How much beauty, not only in the luxury of having a colossal artist like Clara Sorace, but also in creating a dreamlike and very powerful universe resounding to the sound of her voice and taking us all to a world of ancient and golden light where any adventure is possible. You are a genius, Mr. Ford. Very few artists encourage me to write, and you've been doing it since I've known you. Very good work.

Two figures stood before campfire at chilly night.
One was novice soldier who was just recruited three months ago and was still uphold and strict trooper, with no experience from actual battlefields.
Barely having beard on his face, with helmet one size too big, he sit on the left side of the veteran, who had seen battle's more than a decade.
And his body was proof of every struggle old man had suffered during his survival.
Left eye was covered with cloth, yet scar was still visible beneath cover.
Right arm had three bullet wounds on it and left his fingertips were burned when gun exploded on his hand after overheating.
His hair was as grey as silver, which is why people gave him nickname "Grey coyote".
As coyote was staring at dark night, enjoying that one time of peace this ugly war had given them.
Rookie looked around and saw lots of soldiers, both troops and officers, exhausted and some heavily wounded.
"We got lots of losses today, sir..."
Coyote grunted for answer, trying to sleep for one moment.
Rookie looked at veteran silent, thinking about what officers talked earlier day, before the assault began.
"Sir... Can I ask something."
"Yawn*.... What is it now, little Rabbit?"
"What is this... Warrior's oath officers keep talking about? They made fun of you when you and chief mentioned it earlier..."
Coyote leaned towards Rookie and glared him with his right, intact eye with small smile hidden on his cheek.
"You woke me up for that silly question...?" He asked in exchange, staring with sharp glare towards rookie, who backed away a little bit.
He seemed to think that question was bad one and would piss old veteran big time.
Surprisingly, Coyote smiled and leaned back his spot, staring campfire for a few seconds.
Then, he started talking.
"Tell me, rabbit... What do you think IS "Warrior's Oath?"
Rookie was bit surprised about question, but started to think about it carefully and as logically as it might sound.
"Hmm... Never surrender."
"Heh heh... Only fools and cowards surrender before enemy that desires to destroy your life."
"... Could it be then "Strike down enemies of peace".
"Phah hah hah... Little rabbit, do you think creating wars where people kill each other would create peace magically? No, no, no... Far from it."
"Serve your country, then? That is what every troop are sworn for duty, right?"
"Indeed, that is our written command when you enter battle... But it's not even that..."
Rookie tried to think something else, but was even more confused with veteran's answers and could not find correct answer.
"Then what is this Oath?"
"... Simple. Never falter. Be invader or defender, this same rule applies everyone on the battle field. People rise, people charge. People die... People triumphs... People fails... Those are the very common elements that starts and ends wars. But true warrior's are known from these elements; they must not falter. Because scar of the coward is wound that haunt's warrior's pride more than any amount of lead on body or stab wound of mugger or poison of the assassin. Those officers who claims to be serving country has never set foot on war... Cannot never value worth of life in it's true form. Kings, who distant them selves from people they serve, can never truly understand those who support them unless they stood on their level. But warrior has two paths: Neither stand tall or abandon your oath..."
"And you would chose... Oath?" Rookie asked.
Coyote smiled and leaned against the wall, preparing to sleep.
But before that, he answered rookies question.
"Every single time."
