I’ve been watching him for a good long while now. Watching him really is like going down the rabbit hole, once you watch one video you can’t help but watch more and more….and more! He is amazing! What an incredible talent!
Beautiful work Tammy! I have been watching Djamel's videos for several years!! He's a genius, and a very generous person with his teachings. In his video number 300 from two years ago he shows how to prep a canvas for this technique, if you do not want to use the mdf boards for kitchen.
I follow Djamal and i think he’s one of the best artists due to his beautiful work and creatively. Watching his videos feel like interacting with viewers and always shares tips . He’s great as you are Tammy, sweet and caring about followers 🌸🌸
Your so awesome Tammy,!! So many incredible ideas in your head. Your so helpful in so many ways. Thanks again for always sharing your incredible imagination with us. Have a wonderful week. 😊🩷
Its a clever technique. Iv watched Djamel for a long time and got my self some laminated boards. I love the 3d look of it. You achieved that. Its such fun.
I just watched a video of this same technique, the gal was in Germany, except she spread a base texture using thinned paste. She added the paste making different textures then allowed it to dry before adding color. Just bought a bunch of new canvases, going to try it now. With and without the texture base. Love learning new stuff. Thanks Tammy.
I have watched him for a couple years now,I love his work, glad to see someone else finally take his work and hopefully make it their own, mix up technics,ECT. He's watercolor color is also amazing
This is an Awsome technique , Thank you Tammy for introducing us to DJamel. I look forward to some of his videos, as well as more of yours. Lots of possibilities I see it my brain is exploding tell him I.
I've watched many of Djamel's videos coz his work is so mesmerizing! There's an old, traditional technique for decorating furniture which gives very similar results to this. It's called vinegar painting or putty graining. The base coat was oil paint and I believe the glaze was made with vinegar, sugar, dish soap and dry/powdered pigment or tempera. The technique was (still is) used to create faux effects like marbling, malachite, tortoise shell, wood grain like elm, maple, mahogany and loads of other intricate effects. The putty was rolled over coloured glaze to create endless patterns and effects. Rags, sponge, newspaper, combs, anything really, can be used to create gorgeous patterns. It's a really interesting technique with stunning results very similar to the one you are demonstrating. It's great that acrylic paints can also be used.
Love this whole concept, Tammy thank you for sharing your discovery of another new artist and something different than the typical acrylic pour. You’re awesome you’re the best teacher ever. Thanks so much for all you do for all of us.❤
I’m commenting again as I see the depth and detail of the dry result. Tammy! Just wow! I look forward to see where you take this technique! So exciting!
Yes Tammy , it s a very surprising technic and results are amasing . Can i ask you if you can keep the design and warnish the board as a canvas ? Have you tried other materials ?

You had it damp then laying the plastic bubbles on top and lifted it made your design. This is gorgeous!
