wishes from me as nd my garden girls 🐔. To you and your s,oh from ozzie too..my back lane neighbour s dog,its staying with me still whilst he is still in hospital. Xx
Thank you! I hope Ozzie is enjoying his time with you. I have a friend who is helping me get rid of Mr Gopher so I hope it works. I found a rose yesterday he nearly chewed the roots off of. Grrrr.
Good morning Pam! 😊
Oh that little rascal!! I didn’t think the gophers went after iris…. Ugh
So far I’ve been lucky to have them stay away from my iris 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I try… sometimes I forget… try to put all my plants in gopher cages especially the ones that are a bit more of an investment lol 😅
Love the idea of dividing your hardy geraniums along that pathway. Beautiful ❤
I have been investing heavily in gopher cages myself! This year is the first they went after the iris so severely. Last time it was the Oriental Poppies, this year they haven't touched them. Who knows what they will decide to eat next, but I have a friend who gave me some tips as to what works for him and I am trying it out. If not I have a friend who has another trick that is working for him, so I have a couple options.
Beautiful, as always. Could you please tell me where you purchased these rusty arbours? Thanks 💚
I have seen them at different nurseries around California, but I got these at Green Acres Nursery in Elk Grove, CA.

That is feverfew that needs to be removed. Just haven't gotten there yet. It was pretty when it was in bloom.
I love the name Primrose but I think Buttercup Cottage really fits the bill. I did find 2 more Rozanne geraniums but would like at least one more. Are they really that easy to divide?
Yes, they are super easy...
here is my video on it: th-cam.com/video/q12PU6VE2L8/w-d-xo.html
I do it all the time
So I tried to cut a piece off and I got a nice leafy section but I only got one root. I think I will put it into a pot and baby while it grows some more roots. What do you think 🤔?
