I assume this is about the block at around 13:06 I didn't consider that when I was going through it but pitching the instants does open up some relevant lines here for sure. If you get to the last chain link with that hand I like blocking with arcanite + pitch the instants to activate aurora and arsenal exude. The key benefit is that you get to keep tunic and prevent zen from getting the free draw off the weakest link on-hit which might be relevant. I don't think this came up in the video but these modern zen decks have some hands that really want to block, so setting up with arsenal + embodiment and hoping Nick can't convert 4 cards might be the correct play.
I think even with a good CLV line Zen would've still won. He still had 8 HPs plus Kasaya and Shukos so he was really far ahead this game (considering his insane draws that's only fair). 😁 Very cool content, love the reviews !
Thanks for the nice words! I was surprised that Aurora had the output to keep up with Zen playing Chase the Tail every turn. I think the deciding factor was defensive cards + weakest link from Zen when I thought it would be way more of a blow out in terms of raw damage. Probably still left over impressions from old zen
@@Soren5 New Zen is much grindier than the old fashioned one. He won't dish 30 damages turns but he has very good offensive and defensive tools to present.
