Jane Doe I don't know of anyone who wore clip on earrings in the 80s. I remember my mother having some from her younger years and tried them once, they hurt! Women had their ears pierced in the 80s. In my mom's younger years, that was considered whorish. By the 70s, that was a battle with moms but most females got their ears pierced if they wanted to wear earrings.

Idk how to feel with Blackie taking the entire blame...I know the guilt is eating at him but Steffie had a lot to do with the death of Lou. Why wasn’t rose given the same courtesy as Rick, everyone came to ricks side when Leslie died, even rose but not one person was by roses side for the death of lu, who kept saying what a sweet girl she was. Poor rose all alone. Thank god for jake.

@@Sam-cg6rv You cant blame the writers for all of that. The actors have wills of their own. To this day I dont know exactly why Chris Robinson, Sam Behrens or Tristan Rogers left the show. But Chris and Tristan both have several years on the show. The writers just write the story. The Executive Producer and the Network negotiate contracts. As a writer myself I really hate it when everyone always blames exists on the writers. I know for a fact that Tony Geary couldnt wait to live. Much like Genie Francis all the hysteria of his sudden superstardom was a bit too much for him. He has said that many times.
Soaps changed a lot after the 80s. The budgets for one thing were really reduced. Sam Behrens ( Jake) went on to Knots Landing like Doug Sheehan ( Joe Kelly). Tony Geary wanted a break. Tristan Rogers I dont know about but after staying on the show since for about 11 years from 81 until 92 he probably wanted to move on as well. Today soaps dont pay as well the networks dont support them but the work remains very hard with all the dialogue and such and the actors have zero time to rehearse. Its no wonder so many of the greats are gone. Not to mention the fact they are all much older now. This was 36 years ago. Practically everyone you see here is in their 60s at least. Heck even John Stamos ( Blackie ) is in his 50s now.
It's a manslaughter charge and he deserves it. Why is everyone behaving as though Lou's death should be brushed away just because they know and like Blackie? The only one being honest here is Blackie. They are all disrespecting Lou in this.

John Stamos was incredible in these scenes. I have to look up if he was nominated for an Emmy. He really deserved one!
