Played this at GenCon first day. All four players bought the game. Now, planning to teach this tonight. This was an excellent refresher. I appreciate your structure to teaching. And, I like the pace of the video and cadence. Thank you.
I need this jacket AND this hair color formula. I mean, I came for the tutorial, but I ended up creating MOAR NEEDZ. Darn. Also, cheers for the amazingly clear tut!
Very clear and concise. Thanks for the excellent teach. Now, do I really need another medium-weight euro? After your video, I am starting to learn to a YES. Cheers
It's a pretty high amount of fun for a pretty low amount of effort in my experience so far. Easy to pick up but still has interesting choices. Bonus you can play on BGA already too.
You resemble Felicia Day and Christina Hendricks! Based upon a study an artist did, people who look similar have a lot of overlapping genetics (shared ancestry). I find that interesting. Thank you for a good explanation! I hope you make more How-to-play videos. You're up there with Rodney in logical, clear, concise explanations. Now please teach me Voidfall...
This is one of those videos where it seems like the person is good at reading words but has maybe never played the game. Some people are good at reading, but maybe not as good at teaching.
@@AndrewLaValley that is your opinion. The game has 2.8 complexity and 60 minutes of play time. Usually rool teaching video of this game would be like 20 minutes
@@therewasaman61 I don't think complexity has any bearing on the time to teach. If you feel you don't understand something, it's a TH-cam video you can replay it. But if they get through all the rules I don't think embellishment is the way to go.
@@AndrewLaValley When I was watching this video first time I did exactly what you suggested. Then I realize I was pausing and rolling back every 10 seconds. So I asked myself 'Why would I do this cruelty to myself? Instead, I wish the video creator didn't narrate as if she was being chased by someone."
Music too loud. Hard to hear you :(
Audio is tricky. I'm not having that experience it seems pretty good to me with my headphones on.
I don't think I had trouble actually understanding Becca, but I agree, the music was a touch too loud
Yeah it is a bit distracting.

Was a bit confused about the clan tokens but that makes sense now; 1 of each per type per clan space & then 4 left over for elsewhere on the table.
it's also in beta on BGA boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=riverofgold

Yes! Finally more of Rokugan! 😍
That was a fun teach!

I just learned of this game today and it has rocketed up to look for at gen con.
It's also on BGA (I believe in Alpha). It's pretty cool!
Solid presentation, very helpful. Though it seems some brightness/saturation problems on the video settings.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Is it right to play two? Thanks
Thanks for the excellent tutorial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love it!
WELCOME BACK, BECCA!
No more diet, caffeine free coke. We want the real thing!
Thank you 🙂 (Reduce music next time please)
I feel like the grading is a bit off. Just up the exposure a touch.
+1

Becca makes the best “how to play” videos… in the world❤
That’s true! Super pro! 👏👏👏
No offense to Becca but.... Rodney Smith is KING ....
Couldn't focus on rules. Kept getting distracted by her smile and hazel eyes
OMG, that music is distracting 🥴 Didn't even watch the whole video because of that.

WOW another Euro Economic Game with an Asian theme…how original!
I know. I feel like I've played this before
it seems like you are in rush. why? make the video 20 minutes and it will be better. Dont forget you are not telling things you are teaching things
This doesn't feel rushed at all imo

This is 100% a geek and sundry with Felicia Day knockoff, but if those shoes are empty...
Not really a knockoff if it's the same people doing it though..
both Becca, Jake and many of the other Good Time Society folks are from Geek and Sundry.
That's a weird thing to say seeing as how I'm pretty sure Becca did the majority of the game tutorial videos on Geek & Sundry
