Is it just me or did that bin wobble when she pressed the lid to open it? That would annoy me no end, considering the cost of this thing. Is that adjustable with the screw-on feet she mentioned earlier in the commercial?
The legs are super even so if the floor isnt exactly flat, you gotta unscrew the rubber plugs in the leg ends a bit to adjust their height. My floor in my laundry room is super uneven so I had to tweak each leg's height a bit but nether laundry bin wobbles at all. The legs are decently thick cylindrical plastic with a notch so that it snaps into the bottom of the bin at a specific angle.
Thing is, I've got under floor heating in my kitchen. Was "forced" to have this when I had to replace my nice old boiler with a new eco one that doesn;t warm the kitchen enough! And as I had no wall space for a radiator, electric under floor heating was the solution offered to me. The electrician managed to put lots of cables just where I keep my bins! I should've told him but... who knew. Anyway I don't want my kitchen waste stewing away during the winter so I'm thinking a bin on legs may be the answer. I've tried sitting my old bins on wooden platforms ..... but honestly it looks really awful and the bins slide about. Sigh. May have to get this despite the fact it may well be a bit ricketty and completely over-priced.
They arent plastic. They are stainless steel with plastic hardware, and they are made in belgium. I bought the laundry bins. They arent super thick guage of metal, but they are high quality. The colored ones are painted with a flat paint. Go look at the steel colored oes and youll see that they arent plastic.
