That last clip was the weirdest one of the lot. The umpire gave him caught out even though the batsmen missed the ball by a huge margin and then the batsmen accepts the decision with no complaints and just walks off as if he actually edged the ball !!
It wasn't weird actually the batsman was out on the previous ball but umpire didn't gave out so it was a combined decision of opponent, umpire and the batsman. First have the knowledge then say
@@strangersings Well Mr smart guy, that makes it even more weird. A batsman given out because he wasn't give out on the previous ball ??? U think that kind of dismissal isnt weird and happens naturally in game ??
You are right Rick, at earliest days of cricket it was solely the umpire's decision whether the batter is out or not. But nowadays technologies have evolved and teams get enough chances to review the decision taken by the field umpire and correct it.
12:10 That's not very usual in cricket. Cricket is played in spirit of the game. Everyone respects umpire's decision. Now we have Decision Review System as well for worst calls. But matches doesn't end because of some bad decisions.
The last dismissal is probably from a charity match with rules like 'missing 3 balls in a row is considered out'. So what happened there is okay with the batsman and he walked off. Charity matches often have weird rules to allow audience to see all their fav players play atleast once.
G'day gents, Yes sometimes the wind blows the bails (little horizontal wodden sticks balancing on top) off. They have light and heavy bails for different wind conditions. If the ball hits the wickets but does not dislodge the bails you are not out. Hope that helps 🇦🇺🏏😁
Obstructing the field is when player intentionally block the ball to prevent himself out In the second dismissal it was just reflex but still umpire gave him out as he was out the crease and he blocked the ball which was going on the stumps
IN THE LAST CLIP YOU CAN SEE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BAT AND THE BALL BUT THEN ALSO THE UMPIRE GIVE IT AN OUT [ANOTHER UGLIEST DISMISSAL AND THE THING IS THAT THE BATSMAN WENT AWAY WITHOUT SPEAKING ANYTHING
Okay, the last clip was actually shared by yuvi in 2017. This was the most logical explanation given by Mohandas Menon, "For all those asking...This match was played for charity in 2007. The rules for this match was that if a batsman leaves two balls, which are playable, without playing a shot in the same over, the umpire can declare you out. And that's what happened in this case!"
Last clip was a controversial decision, where there was no sign of batsmen to be called out, but the the umpire declared him to be out. Interestingly the opponents never appealed for it and the batsmen just walked away
Umpires make wrong calls in cricket quite often. The referral system (third umpire) came into the game in 1992 but it was restricted only to run outs and stumpings. The referral could only be made by the umpire at that time. However, the players referral system known as the Decision Review System (DRS) was introduced sometime in the 2000s. It's used for all types of dismissals but mainly for LBWs and, edges & knicks. A team only has limited reviews per innings. Technology used in DRS has vastly improved from the early days and is expected to get better. Fun fact: The first batter to be dismissed through the referral system or third umpire was Sachin Tendulkar 😇 in 1992 against South Africa.
*Last one was the most horrendous cricket decision anyone could have ever seen even kids don't give out such appeals no contact with bat yet given lbw*
The last one was just ridiculous. Nothing to discuss about it. Third umpire should have got involved. At least in good spirit of the sport, the opposition captain should have involved. But unfortunately they did not.

Umpire gave him out in the last one even when you can clearly see the ball missed the bat and the batsman just walked without any questioning .

Dismissal just means getting out

There definitely have been cases of the stump lights going off without them being broken or the bails removed

To be out by hitting the stumps, atleast any one of the bail should fall, the bails are the two small cylindrical things kept on top of the stumps.
