There new live show is soo epic!! I was at the Hamburg, Germany show in the beginning of October. The front row was worth every second of the 11 hours waiting! We really need a tea time with Atilla about it!
@@zarahmb1711 Same here. In the end i paid 20 Euros for it, but it would have eben worth the original price by far. I am a professional stage technichian and this show is on my top 3 so far. And in their category easily No. 1 by far. And i have seen many shows.
More Powerwolf. More Powerwolf. More Powerwolf. The pack demands it. Let There Be Night, Where The Wild Wolves Have Gone, We Drink Your Blood, Alive or Undead, Beast of Gévaudan, When The Moon Shines Red - all songs I'd highly recommend. Also their cover of The Evil That Men Do is so good (I love all of their covers!)
@@shorkan1000 It's between The Evil That Men Do and Riding The Storm for me. I think they bettered the originals in both cases, just my opinion. Before they dropped Metallum Nostrum I was a big fan of most of the bands they covered, but Running Wild, Thin Lizzy and Savatage in particular I don't hear many decent covers to. Powerwolf are just epic, smashed them all.
Pretty sure Elizabeth's face would match her hair listening through "Resurrection by Erection" if "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" was any indication.
Glad you're doing a Powerwolf reaction video again, and in my opinion Attila has one of the best vocals on the scene. And he's even more incredible live than in the studio version. This band deserves more recognition.
You've converted me. First with Nightwish, now with this. Symphonic metal (operatic metal I guess is a subgenre) combines the gut punching power of metal with the musicality, beauty, and emotion of classical orchestral masterpieces. Grew up in the 60s and 70s, will never stop loving the music of that era, but this is rapidly becoming something that satisfies just as much.
I do remember Elizabeth saying "i'm not really into metal" before her "Ghost Love Score" react. I think its save to say Nightwish converted Her, too! 😁
when i look at the early metal bands of the 60s and 70s, there are quite a lot of symphonic elements there. Especially early e-guitar solos sound like they could have been written for violins or cellos. And then there is the use of electric organs, giving an epic background....
You might want to look into power metal as a genre, too. You might like it 😁 A little less opera, but more power, in general. Powerwolf tends to be more on the power metal side of things, less on the symphonic side (though they definitely have elements of both, I'd say).
I just got to see powerwolf in concert last month and it was one of the best concerts ive ever been to in my entire life. They were absolutely amazing!!!!
same. funny enough i had never listened to them prior to seeing them live but i'm OBSESSED now lol. the show was one of the best concerts i've ever been to!
I saw them live this last weekend and MAN they can put on a show. The power in his voice is still there live - and their set was like 90 minutes, 12+ songs!
The song is about Peter Stumpp aka "the werewolf of Bedburg" who was a german serial killer who also was accused of being a werewolf and executed togeather with his daughter in 1589.
Wrote it years ago and I'm happy to write it again: I absoluteley enjoy your sheer excitement for what I love most in this world: Pure Heavy Metal. Whenever I see a video of yours discussing a song I like, I see a direct guarantee for me being happier than before. Thank you.
I've been at the live show on Friday in Stuttgart and during this song they litterally forced Falk the keyboarder of the band onto a burning pyre. This band is truly amazing, each song is fantastic and the live show was just pure energy. One of the greatest evenings of my life, to be honest!
since this tour, they play this song live. the show they deliver is always powerful and beautiful, but now they decided to up it once again and during 1589 they burn the keyboardist, Falk, at the stake. visually really well done
Everything that was performed by an Orchestra/symphony is classified as "classical". I've heard plenty of epic powerful classical music, which is basically metal. But there are alo quieter more mello compositions. I think we need to stop categorizing basically almost all music from the past as "classical"
Saw them Yesterday in Paris, it was my second times and certainly not the last one. This band is awesome, the show was fire (literally lol) and as Attila speaks very well French it was even more awesome. All the show has been performed in french, I mean the speechs between the songs and they even played « bête du Gevaudan » in French
Please spread the word about this band. Absolutely amazing and I cannot express enough how much to see them live! I’m glad you finally covered this song!
You mentioned that Verdi would compose such music if he was still alive today. I have a feeling that Paganini would be such a great metal musician if he was alive today.
I got to see them last week in Luxembourg and if was awsome. They put so much power, love and attention to detail into everything on scene, their interaction with each other and the people is great and funny and you just feel that they were born to do this. I was just blown away. Danke nochmal Powerwolf und kommt bald zurück :)
I was at two Powerwolf concerts in Germany the past weeks and I was wondering when you will react to them because of their opera elements and here we are!

Sometimes he even messes with the (collective) audience by seeing who can hit the higher note. He (of course) wins by miles and then some. Great song! More Powerwolf is always appreciated. My favorite classic scary type song is Welcome to My Nightmare by Alice Cooper. Also Bark at the Moon by Ozzy, which Powerwolf covered beautifully!
I love that Attila found his way to metal. It lets you do things with your voice that you couldn't do in the opera. Plus it's just fun. Especially live! This was a fun watch, and a different genre then I usually venture to so thank you! 😊
Saw them last Saturday. Attilas vocals are insane, even at the end of the 2 hour show.
And then you should see them perform live; in one word Amazing. Just been there 5th of October in Amsterdam. Really amazing. Live it's even better.
Oh, and since you're asking, my favorite opera is Die Zauberflote; also seen that live; really great.
Just saw them yesterday they were awesome :)
Sooooo excited for you to react to Adrienne Cowan of Seven Spires! She needs to be analyzed for sure! Let’s see it🎉
Agree, she has a stunning voice. The band as a whole is amazing, great players, great compositions, great lyrics, the whole package.
Elizabeth. Would you consider reacting to some of the fabulous vocal groups, past and present? It's a target-rich environment that includes the Four Freshmen (who still perform), the Four Aces, Hendricks, Lambert, & Ross, the Sandpipers, the Hi-Los, the Lettermen, the Singers Unlimited, the Mills Brothers, the Pied Pipers, the Beach Boys, and my two favorite groups, New York Voices, and Manhattan Transfer. There are many others. Thank you.
so many powerwolf songs you need to do!
