More Powerwolf. More Powerwolf. More Powerwolf. The pack demands it.
Let There Be Night, Where The Wild Wolves Have Gone, We Drink Your Blood, Alive or Undead, Beast of Gévaudan, When The Moon Shines Red - all songs I'd highly recommend. Also their cover of The Evil That Men Do is so good (I love all of their covers!)

@@shorkan1000 It's between The Evil That Men Do and Riding The Storm for me. I think they bettered the originals in both cases, just my opinion. Before they dropped Metallum Nostrum I was a big fan of most of the bands they covered, but Running Wild, Thin Lizzy and Savatage in particular I don't hear many decent covers to. Powerwolf are just epic, smashed them all.

You've converted me. First with Nightwish, now with this. Symphonic metal (operatic metal I guess is a subgenre) combines the gut punching power of metal with the musicality, beauty, and emotion of classical orchestral masterpieces. Grew up in the 60s and 70s, will never stop loving the music of that era, but this is rapidly becoming something that satisfies just as much.

    • @Clavix_and_Bob

    • @caligo7918
      @caligo7918 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

when i look at the early metal bands of the 60s and 70s, there are quite a lot of symphonic elements there. Especially early e-guitar solos sound like they could have been written for violins or cellos. And then there is the use of electric organs, giving an epic background....

    • @kittyflint705

You might want to look into power metal as a genre, too. You might like it 😁
A little less opera, but more power, in general. Powerwolf tends to be more on the power metal side of things, less on the symphonic side (though they definitely have elements of both, I'd say).

Having listened to Powerwolf for over 10 years and having looked up their earliest albums, I can tell that sometimes, it's genuinely hard to tell if a high note is a guitar scream or Attila nailing an insanely high note. I have seen Powerwolf live multiple times and I am still amazed at how insanely good Attila's voice is live. Sometimes he even messes with the (collective) audience by seeing who can hit the higher note. He (of course) wins by miles and then some. Attila's vocal range and power is on a whole different level.

You'd probably enjoy Sabaton's "Winged Hassars". look up the history behind the song first and listen to the studio version. Their stage performance in Poland was great, but you won't be able to hear the words as well.

I'm going to see Powerwolf in a few days. Can't wait! Also if you are looking for more Helloween themed reactions, you could check out Trick or Treat. I know not many people know them, but their singer is Alessandro Conti (also singing for Twilight Force) and he is pretty awesome.

I've watched many of your analysis videos, and I absolutely love them. There is one thing I can't believe: How is it possible that you have never analyzed any Radiohead songs? They have definitely created some of the best albums of the 21st century, and it would be very interesting to watch you analyze them.
Also, there's one band that definitely stands out in the modern world, and it's called Fontaines D.C. It would be absolutely amazing if you could take a look at them. I love all of their albums, but the newest one made Elton John call Fontaines the best band out there today. :)

You should listen to Staring At My Ceiling by this very underrated solo artist called the prospering. He has a magnificent voice and makes all the lyrics to his songs as he goes, free styling every verse. He has a very mellow and aggressive voice that works so well with his music. He is truly amazing 👏

Amazing song! 🤘 I saw them one week ago in Paris, their shows are just awesome, no one can resist! Special guests were Hammerfall and Windrose, such a unforgettable evening! You should analyse Hammerfall, Joacim Cans is one of my favorite metall singers. Why not ''Hearts in fire'' or ''Any means necessary'' or ''Between two worlds'' for example 😉

Please please please do an analysis of The Red Clay Strays. His control and range are amazing and their music is addicting. If you're reading this, go listen to them and recommend it to her every way possible. No one has done an analysis yet and I genuinely want to to see her melt to the music the way I did!

I think you are absolutely right. Metal and opera go together really well. And many metalheads do have an appreciation for opera. I certainly have a weakness for Wagnerian arias. I love a good Heldentenor.

Elizabeth. Would you consider reacting to some of the fabulous vocal groups, past and present? It's a target-rich environment that includes the Four Freshmen (who still perform), the Four Aces, Hendricks, Lambert, & Ross, the Sandpipers, the Hi-Los, the Lettermen, the Singers Unlimited, the Mills Brothers, the Pied Pipers, the Beach Boys, and my two favorite groups, New York Voices, and Manhattan Transfer. There are many others. Thank you.
