No mod for you. Thank you for letting us know not to take apart this light. Usually I am not as brave or technically qualified as a lot of other people doing mods and if I run into any significant resistance I just stop.
Try using glue dissolver if it seeps down you know that you have a thread or connection point. It also makes the disassembly much easier. In regards to the battery, try to get it out by blowing compressed air between the battery and inner tube. It should fly out. You could then glue and solder an anode in the center of the PCB and the minus to the rim of the PCB. This could work if the battery is standard size, like a 14500. Good luck!
This is all good advice, however I left some things out for sake of a smaller video: 1) the bezel was glued down, and I was unable to open it with either a DSLR filter tool or snap ring plier 2) Bob Smith Industries CA resolver didn't help the seam at the tail end I pointed out. 3) the battery is so glued in, that I was unable to pull it out by using hemostats on the remaining cathode strap. I put so much force that the remaining strap snapped off.
@@cheule I'll guess you'll have to use a corkscrew to get it out 😬 I used IPA to break the bond on some things but I would drop a few drops on it every few hours and it would go on for days. Maybe it's more trouble than it's worth but you're already at a point of no return. I'm going to do some mods that require destroying the lens because the bezel ring is press fitted.
At what point and time does anyone realize all four of the horses legs broken and you need to show it some mercy and put the poor guy out of it’s misery? I would have done so with one broken leg but all four it’s really suffering.

When I charge mine it has a solid blue light and it flashes red around the perimeter, what does that mean?
I have forgotten, and as you see I destroyed the light… but I think the light was solid blue, the. The light went out when charged?
