Mungpoo to Ramdhura - North Bengal Bike Trip

Starting early morning from Mungpoo our plan was to visit Kafer Gaon, a new offbeat destination near Kalimpong. But destiny had something else in mind. Starting the day with a freshmind and beautiful weather, we first crossed Kalimpong. The day was Buddha Purnima and we got lucky to witness some vibrant Buddhist rituals on the roads of Kalimpong. After crosin Delo, Google Map ditched us and by mistake we took the road to Ramdhura instead of Kafer Gaon. We visited Ramdhura before, but the fond memories of the place and the nostalgia compelled us to stop there for the day. In Ramdhura the whole village and the adjacent Munsong village both are full of beautiful and attractive homestays. One can easily get a room any time of the year if they search properly. We got a room at Rs.1000/- on per day per head basis in Simma Homestay. The position, room, food and specially the hospitality of the hosts were A class. The rwst of the day we explored Ramdhura in our own style paying a special visit to a nearby Hanuman and Shiva temple. In the homestay we got good company and also got lucky to have the glimpses of miughty Khanchendzongha next morning. We started the journey again without fixing any destination and allowed the roads to fix it for us.
