They were so lucky to find Matt. Taking over from Avi was not an easy task and Matt worked really hard to fit in and add his own voice to the group. Also Matt and Kevin are very close and they’ve had a great time developing new percussion elements for the group. Matt plays the drums and they play together as part of the tour shows. Avi just chose a different career path. Never say never but after 7 years, I don’t think he’ll be back.

Well this certainly brings some joy to my ageing heart at this horrible hour😊. I agree about loving this type video, everyone shines and yet I still have to wonder if they're human. They never disappoint, it might just be me but pound for pound I think they're as good as anyone out there and should be huge stars! This pentaholic thanks you for the video and commentary

I know Avi's decision to leave was amicable, but based on context clues, I believe there may have eventually been some contention in the divorce, as it were. When asked about one another, they very professionally wish each other well in a sincere, but vague and diplomatic way. Kevin has maintained his friendship with Avi, and recently congratulated him on one of his solo releases on Instagram, which was lovely to see. It's been years, now, so hopefully they are all fine, and one big happy family with potential collabs in the future, but we won't know unless it happens. Maybe a few more years would help smooth things over, like on the 25th anniversary of the band or something. That would be cool!
